Top aide to Hillary Clinton questioned (April 5th) by FBI in email server investigation

Huma Abedin, a close aide to Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton, was questioned last month by FBI agents investigating whether classified material was mishandled on the private email server used by the former secretary of State and her aides, according to a person familiar with the investigation.

Abedin was interviewed for about two hours at the FBI’s field office in Washington on April 5, according to the source, who spoke on condition of anonymity because the investigation is ongoing."

Why Did NBC News Sit on Explosive Story About Clinton’s Alleged Hacked Email Server For Weeks?

"Now, this is where things get a little strange. As was noted earlier, NBC News says Lazar made these claims to McFadden during an interview in a Bucharest prison and we know Lazar was extradited to the United States on or about March 31, 2016. So, it stands to reason that McFadden conducted the interview before he was extradited to the U.S. which means NBC News was sitting on these explosive claims for more than one month. Which begs the question, why would a major news network sit on such an explosive allegation — especially when the claim directly relates to a presidential candidate and the biggest story the 2016 presidential election cycle?

Understandably, production on a special might take longer than usual — but given the story — networks have turned interviews around in mere minutes.

The delay cost them what would’ve been a huge exclusive, or at least seemed to prompt them to hurry and put something out as Fox News went with its own story and interview with Lazar late Wednesday. Fox News clearly did their interview with the hacker after he arrived in the United States. As they mentioned, they visited him in a Virginia jail.

We reached out to NBC News for clarification and a spokesman declined to comment at this time"

I posted about this as soon as the story broke.

I'm not saying that this dude actually did hack into Clinton's server but his story was definitely news worthy and NBC sat on it until they found out that fox was gonna beat them to the punch.

It's looking like NBC sat on the Guccifer story for over a month.

From everything I've read so far the interview was in a Bucharest prison and that would be before he was extradited to the US at the end of March. This was well before the NY primary. Seems odd to wait that long.

I can see editing and production time but this is serious stuff.

Hacker 'Guccifer': I Got Inside Hillary Clinton's Server

Source: NBC

The Romanian hacker who first exposed Hillary Clinton's private email address is making a bombshell new claim -- that he also gained access to the former Secretary of State's "completely unsecured" server.

"It was like an open orchid on the Internet," Marcel Lehel Lazar, who uses the devilish handle Guccifer, told NBC News in an exclusive interview from a prison in Bucharest. "There were hundreds of folders."

A source with knowledge of the probe into Clinton's email setup told NBC News that with Guccifer in U.S. custody, investigators fully intend to question him about her server.

Lazar, 44, gave no proof to back up his claim and would not provide copies of the emails he said he downloaded.

Note he talks about the folders. I've always thought with the FBI. It wouldn't be so much the emails as much as what's on/in the virtual desktop.

US Judge: Clinton may be ordered to testify in records case

WASHINGTON (AP) — A federal judge says he may order Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton to testify under oath about whether she used a private email server as secretary of state to evade public records disclosures.

U.S. District Court Judge Emmet G. Sullivan on Wednesday signed an order granting a request from the conservative legal advocacy group Judicial Watch to question six current and former State Department staffers. The list includes some of Clinton's closest aides from her tenure as the nation's top diplomat.

Based on what might be gleaned in those interviews, Sullivan says in his order that a sworn deposition from Clinton "may be necessary."

More than three dozen lawsuits have been filed seeking copies of government records related to Clinton's service as secretary from 2009 to 2013.

Question: Why can't Hillary win a Clinton?

With tonight, this makes Hillary 0 for 8 for Clinton County. It really doesn't mean much in the grand scheme of things but still very odd.

Bernie Sanders: Politico Exposes Clinton Campaign ‘Money-Laundering’ Scheme

"BURLINGTON, Vt. – U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders’ campaign manager, Jeff Weaver, on Monday criticized a Hillary Clinton campaign fundraising scheme that state party leaders told Politico has been used as a self-serving “money-laundering” conduit.

Despite Clinton’s pledges to rebuild state parties, Politico found that less than 1 percent of the $61 million raised by the Victory Fund has stayed in the state parties’ coffers.

“Secretary Clinton is looting funds meant for the state parties to skirt fundraising limits on her presidential campaign,” Weaver said. “We think the Clinton campaign should let the state parties keep their fair share of the cash.”

Sanders’ and Clinton’s primary campaigns both raised about $26 million in April, but Politico documented how the Hillary Victory Fund, a supposedly joint fundraising committee, has been exploited to inflate her presidential primary campaign.

“Secretary Clinton has exploited the rules in ways that let her high-dollar donors like Alice Walton of Wal-Mart fame and the actor George Clooney and his super-rich Hollywood friends skirt legal limits on campaign contributions,” Weaver added. “If Secretary Clinton can’t raise the funds needed to run in a competitive primary without resorting to laundering, how will she compete against Donald Trump in a general election?”
