Nobody is doing that.

And here it goes... cue the anti-Bernie rants
Nobody is doing that. But I can tell you that what we're hearing from that camp is clearly anti-Biden and a backhanded effort to subvert the Biden campaign. ONLY the winner gets to make decisions on how to run the campaign and who to include.

Predictable outrage to ensue.
It's not as though he deserves praise for trying to create division, suspicion, distrust and resentment.

What useful purpose does it serve? His "advice" was unsolicited and inappropriate. Biden's campaign and the party had ALREADY given the Sanders campaign every reasonable consideration and accommodation. Negotiations and compromises were made in good faith. Bernie already participated. That part is OVER now. OVER! Biden doesn't need any former rivals "advising" him how to run his campaign.

This is just another example of how people are oddly willing to do and say things that create an atmosphere of fear and hopelessness and negativity. Negativity generates apathy. Apathy discourages voter turnout. Low voter turnout gives Republicans a chance to steal the elections.

The campaign is over. Our party has chosen our nominee.

Biden's campaign and the party gave the Sanders campaign every reasonable consideration and accommodation. Negotiations and compromises were made in good faith. That part is OVER now. Biden doesn't need any former rivals "advising" him how to run his campaign.

This type of backhanded and back-channel "leaked" critique serves no good purpose. It's just something that creates resentment and distrust. It's pulling scabs off of old wounds and pouring salt in. It's a source of negativity. Negativity generates apathy. Apathy discourages voter turnout. Low voter turnout gives Republicans a chance to steal the elections.

Surely people have better and more productive things to do with his time than to take cheap shots at Biden from the sidelines. The GOP is already doing enough of that. Why add to it?

That last sentence nails it perfectly.

He's definitely disgruntled and he's got a chip on his shoulder. He's the Nader-lover who said that there's no difference between the Democrats and the Republicans. That's also a mantra often heard from his cult-like devoted fans as well as his favorite politician. In the end, Michael Moore is a grifter. When he's wrong, it's forgotten and never mentioned again. When he right, he's hailed by his cult as being some sort of political genius. Fact is this: He's NO political genius. He's just a cynic who parades around as though he's wiser than the rest of us.

Thank you! Why do so many not understand what that word means? Or...

The base of a party consists of those voters it can count on without reservation. Voters who do not say they have to be tickled just right to do the right thing. People who come out and support the party's candidates, come rain or shine.
Thank you! Why do so many not understand what that word means? Or, perhaps a better question would be "why do so many intentionally misuse that word?" The word "base" is not a synonym for "the furthest left of the left" and it's not a synonym for "purer than thou".

Oh well, all we can do is keep trying to teach them.

I sincerely welcome the help being offered and given by our Republican allies.

When it comes right down to it, I am able to look at things realistically and rationally by remembering that we're not MARRYING them for Pete's sake. They aren't "Trojan Horses". We're not re-writing our platform to suit them. They aren't taking over our party.

We're simply accepting their help... and we need all the help we can get. All of this handwringing and overwrought emotion and anger serves no useful purpose. Second-guessing and denigrating our nominee and party only creates distrust, suspicion and negativity. Threats of retaliation, or to withhold contributions (or votes), or promises to change party affiliations do not help either.

Those types of threats and smears only serve to create an atmosphere of negativity: Negativity generates apathy. Apathy discourages voter turnout. Low voter turnout gives Republicans a chance to steal the elections.

Many Republicans (and others) will continue to speak out against Trump (and for Biden) from now until election day, so everyone needs to get used to it. They're here to help and they're here to stay.

All I'm trying to say is this... I hope that the angry people can find a way to just let-go and TRUST JOE! We need to put our nation first and not indulge our vanity and pride. We can't afford that luxury. Joe knows what he's doing. Our party leaders know what's needed right now... so get out of the way and let them get on with doing what needs to be done.

Thank you! The Biden/Harris 2020 Train is about to leave the station... GET ON BOARD!!

C'MON! GET IN! We're taking back America!

Joe/Kamala or Biden/Harris 2020!!
They're stronger together & can't be bought!!
Jump on the Biden Bandwagon & abandon the revolution!!

Exactly! Thank you! I welcome our new Republican allies!

I swear to God, I've never see so much sanctimonious hand-wringing and worry over absolutely NOTHING. I'm sick of all the whining. We're not MARRYING them for Pete's sake. We're accepting their help... and we need all the help we can get.

People just need to let-go and TRUST JOE! He knows what he's doing. Our party leaders know what's needed right now.

Oh good lord! ROFL ROFL

It is about supporting actual, on the ground, Democrats wishes.
That's what the primaries were for. We now have a winner. We already know what the Democrats wishes are.

this is only about voting for the overall platform,
This type of grandstanding and showboating... whining, disruptive and sore-loser behavior serves no good purpose.

It only creates division and distrust. Their negativity generates apathy. Apathy generates complacency. Complacency discourages voter turnout. Low voter turnout gives Republicans a chance to steal the elections.

I think that now is the time for mature adults to set aside their hurt feelings.

It's probably the same as you would have felt if some of the other candidates had won.
I think that now is the time for mature adults to set aside their hurt feelings and move on.

But if those were your feelings if, say, Sanders or Warren or Pete were the nominee,
I wouldn't be so self-indulgent or selfish. However, I can state that for the supporters of candidates other than Biden, their "disappointment" is certainly understandable... nevertheless, enough time has passed and it's time to get over it. Or at least fake the fuck out of it, and get on board (or just shut up about it until we're safely in the White House!)

All I'm trying to say is that the constant moaning... and groaning... and whining... and griping... and belly-aching serves no good purpose. That type of behavior is counterproductive and it deserves to be dismissed and ridiculed and discouraged.

How does it help our cause for anyone to continually be expressing sadness and regret that Biden is our party's nominee? How does it motivate people when they hear such overwrought distress such as "I'll vote for him, but..."; or "I guess we'll have to settle..."; or "he's the lesser of two evils..."; or "we're stuck with him..."; or "he's doesn't excite me", etc. etc.

All those things are just a few of the back-handed, passive-aggressive insults and smears that we keep hearing from people who demand that their feelings be respected.

I would not be similarly dismissive of them.
Really? Is that so? Then why all the pouting and why be so "dismissive" of our party's nominee? Why all the reluctant and begrudging "support"?

People need to ask themselves: What's more important? Being able to continually express disappointment and regret? Or getting people motivated to get out and vote for Biden?

This is all very Sarandonesque in my opinion. All these veiled insults and negative comments that are cloaked with "I'm just disappointed, you must respect my feelings" are toxic and harmful. The lessons of the past are already being forgotten (or willfully ignored).

Here's the thing: The overt expressions of "regret" and continued nitpicking and words of disappointment (and having to "settle'') only serve to create an atmosphere of negativity. That negativity generates apathy. Apathy discourages voter turnout. Low voter turnout gives Republicans a chance to steal the elections.

Thank you! Check this out, too...

I hope that people will fast-forward to the 55-second mark to actually LISTEN to what she's saying. Or read it. (I've made it as easy as possible for others by including a transcript that I typed myself.)

TRANSCRIPT of AMANDA SEALES (actress and comedian)

A "Karen" is a white woman whose oblivion of their privilege causes them to act in a way that is oppressive, and often-times... insane.

(video clip)

Some might think that a "Karen" is just a loud white woman asking for the manager. You know, disrupting your customer service experience. But I'm here to tell ya, Karen goes a lot deeper.

(video clip)

Karen is a white woman who is a descendant of those who came before her who could scream and get a black man killed, who could point and get a black woman murdered.

(video clips)

For me these videos are very triggering. I think that there's a certain level of like "oh-ha-ha-ha they're annoying" when you're just watching it. But when you're in that situation it is not an annoyance, it is a disruption of your being.

You know that as a person of color--specifically a black person--you are the one who's going to be in the situation of having to prove your innocence.
