The incriminating part for me is that the Sanders campaign reported

two breaches to the DNC in October and in at least one of them, the Sanders campaign felt confident that their data had been compromised.

There was no leak by the DNC to the media in October like there was this time
There was no locking out of the voter file of the offending campaign in October like there was this time because ...
There was no independent audit triggered by the DNC to get to the bottom of these incidents like they're talking about doing for this incident.

And there was even more reason to audit in October: because no campaign had admitted to breaching Sanders data in October nor did they have any assurance they got Sanders data back (if it was taken) whereas this time, the Sanders campaign readily stated what it had done and why.

A lot of fuss to protect Hillary's data this time but very little fuss to protect Bernie's data twice, in very similar circumstances last October - so you can't even count the DNC lack of response in October as a one off thing.

And that is in part why this Sanders techy wanted proof of the at least third exposure of their data - which got him fired. As someone who has worked in IT for decades, the guy has my sympathy. Apparently, the Sanders campaign fired him for not telling them immediately - but he did tell them before the breach got closed off. It was closed 41 minutes after they discovered it.

He said it took them a while (a few minutes) to get a handle on what they were seeing - which to me, is understandable. I still think the guy got the shaft - was a fall guy in this because I would have done what he did:
- figure out a little about what was going on so I could raise the alarm accurately and credibly
- get others to witness it and help get some evidence of the breach to protect the organization I work for - to give them something to prove the breach should they need it

What did the DNC do about it?
- Not an audit as both Sanders and his manager Weaver have asked the October incident get audited in the last 48 hours. Josh had expected one would have taken place (but it obviously didn't).
- Did the DNC leak it to the media last October like they did this time? Nope
- Did the DNC suspend the campaign who compromised Sanders data from accessing voter records and make sure they didn't have any of Sanders data? Nope, they didn't even conduct an audit to find out who got Sanders data!
- Did the DNC solve the data security problem? Not really. It happened again in October and again recently.

No, we don't have to speculate what would happen if the shoe was on the other foot because last October the shoe was on the other foot and the DNC did very little about it.

The conduct of the DNC is inexcusable. If Josh was fired for trying to get evidence and understanding of the breach for a few minutes before going to his superiors, DWS should be fired for never solving the problem and treating the two campaigns very differently under similar circumstances.

In October, the Sanders campaign reported a security breach to the DNC and that their data had been compromised.

Clearly, the chairperson did not handle that concern with the same "impartiality and even-handedness" that she handled the recent breach. Night and day difference between the two very similar events (except I suspect the Sanders compromise of their data was worse). No auditor called. No leak to the media by DWS. No suspension of the guilty campaign's access to the voter database.

It's utterly beyond any rational or conceivable debate that the handling of the two situations by DWS were remotely similar.

DWS is in violation of the duties expected of her under the "CHARTER OF THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY OF THE UNITED STATES" and she should be dismissed promptly.

25 July – Bella Ksalova, Cherkessk. A correspondent for the Caucasian Knot website and news agency, Ksalova died in a hospital after being hit by a car near her home. The driver was sentenced to 3 1/4 years in penal colony.[130]
1 August – Malika Betiyeva, Grozny-Shatoi highway. The deputy chief editor of Molodyozhnaya smena, and Chechnya correspondent of the "Dosh" (Word) magazine, died with four of her immediate family when a speeding jeep crashed into her car.[131]
11 August – Magomed Sultanmagomedov, Makhachkala. The director of the "Makhachkala TV" station died in the hospital after his car was shot at from another vehicle. This was preceded by an attempted bombing in 18 November 2008.[132] [J]

Short term, a racist like Trump would be awful

He'd get a bunch of people killed domestically and abroad. I obviously don't want that.

But I think Hillary is likely to try to prove she can be a commander in chief that can send troops into a war. She does not have a good record when it comes to judgement. She has an unprincipled weather vane for a rudder - look at her nearly endless list of flip-flops. I think those characteristics are just as likely to get a bunch of Americans killed too. Hillary is not a great thinker (unlike Obama for example) - she doesn't think stuff through and does not surround herself with people that do. Like Trump, she just reacts - and that can kill people.

Roe V Wade ... hate to see that overturned too but people will find ways to get abortions. They always have. And when it's taken away, it will cause more folks to sit up and realize what they've lost and what is going on.

Ditto for Obamacare - currently saving about 16,000 or more American lives per year. I worked so hard for that one. Take it away and more folks will get pissed off and hopefully press for single payer and Bernie's words "health care is a right not a privilege".

Demographics are shifting. Being oppressed by the oligarchy of rich white racists is going to come to an end in the not too distant future. Gerrymandering and Koch Citizen United money are some of their last clutches to power but they cannot stem the tide of change that's inevitable. All they can do is just delay it some.

Clearly, the Clinton campaign controls the DNC and DWS.

No one of note is holding DWS to account for her smear or double standard.

Courts take time

Iowa is going to be over long before they can do anything seriously legal now - given how they've handled it. The Clinton campaign and DNC will run out the clock on that.

I don't think the Sanders campaign is a scheming one. They strike me as pretty straight up folks trying to win on the issues, etc.
