Why are brains not allowed at Trump/Pence press conferences and rallies?

I understand that brains are not really necessary, and can actually spoil the mood at Trump's rallies, but to not even allow those with brains to attend seems unfair to the 57% of us who know that Trump and Pence are idiots.

With 30 Million Unemployed, Trump Calls His Virus Response Spectacular

From the article;

Trump graded himself and his administration’s response to the coronavirus spectacular, as the US number of unemployed reached 30 million.

Trump said, “I think I’ve handled it and not me, I think our whole group has been spectacular. We had ventilators. We didn’t have any. We built them, tens of thousands are under construction, and as Phil said, I think you got more ventilators than any than any other state. There was never a person that needed a ventilator that didn’t get one.”

Tribune CEO Terry Jimenez was unwilling to hear from workers facing furloughs..(X-post from GD)

Tribune Publishing CEO Terry Jimenez was unwilling to hear from workers facing furloughs and salary cuts.

From the article:

More than 100 Tribune Publishing employees told off their bosses in an internal Slack channel yesterday, calling out executives by name for putting shareholders’ interests over workers’ well-being and ability to report and deliver crucial local news to their communities, while pleading with them to consider alternatives to sweeping furloughs and cuts. The top boss responded by running away.

Tribune Publishing, which operates iconic papers like the New York Daily News, Baltimore Sun, and Chicago Tribune as well as lesser-known but vital local papers in eight markets, is backed by the reviled vulture capital firm Alden Global Capital, best known for stripping the Denver Post for parts...…

"Tribune gives $9 million on shareholder dividends, and then tells employees it's critical that they take pay cuts and furloughs that will save them just $556,979," another staffer wrote. "The person who made these decisions at Tribune hasn't mastered basic math."

On LA's Skid Row, Catholic Worker's 'Hippie Kitchen' adjusts to COVID-19

From the article:

By the middle of a typical month, the Catholic Worker’s soup kitchen on Los Angeles’ Skid Row would have served about 80 gallons of beans, to go with the salad and bread it hands out as part of every meal it serves. Since the pandemic struck, said Matt Harper, an organizer with the lay Catholic community, its clientele was going through about double that amount.

Harper, 31, said he’s noticed that many of the church groups and community organizations that provide food services to Skid Row — a 54-block area in downtown LA that is often tagged as the nation’s largest homeless encampment — have been running out of resources. “Folks were going longer and longer in between meals,” Harper said.

For the Catholic Worker’s meal center, known as the Hippie Kitchen, meeting the increased need while preventing the spread of coronavirus has meant improvising — both in how it provides its services and how it prevents the spread of the virus.

Trump Threatened to Sue His Campaign Manager Over Sliding Poll Numbers

From the article:

President Donald Trump threatened his campaign manager Brad Parscale with a lawsuit over recent poll numbers indicating he is losing support over his response to the coronavirus pandemic. The information came from three individuals familiar with the matter who spoke to CNN.

If Biden is inagurated in January of 2021, how long will it be until the GOP leadership

speaks about the crucial need to do something about the enormous deficit?

And, how much of the US corporate media will join in that chorus and demand of Biden, and the Democrats who control the Senate and the House, that the deficit simply must be dealt with?

Every time that the GOP is in charge, between tax cuts for the rich and unnecessary and unfunded wars, the deficit and the debt are enormously high, yet the GOP and the US media behave as if the GOP is a functioning, competent Party that specializes in fiscal responsibility.

From the article:

Former long-time top staffers to Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) have launched a super PAC aimed at turning out the Sanders base for Joe Biden.
According to a statement from the Future To Believe In PAC as provided to PoliticusUSA, “Future to Believe In will be governed by an experienced team of former staff of Sen. We all recognize the necessity of Biden winning, and of the GOP losing the Senate as well as the Presidency. McConnell is just as toxic, and just as much a threat to democracy as is Trump.

Mike Pence Suggests America Is Too Dumb To See What A Great Job Trump Has Done On Testing

From the article:

When a reporter asked Mike Pence why the Trump administration has failed to live up to its initial promise on coronavirus testing capacity, the vice president blamed the media and the American public for not understanding just how good a job the president has done.
“Mr. Vice President, back in early March you said we’d be at four million tests by the following week,” Jonathan Karl of ABC News pointed out at Monday’s press conference. “We’ve just now got there in the last few days.”

“What lessons have you learned from the mistakes over the last month and a half or so?” Karl asked.

To answer the last question first, Trump has learned nothing.

And I might add, if I were cruel, that 63 million US voters were too dumb to be allowed to vote, and many of that same 63 million have themselves learned nothing.

But I am too kind, and polite, to say such a thing.
