Who is the more insightful public speaker? Trump or Palin?

Every time I hear Trump speak, I am reminded of how awful Palin was at speaking in general, and at making any type of coherent sentence.

Both speak almost exclusively in slogans.

Neither can frame anything close to a coherent sentence.

Both are admired by their supporters as "telling it like it is".

So which one is the better, more insightful public speaker?

You decide.

With apologies, and admiration Mr Dylan. Blowin in the Wind updated.

How many tweets must an idiot tweet
Before you call him a fool?
How many insults must an orange clown make
Before you see he is cruel?
Yes, 'n' how many times must a Cabinet member leave
Before we see what Trump is?

The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind
The answer is blowin' in the wind

Yes, 'n' how many years must Mueller do his work
Before Trump voters will see?
Yes, 'n' how many years can some crooks go on
Before they're the Prez in DC?
Yes, 'n' how many times can McConnell turn his head
And pretend that he just doesn't see?

The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind
The answer is blowin' in the wind

Yes, 'n' how many times must a man be locked up
Before he can say what he knows?
Yes, 'n' how many plea deals must one man have
Before the criminality shows?
Yes, 'n' how many crimes will it take till he knows
That too many people have lied?

The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind
The answer is blowin' in the wind

I just read about a Trump voter who, after witnessing 2 years of nonstop lying, cheating, name calling, and general insanity, finally expresses some doubts about Trump's fitness.

What will it take? Really, what will it take?

Does Trump have to literally shoot someone? And if he did, how many GOP values voters would rush to justify the shooting?

Now that Paul Ryan is out of Congress,

how long will it be before he takes a position as a lobbyist, or as an employee of a right wing foundation?

Pope to church: Bring abusers to justice

From the article:

Shortly before Christmas, Pope Francis declared in response to the sexual abuse crisis that “the church will spare no effort to do all that is necessary to bring to justice whosoever has committed such crimes.” He promised that “the church will never seek to hush up or not take seriously any case.”
For decades, people have been hoping for such a statement from a pontiff, which Francis made in a public address to the Roman Curia, the offices in the Vatican that help him govern the church.

The Pope is the leader of the RCC, and the leader is always responsible for what happens in an organization. While the words are needed, and overdue, the only way that the actions will match the words is if changes are made to ensure that coverups are a thing of the past.

From 'cafeteria Catholics' to New Age nones, religion is getting very personal.

From the article:

Do you believe astrology governs your love life? Do you think some people have extraordinary powers of perception that allow them to predict the future? Do you hold that some items – such as crystals – possess special spiritual energy? Do you believe in the concept of past lives?
If you answered “yes” to one or more of these questions, you’re far from alone. According to an October Pew Research Center poll, about 62 percent of Americans believe in at least one of four beliefs the poll classifies as “New Age.”

Elizabeth Warren Shows She's Ready To Fight With Strong Takedown Of Trump's Grifter Presidency

From the article:

She took direct aim at what she called two years of Trump scamming and grifting the American people right before our eyes.
“We have lived through two years of one scammer and grifter after another, running federal agencies, running our federal government,” Warren said. “And we have lived through two more years of giant tax giveaways to the billionaires, to big corporations, and a harder and harder squeeze on working families.”

Trump is a symptom, not the cause.

Trump is a racist. An open racist. The GOP depends on racists as an important and large part of their base.

The only difference between the openly racist Trump, and Ronald "welfare queen" Reagan, is that Trump is open about it.

The only difference between Trump and Mr. 47% Mitt Romney is that Trump is open about it.

The GOP is the party of racists. The GOP cannot win without the support of racists. And that should be the narrative. Well, a part of the narrative.

With all of the talk by Trump of the necessity for a border wall,

and all of his framing that true security for THE AMERICAN PEOPLE can only be provided with a big, beautiful wall, my question is this:

exactly how many times has the US been invaded by any countries south of the US?

I know that the US, literally or by proxy, has invaded nearly every country south of the border.

I know that the Monroe Doctrine is cited as the justification for treating every South and Central American country, and the Caribbean countries, as the property of the US.

I know that the US regularly interferes in the affairs of all of these countries.

But what enemy has actually ever invaded?

Or is it brownophobia, the fear of brown skinned people?

This is what hope looks like:

It looks like 40 seats flipping from the GOP to the Democrats in the House.

It looks like Democrats making large gains on the state level.

It looks like Democrats picking up Governor’s s eats.

It looks like 49% voting versus 37% in 2014. And this higher turnout came in the face of increased GOP obstruction and suppression designed to weaken the Democrats.

It looks like a wave of schoolteachers rising up, many in reliably red states.

It looks like Beto O’Rourke falling short, but showing that Texas is slowly turning from red to purple on the way to, one hopes, blue.

It looks like 19 new women in the House.

It looks like younger voters starting to vote.

And all of these things represent bad news for the GOP.

It looks like Robert Mueller doing his work, and drawing every closer to the Trump crime family with each indictment, each conviction, each plea agreement.

Feel free to add more reasons, and more hope.

Guill
