In 1990 Mike Pence used campaign funds to pay his mortgage and other personal expenses

Washington Post has just posted this article about Mike Pence's past abuse of campaign donations:

https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/mike-pence-used-campaign-funds-to-pay-his-mortgage--and-it-cost-him-an-election/2016/07/15/90858964-49ed-11e6-bdb9-701687974517_story.html

"Mike Pence was a young lawyer on the rise, challenging a longtime Democratic congressman in a Republican-leaning Indiana district.

And then, scandal.

Campaign finance records from the 1990 effort showed that Pence, then 31, had been using political donations to pay the mortgage on his house, his personal credit card bill, groceries, golf tournament fees and car payments for his wife.

The spending had not been illegal at the time. But it stunned voters — and undermined Pence’s strategy to portray the incumbent, Rep. Philip R. Sharp, as tainted by donations from special-interest political action committees".

Such a perfect match for Trump

State Dept. says 2 Clinton emails classified by mistake

Source: Associated Press

WASHINGTON (AP) — The State Department says human error was responsible for a pair of Hillary Clinton emails the FBI identified as marked classified when they were sent.

Describing a somewhat opaque internal process, spokesman John Kirby says officials often mark "call sheets" at the confidential level when the secretary of state is considering whom he or she will call. Once the secretary decides to make the call, the call sheets would be no longer classified.

Kirby says the markings on the Clinton emails mentioned by FBI Director James Comey "were no longer necessary or appropriate" as Clinton already had decided to make the calls.

The call sheets prepare officials for diplomatic discussions. Kirby said Wednesday that the classification is designed to protect "the idea of the call itself."

Guess that means FBI's conclusion that those 2 emails were classified was a wrong assessment.
