California storm is a good one...
We really need(ed) this storm.
I live near San Pedro, California, and the rain has been constant since 7:30-8am (it's now 2:30) and showing no signs of stopping.
It hasn't been pouring the whole time, instead has been a steady rainfall with moments of hard rain.
I feel for the folks who live near the hillsides that have fire damage, though.
For the past several years, each time we got rain, it would rain for about 3 hours and move out. This is the first all day rain I can recall in many years...I actually couldn't tell you when we last had rain like this. 
A friend of mine on FaceBook (an actual friend, not just digital), called it "Moisturegeddon"—because So Cal drivers are so horrible in the rain. 
It was a pun on the 10 freeway closure a few years ago that was being called Carmageddon (I was corrected, it was the 405 fwy)
