Been trying to flush out this whole episode surrounding Rosenstein story NYT -

Charlie Pierce....There is some seriously wicked maneuvering going on here, as Charlie says.. as he tries to flush out the story,,

Isn't this exactly the kind of story you would want for Christmas, your birthday, or one of your several wedding anniversaries? In addition, Rod Rosenstein may be a "senior named official," but he doesn't have fck-all to do with the 25th amendment. That's only for Cabinet members and members of Congress. Why not ask the pastry chef, and, if he mentions the 25th, then attribute it to a "White House source close to the president*"? Holy hell, it isn't usually this obvious.

Then you have to follow up with another article by Charlie....

https://www.esquire.com/news-politics/politics/a22026080/new-york-times-donald-trump-family-values/

Here, Charlie lets Jill Abramson, former Exec. Editor NYT, have some space to air her take on the current Exec Editor NYT - James Bennit - as she says..

it’s past time for someone to wrestle the wheel away from James Bennet for his own good and that of the newspaper. I never will understand how this unexpurgated codswallop ever gets past the laughter -
We have a guy who writes for The Federalist and who is an editor at First Things, the latter a journal of faith that occasionally functions as a Catholic fanzine for Protestant fundamentalism

As Charlie laments.....Isn't this exactly the kind of story you would want for Christmas -

Yup, IMHO they will get caught again..

The most notable firings and resignations in the Trump administration

As I was reading the OP on K T McFarland fessing up to the FBI - I happened to wonder where she is now.....I still don't know...I do know she isn't the Ambassador to Singapore..and she is out at the NSA (OMG) - fired by H.R. McMaster, who is also OUT!!!!

I came across this little nugget from the LA Times - each name, be they fired or resigned has a "read more" link...some you will remember, or as I have done, "oh, ya', I forgot about that one...

TITLE IX Policy Changes - article from ASU -

http://www.statepress.com/article/2018/09/sppolitics-department-of-education-proposes-controversial-new-campus-sexual-misconduct-policies

Jasmine Lester, the founding director of Sun Devils Against Sexual Assault, a non-profit organization for survivors based out of ASU, said she sees several potential issues with the proposed changes. Her organization battles sexual misconduct that has occurred among ASU students as well as faculty.
Lester said she found one of the proposed policies particularly troubling.

Devos at your service....

“One of the guidelines says that colleges will have to launch any investigation into sexual violence with the assumption of innocent before guilty for the accused,” Lester said. “In a perfect world, that’s great, but this isn’t a perfect world. We live in a rape culture where rapists don’t go to jail, and cases don’t move forward. All that guideline means is that investigators have to enter a sexual assault case already assuming that the victim is lying.”

“I can’t imagine anyone is going to let someone accused of sexual assault actually cross examine the accuser, obviously that’s not acceptable,” Garrett said. “But cross examination is an invaluable tool in determining credibility, and it’s important because when you’re questioning someone in real time and watching their expressions, their responses are going to be more honest."

Someone ruined a football game last night

I have NEVER been so agitated - when Monday Night Football comes on - I am usually in the kitchen, starting dinner, my back is to the TV..so I listen - low and behold, I could not listen...a most grating voice I have ever heard.

STOP ESPN..you make me think you have a salary cap when it comes to your announcers...this person does not know football - this person tries to talk tough, and even fails at that - like I said to my hubby, if I was a blind person I wouldn't know what the hell was going on....and that voice..I had to mute the rest of the game...

Off to write my note to ESPN......MNF is on the line as it stands right now...
