https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/more-mcgonigal-trump-russia-smoking-guns-2-2-23/id1633301179?i=1000597654977

1st segment.. Do 15 words in The New York Times' infamous Halloween clearing of Trump on Russia identify one of the anonymous governmental sources of the lie as the just-arrested ex-FBI agent Charles McGonigal?

2nd segment..And a nitwitted Freshman Congressman from Missouri named Burlison not only compares DirecTV refusing to pay to carry NewsMax to the holocaust, but tries to ad lib Pastor Niemoller's "First, they came for the Socialists."

Priceless..

Az GOV Katie Hobbs Reveals West Valley Current Water Supply

Every new home built by a developer in Arizona must be able to show that it has 100 years of assured water supply.

On Monday, in her State of the State address, Governor Katie Hobbs revealed a large area of the far West Valley is far short of that requirement and accused former Governor Doug Ducey's administration of keeping the information secret from the public.

Hobbs said former Governor Ducey's office instructed ADWR to keep the report under wraps from the public.

"I do not understand, and do not in any way agree with, my predecessor choosing to keep this report from the public and from members of this legislature. However, my decision to release this report signals how I plan to tackle our water issues openly and directly," Gov. Hobbs said.

Arizona..Water/Saudis..AZ AG Mayes

AZ AG vows to repeal saudi farm-deal..but wait..CAN she? Extensive write-up..well done..Montini is an AZ treasure..

Mayes might be able to help with the Saudi deal, but that’s only part of the problem. If Arizona lawmakers don’t act soon the business interests draining the state’s aquifers will continue to do so until the cows come home. While the spigots in our homes run dry.

Arizona should not be giving its water away to the Saudi Arabians, or anyone else for that matter. Yet, for the past seven years, the attorney general and governor have allowed a Saudi company to pump out more than $38 million worth of groundwater from La Paz County for free.

AZ Governor Katie Hobbs signs 3 Executive Orders - Righting The Ship

https://ktar.com/story/5405302/arizona-gov-katie-hobbs-signs-2-executive-orders-on-homelessness-elections/

The first — and second signed since Hobbs took office — reinstates a commission on homelessness and housing that was abolished in 2020, by Gov Ducey... The other order signed on Friday establishes a bipartisan elections task force.

Executive Order 2 creates the Governor’s Interagency and Community Council on Homelessness and Housing, which will be chaired by the sitting governor of Arizona. The council will plan and develop policies aimed at addressing homelessness in the state.

Executive Order 3 established the Governor’s Bipartisan Elections Task Force to study and find recommendations to further bolster the state’s election laws and practices.

The sitting governor will chair the task force, which will include of the secretary of state, one county recorder nominated by the president of the state senate, a county recorder nominated by the Arizona house speaker, an election official from a city or town nominated by the League of Cities and Towns, among others.

I am thrilled Gov. Hobbs is so hands-on..but then, we knew this was her MO..so much more at link...

Move Water By Pipeline From The Atchafalaya River West To Arizona

In this proposal, no water would be taken from the main channel of the Mississippi. As of Dec. 19, 1.43 million gals/sec of Atchafalaya River water was simply going into the Gulf of Mexico without producing electricity or supporting commercial shipping. Taking just 100,000 gals/sec (7%) of this water would fill Lakes Powell and Mead to 50% capacity in one year and 9 months. The project would save on construction costs by using an existing facility – the Old River Control Complex just south of Vidalia, Louisiana, where the Army Corps of Engineers diverts 30% of the downflow of the Mississippi to prevent flooding in New Orleans.

This undertaking would build a 1,400 mile series of pipelines, open channels, tunnels and pumping stations (similar to the California, Los Angeles, Colorado River Aqueducts and the Central Arizona Project). It could be built in a year, along interstate highway rights-of-way, using huge earth-moving machines like those employed in Holland for their canal systems.

There is historical precedent for building systems like this project with deliberate, urgent, speed. In less than a year between 1942 and 1943, the RFC financed and built two pipelines of similar length, 1,200 and 1,400 miles, to carry crude oil from Texas oil fields to the East Coast. These pipelines rescued the entire East Coast industrial oil refining system and won World War II for the Allies.

All U.S. senators and representatives, regardless of party, should get behind HR 3339 and vote for the National Infrastructure Bank. Map at link..

Feb 6, 1978..worked in Braintree Ma..I was an observer of calls for

NETCO.."okay, you can all leave at 3PM.."..N on RT128..S RT 95..N RT 495.to my rural town of Holliston..my little Gremlin got me home..I could feel and hear the snow on the under carriage of the car..5 days later the kiddos and I made our way to the end of the driveway..the front end loader came through..we shoveled a path out to the road..We had a snowmobile so my 14 year old went door to door for what they might need..milk, bread etc..short ride to our little village store..not much left but managed to get something for everyone..

When I think back on that evening ride, and following tire tracks and rear lights..I made it 3 hours..normally 1 hour ride, I was able to get the car just up the driveway enough ..off the road..I was on call, having a CD (civil Defense) license, but way down the list, because of the children..co-workers phoned around making sure everyone was okay..

Just one of many Where Were You Stories..but, you don't forget..be well all, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year..
