Mmm, homemade peanut butter cookies.

Notice I use only brown sugar, not white sugar. Makes for a richer cookie.

Ingredients

1 cup unsalted butter
1 cup crunchy peanut butter
2 cups packed brown sugar
2 eggs

2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda

Directions

Cream butter, peanut butter, and sugars together in a bowl; beat in eggs.
In a separate bowl, sift flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt; stir into butter mixture. Put dough in refrigerator for 1 hour.
Roll dough into 1 inch balls and put on baking sheets. Flatten each ball with a fork, making a crisscross pattern. Bake in a preheated 375 degrees F oven for about 10 minutes or until cookies begin to brown.

Made semi homemade biscuits today.

OMG, they were good. I didn't have any buttermilk, so I got some sour cream and added it to the milk. About 1/2 cup sour cream and 1/2 cup milk. Then I added about 3 cups bisquick. Mixed it up, poured the batter onto my new kitchen island that was coverd with more bisquick. Folded about 10 times. Patted it out, cut them and put them on an ungreased baking sheet. Put them into a 450 degree preheated oven for about 10 minutes. Took them out, brushed with melted butter. Put them back in for 5 minutes. Took them out and brushed them with melted butter again and put them back in for 2 minutes.

They were so light on the inside and crumbly buttery on the outside. Oh, and I always keep my bisquick in the freezer. Lasts longer and makes incredible biscuits!

I simply just want to pat myself on the back.

I put this together yesterday and today made homemade biscuits and gravy. This came in a few dozen pieces not to mention the few hundred screws and bolts. Whew, I have wanted a kitchen island on wheels for a long time! Now I can make all kinds of goodies!!!

Turns out "Orange Boy" is a mother.

The feral kitties I am feeding. I thought the orange cat was a boy and the tortoiseshell was the mommy. I was wrong. Orange "Boy" was nursing two beautiful orange kitties. This is one.

Orange girl and one of her babies. I think the other one is poly-dactyl, but I can't get close enough to get a good look.

Unfortunately the cute little black kitty hasn't been seen in a couple of weeks. But, next week is the start of my trapping, neuter release for the whole pack of cats. Wish me luck. http://www.gofundme.com/meowomon

The kittens are finally here!

The kittens showed up today. This picture shows a little black one about 6-7 weeks old and the other kitty I didn't get a picture of is an orange tabby the same size. In a couple of weeks I can start the trapping to spay neuter the all. Thank you for your help!!!

This weekend begins the quest for the kitties.

This is the weekend I go looking for Splitface and MamaKitty's babies. They should be around 4-5 weeks old. Plenty old enough to start eating dry food.

Viewers Are Quitting 'Game Of Thrones' After That Controversial Scene

"Game of Thrones" has chopped off heads, castrated characters and slaughtered them in wedding blood baths. But HBO tested the limits of many viewers with a recent scene involving sexual assault.

Sunday night's episode of "GoT" will undoubtedly be remembered as one of the most controversial episodes of the series. In the episode, Sansa Stark marries Ramsay Bolton, a character known as the most sadistic, evil and twisted in all of the Seven Kingdoms. During the wedding night, Ramsay forces Sansa to undress and proceeds to violently rape her as he forces his slave Reek (formerly known as Theon, Sansa's childhood companion) to watch the horrific act.

It was an incredibly disturbing and upsetting scene to watch, prompting a public response from author George R.R. Martin. But the episode has also turned some people away from the show for good.

Feminist site The Mary Sue declared on Monday that they would no longer be covering "Game of Thrones" following Sunday night's rape scene. Jill Pantozzi, editor-in-chief of The Mary Sure, wrote that the scene was "not necessary to Sansa’s character development," nor necessary to further prove Ramsay's evil nature. Pantozzi noted that Sansa is already a survivor and thus, "rape here, like in all instances, is not a necessary story-driving device."

I dreamed of kittens.

Hundreds of kittens. Just an update on my quest to get some feral cats fixed. I had a dream the other night that I went looking for the kittens that Mamakitty and Splitface had recently. ( Pictures in this post http://www.democraticunderground.com/116121812) Those are the two tortie cats. I went to the vacant lot behind my house and found, not a few kittens, but hundreds of adorable 3-4 week old kittens.

LOL, I was so overwhelmed with kittens. I was worried that I wouldn't be able to spay/neuter them all. I think on my next day off, I am going to see if I can locate Mamakitty and Splitface's little brood. Maybe if I find them, I can get the process of trapping the adult cats sooner. I can't start trapping until the new babies can eat solid food. I need to know they are safe. Maybe if I find them early enough, they can be adopted out as pets. Any thoughts?

While I would never desecrate a US flag, I defend your right to do so!

I think I just got blocked by an old high school friend on Facebook. She had a stupid meme about respecting the flag and about many soldiers who died for that flag. I told her that #1 no one die for a flag. That if they did fight in our armed forces, that they fought, in their minds, for American freedom. #2 that the Supreme court already upheld "desecrating" the flag as free speech.(Texas v. Johnson, 491 U.S. 397 (1989)) and #3 most importantly didn't she respect the US Constitution?

I guess I pissed her off. LOL, America. Her idea of patriotism? America. Love it or leave it. Get the fuck out she said. I just don't understand how that is freedom.
