My new camera .....

Recently my little Nikon L22 bit the dust. My bank account demands that I replace it with one similar in price. I searched and searched looking for a 'pocket' camera for those times that I couldn't carry much and I wanted something higher than 10MP, AND one that uses AA batteries. Well I decided on a Nikon L620 which is scheduled to arrive today. This new camera is, IMHO, a step up for me.

I was just wondering if anyone is familiar with this particular camera. I am a super novice photographer who's very interested in nature shots. Now that I'm no longer working (recently granted disability) there is more time I can devote to my hobby. I'd love any input regarding this camera. Thank you in advance.

Our little Ms Kandi - the (almost) 4 pound Chihuahua is

our 3rd Chi who gives mountains of cuteness and love. Like I said, she is our 3rd. Her two older brothers have passed on. We got her from a (suspected) puppy mill when she was only 1.5 pounds at 5 weeks old. It's incredible how much joy and love this little sweetie gives us. Her "sister" is a 14 pound Russian Blue kitty who loves to chase her around the house. There are times we turn off the tv to watch the fun as they play tag. LOL

I've always adopted large breed dogs. I overlooked the small breeds because I thought they were "yappy" animals but all three of ours are very quiet. As a matter of fact, Ms Kandi never barks even if someone is outside. No .... she will jump off the sofa and hi-tail it to the bedroom when she hears someone. The only time she ever barks is if she's hungry, needs to go outside to do her business or when she's being given her treats.

I couldn't imagine how empty our lives would be without her. We are so blessed.
