No Vested Interest
No Vested Interest's JournalMy attorney advised me to get a fire-proof portable safe.
(He had seen his parents' home demolished by a tornado and had a fire in his own home that destroyed much.)
I purchased the safe and have some documents in it, but frankly, it is likely too heavy for this now elderly woman to carry in an emergency. Guess I'll depend on the fire-proof part of it, though I keep it unlocked in my office/spare room.
Thank you for sharing this today.
13 yrs ago today my dear one departed.
His leaving was not unexpected, after illness of many years.
I was younger and stronger and able to negotiate life.
Now I'm older, slower, and missing my dear one more and more.
He might have posted online of his encounter with a "masked person" in his store,
rather than telling your neighbors in person.
Likely that's his life, and also likely that his income is derived from selling something other than candle warmers.
Really???
Love George M. Cohan songs and sing them frequently -
Give My Regards to Broadway-
You're a Grand Old Flag
Mary Is a Grand Old Name
Over There
Etc.
You've Got a Friend in Me
Happy song, upbeat!
Also - I'd do Anything For You - Love that dog food commercial.
I've been using a little Vicks VapoRub in the nostrils every night at bedtime since Covid
began - ca 3 yrs ago. (Have not have covid but have been fairly isolated.)
Didn't know if it would help protect the nasal passages from covid, but believe it couldn't hurt.
Am late 80's and still holding my own mentally, so if Vicks VapoRub has been beneficial, that's great.
It's relatively inexpensive and a jar lasts a long time. - "a little dab will do you", as another product proclaims.
