I feel it's necessary to keep informed on events in Ukraine, so I take in the latest horrors there, but details of the senseless shootings in my locale (the shooter/killer felt "disrespected", etc.) are beyond my area of tolerance.

I ran into the PBS version of "Anything Goes" last night, and even though the plot is as silly as some of Opera's, the Cole Porter music was too much to resist and I stayed till the end.
Tonight there was a PBS show on Jewish comics in the Catskills - not so great but a lot of familiar faces from the past.

And family members - mothers, fathers, sons, daughters, grandparents, aunts, uncles

and other relatives...

In my county within the last few days a son shot his father in the stomach because the father asked the teenage son to go to bed.
