They'll run out of letters in the Greek alphabet before long, just as

happened a year or so ago with hurricane names...

Thanks, Stuart , for the comprehensive list of old radio shows available.

Our local PBS radio station frequently plays Fibber McGee and Molly, and the Great Gildersleeve.
A few of the radio shows tried to transition to television, but it never quite came off so well.
I guess each listener had his/her own mental image of the characters, and when they didn't match so well, the concept didn't work.

Does anyone remember "Queen For A Day"? A woman with a sad personal story would be chosen, and lavished with a new hairdo, clothes, perhaps a new washing machine, etc. Quite a display...

Of course, baseball games recreated on radio by a knowledgeable announcer (Waite Hoyt, former Yankees ace, in my locale).
Wonderful days.

I remember life before television. Wonderfully descriptive radio shows made you see

everything in your mind.
Newsreels at the movies, before the main feature brought you up to date, especially during WWII.
Boxing matches on the radio broadcast on Friday nights, punch by punch.
I remember the first television set I saw was in the local hardware store.
A small television set on a table, with card table chairs lined up in several rows in front of it.
Then black and white television for many years - Kukla, Fran & Ollie.
JFK's time in office was all in black & white, and then his funeral...

We thought saw it all.

Ryan (OH) not on this list, but was on your last list..

What info are you basing OH Senatorial race on?
Money? We know Timken has access to much money.
Ryan is a pretty hard hitter; I don't know that Timken can stand up to Ryan.
There will also be a race for Governor of OH in 2022.
DeWine vs Whaley? Cranley?
I betting on Whaley as Dem candidate; maybe I just like her better than Cranley.
So two big races in OH in 2022.
How will a double-header affect turnout?

I don't know or care if she's left him, but I promise you that

she will never consent to returning to the White House, either as a guest or resident.
So, add that to the mix, when talk of a trump White House run in 2024 emerges.
Won't happen.

And still the crazy continues on Fundy Television, i.e., Daystar...

I can't believe I have to have such a terrible and ridiculous network within my "upgraded" TV plan.

Husband and wife still on raving against vaccines, etc, as late as two nights ago, then begging for money to produce and air more of this garbage.
Drives me up the wall!!

Pardon my eavesdropping here, but thinking about your situation...

Go easy on yourself.
As I recall, you were widowed without any notice, a very rough twist of fate.
Take credit for what you contribute to us DUers here - much appreciated.
I for one appreciate the classical music choices - that all takes time and thought.
Pace your self, and tell yourself that this is what you, Sprink, need to do operate.

Meantime, thanks for all you do.

I'm sure there are a lot of old timers out here like me who have older flip phones.

I have no desire to upgrade to newer style phones, thank you.
I do realize that I'm missing out on features such as you mention.
Money is not the issue.
Just don't want to be over-burdened with one more thing.

I had to decide to stop going to Sunday Mass, after such joy went I was able to resume

regular attendance in June.

Son (unvaxxed) had Covid the last two weeks; he seems to be recovering physically,, but having a hard time psychologically.
