Also another aspect of irony -It never fails to strike me that haters and baiters of religion frequent the "religion" group.
In a way they're like trolls.
I've never tolerated incivility in my everyday life, and since DU is now part of my everyday life, I've found it easier to just ignore, both literally and figuratively.
Understandable why you would want to take a break.
There are too many unreasonable people on some of these threads.
They feel the need to argue and be generally unpleasant and rude.
Some need to convince others of what they believe or don't believe, not respecting the rights and space of others.
I thank you, Justin, for your contributions to the religion room as well as the interfaith and Catholics and other Orthodox etc. rooms.
Senior citizen here. My doc recommeded the vaccine and I was surprised
when her assistant told me to get it at the pharmacy.
The doc apparently doesn't stock it because of the cost (ca $250), and told me they would have to charge me for administering the vaccine if the doc's assistant gave it.
My CVS is small & doesn't carry it, but sent me to a larger store where it was quickly given with no problem and no aftereffects.
Had chicken pox at 7 yrs (the day after my first communion) and shingles in my late 40's - a mild case. Went on a scheduled vacation within a few days.
Hope all those now suffering find quick relief, and recommend others to get the vaccine.

Just look in the opposite direction and it will be done before you know it.
If he is admitted to a nursing facility or rehab directly from the hospital,
the first 30 days (unless the number has been changed very recently) are paid for through Medicare.
Many for-profit nursing facilities will "kick her out"; a non-profit one-
(usually religious-affiliated) will not kick her out, but will keep the patient.
However, a for-profit facility often does not require a big amount of money upfront, as they often operate on a monthly fee basis.
Many non-profits, especially the better ones, do require a large deposit, or upfront money.
I hope the teacher passed her stories along to her family
as well.
You're right, these stories are treasure troves.
I'm bginning to have a few myself, that I impart to family when we're on long road trips.
I tell them about their grandparents and further back - that which I know and will be lost if I'd recollect to them.
My own begin mostly in the 40's, hearing my Dad come home on a sunday afternoon and telling my Mom and me -"The Japs have just bombed Pearl Harbor."
About school days when we learned to write with ink in an inkwell in the upper right hand corner of our desk.
We were given new nibs for our stick-type pens and dipped it into the inkwell and practiced writing our letters and words.
When finished we wiped the nib clean with a small piece of cloth.
And seeing television for the first time in the local hardware store, where a few folding chairs had been set up in front of the television.
You had to come at a certain time, because there were broadcasts for only a few hours a day at first.
Dumont was one of the early networks. Etc, etc.
Time will tell.
She's pretty new to politics, and has nowhere the money and base that Mrs. Clinton has.
But, should Hillary decide to not run, Sen. Warren could position herself for a VP spot.
President would b quite a leap from a college professor in just a few years.
For myself, saying I like her and her style doesn't mean I believe she's ready for the presidency.
She's accomplished quite a bit in her life and can be satisfied with a job well done.
