No Vested Interest
No Vested Interest's JournalI'm impressed by Bernie's stamina.
He's been doing a lot of traveling, giving speeches, interviews - seemingly day after day, and tending to his Senate duties as well.
That takes a lot of energy.
Hope he paces himself.
The race is still in its early stages.
I'll be voting the Democratic ticket no matter who's at the top
and who's the VP candidate.
Could never vote Republican after what they've done to our nation.
I'm presently undeclared as to a favorite.
All have pluses and minuses.
Re: Did Jesus ever actually attend an organized church?-
It's my understanding Jesus was an observant Jew.
His parents, Mary and Joseph, took Jesus to the temple in Jerusalem for the Feast of Passover, where he was located, after being found missing on the return trip, teaching to the rabbis.
The Last Supper was also an observation of the Passover.
I'm sure there are other passages as well.
Thank you, JD- very apt at this time. nt
Announced on the same day Pope Francis visited a Bolivian prison.
Francis has visited prison in Italy, and perhaps others that I'm not aware of.
Maybe, even subliminally, Pres. Obama or his advisors were influenced by Francis' compassionate action.
At the very least, such a visit presents good optics.
This latest statement of Jeb! Bush indicates that he, like his brother and his father,
is not a thinker of any depth.
For the last 6 -7 years, the American people have grown used to a President who has pondered the various problems besetting our nation and our culture.
This man, Jeb! Bush, does not come close to reflecting that ability.
Jeb! Bush is a shallow thinker.
I'm glad to know that Sec. Kerry speaks his (and the US) mind when negotiating-
whether with Iran or any other country.
Go, John Kerry, Go!
Which of us thought a few years ago that Fidel would still be
this side of the turf in 2015?
Not many, I think.
Either those Venezuelan and Cuban doctors have something going for them, or he has exceptional genes.
Take your pick.
