Thanks. I'm not worried so much about the surgery

procedures, (I will have two separate, as well), the thought of having to put in drops every 4 hrs for 2 months is a little daunting.
However, if everyone else gets through that, I guess I can, too.

Not to worry. We have drones and

a trigger-happy CIA at the ready, if needed.

I understand a string quartet comprised of members of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra

were also to perform.
Ms. Angelou graced this orchestra and audience last fall with a symphonic reading.
Wish I had been there.

These men must have reminded the President

of his own grandfather, who also fought in WWII.

Yes, to some degree. Have cataracts, high BP addresed with meds,

and other issues.

Am scheduling cataract surgery for the fall, more for vision reasons than balance, and for the convenience of having the surgery done before holidays and winter.

Thank goodness, I have not fallen, as I would have a problem getting up- knee replacement surgery 10 yrs ago makes use of knees in that regard problematic, if not impossible.

My answer to any balance issues I have - not serious- is to use a cane when on uneven or wet surfaces. I don't use a cane indoors, and most times out-of-doors, but when going to unknown situations I take one along and then determine if it's necessary. I have a standard cane and a folding one, the latter is kept in the car along with an umbrella.

As I recall, the measure has always been a

"correctly-formed" conscience.
That's the hard part - getting a young human being to adulthood with the knowledge and ability to make the hard choices.
Some of it comes "naturally - "natural law"; most of life's choices are more nuanced.

He doesn't seem to do much hard news.

No opinion pieces of any consequence.

There's something very decent about Shepherd Smith.

I'll always remember his genuine dismay at the conditions he saw in New Orleans immediately after Katrina.
He'll never get anywhere on Fox because of his basic decency.

For a while there were those who demanded that

1. I/we stop contributing to the RC Church;
2. The RC Church sell its museum pieces and give the proceeds to those they considered needed it.

I don't know if they have ceased this meme, as I've put ca 7 or 8 on ignore and have no idea what they're up to now.
