He likes to sleep in his own bed.

While campaigning, he flew back to NYC most evenings so that he could sleep (a few hours) in his own bed.
I imagine he's just gotten used to the White House bed, and now they want to interrupt his sleep again.

If it were any but 45, I'd have sympathy, but he gets none from me.

Callista Gingrich said to be next US Ambassador to the Holy See

Fr. James Martin, S.J. of America Magazine reports on his Facebook site that Callista Gingrich is said to be the administration's choice for US Ambassador to the Holy See.
Mrs. Gingrich is a life-long practicing Catholic. Her husband, Newt Gingrich, converted to Catholicism following their marriage.
It is further said that Newt Gingrich, husband of Callista, has been lobbying for his wife's appointment since January.

Fr. Martin discourages "ad hominem" comments on his Facebook site.

Reminscent of JFK's photos of John-John in the Oval Office, especially the one

of Hadrien peeking out of an open cabinet.

It is said that Jackie Kennedy was not fond of their children being photographed in the White House, but the iconic photo of John-John coming out of the bottom of the President's desk was taken at a time when Jackie was away from the White House and JFK called for his son to be brought down to the Oval Office.

Thanks for responding responsibly to the NBC/WSH poll.

We all need to speak up as informed citizens, doing our part to let the nation know there are still thinking people left in the US.

Milk is more filling than water as a beverage, and (most) children need a certain

amount of fat for good health.

Likely 6-8 oz. of milk per meal is enough for school-age children; it can be taken with cereal in the a.m. Water is fine beyond that.
Milk can also have a calming effect on body and mind; as an older adult I take my night-time pills with ca 2 oz. of 2% milk.
