No Vested Interest
No Vested Interest's JournalI'm there - very fatigued by Trump, and not willing to listen or watch
any more of his appearances on all manner of media.
I can't imagine having that presence in my life for an extended period.
Public school? Charter school? Religious school?
What does your son wish you to do?
Is he willing to take action or have you take action in his name, knowing that there could be unpleasant consequences, perhaps long-term for him, if action is taken?
Are you willing for him to endure long-term consequences if a response is unwelcome?
You have to determine your level of commitment to consequences before determining if, and how to respond.
1. The teacher could be answered or challenged in a letter.
2. The principal could be notified of the teacher's words and conduct in class time. (Did the teacher launch the words knowing she could get away with it - Did she know or believe that the principal would back her up?)
3. The school board could be made aware of the teacher's words and actions.
Good luck. Just be sure your son feels strongly enough about the problem to pursue.
Thank you. nt
I thought there was a shortage of marriageable women in China, due to
the one-child policy in effect for so many years and only recently loosened.
During that time, parents preferred a male child, so girls were frequently aborted or abandoned when born.
Too clever for her own good. nt
Does the outcome of this issue have any standing inasmuch as you describe it
as a "Republican primary " issue?
Or is it just a recommendation for the Georgia Republican platform, etc?
I realize many people cross over to the other party in primaries, and I am not a Georgian, but I can't imagine myself declaring as a Republican to vote on an issue. I would feel dirty, unclean.
So sad. Happened to our beloved dachshund too.
Sorry. I have no good answer.
It didn't end well.
My favorite dog, Polly,
PLease PM me with the name of the best stroke rehab facility referenced above.
Middle-aged daughter had stroke March 4 which has left her with aphasia, as well as useless right arm and hand. Unable to walk at present, but should get at least a portion of that back with rehab.
I find the aphasia more disturbing and frustrating for her. She understands what is spoken to her and responds as best she can, in one-or two-word answers - yes, no, okay, I don't know- but can't reply to open-ended questions, etc.
She is also taking treatment for a kidney disease, so meds have to be finely balanced.
Thanks in advance for your response.
