No Vested Interest
No Vested Interest's JournalMy thoughts would be similar to yours.
I have heard hell described as the denial of the Beatific Vision - that is, inability to be in the presence of the Eternal One.
I personally do not give the concept of hell much thought.
It's enough to get through this life living ethically, morally.
That's my job now, and, as I have no certain knowledge of the character of the afterlife, it's of little benefit to spend much time in conjecture.
My local cable agent was aghast when I asked if Al Jazeera was included
in any of their packages.
I can't even imagine what his reaction would be to The Atheist Channel.
When he was elected POTUS, did you include or excluse his entourage-
Secret Service?
Would that make a difference?
Would tasters have to come first?
Sounds too complicated for me.
How can you be sure you spotted them all in time?
You don't know what you don't know.
(None of us do.)
Did you vote? nt
Take comfort in the knowledge that he passed
in the glow of your love and presence.
May you be well in the days to come.
Every Dem running in the Nov. election
should challenge his/her opponent re the ACA - all aspects of it.
Numbers enrolled, what the Repubs have done or not done to help their constituents be best served by the new law, what has that particular Republican done to assist those without insurance pre-ACA, etc.
Keep the heat on them.
That could work....
I expect they'll try to drag it out for weeks, though.
They've got donors (named Koch, etc.) to satisfy.
We've got to let media - networks, etc. - know that we're not having any of it.
Heck, I'd rather watch the going-nowhere search for flight 370 than Gowdy-led Benghazi hearings.
I have seen it suggested that if the Dems boycott the Benghazi hearings
it will be seen as the one-sided, partisan spectacle that it is.
It will be a clown show at best.
Just look at the photo of Trey Gowdy.
Does he look like a level-headed person?
And when he opens his mouth, he sounds like it's full of grits.
(Sorry, Dem. Southerners - I love you and sympathize with your situation.)
