String beans. I like lima beans, too.
When I was young, family had lime beans frequently; you don't see them on menus much anymore.
I especially liked lima beans and corn - they called it succotash. Mmmm good.
Happy Birthday, kentauros! Enjoy the cookies,
and hope the clothes fit.
Moms don't forget.
Spouse's headstone was ordered through the cemetery.
Cemetery had sample headstones in their office.
They took down the color and type of stone to be used.
We designed the border - a celtic rope - which cemetery reproduced on the order sheet for the monument company.
I have no doubt the cemetery got a cut of the payment, which was okay be me considering timong and circumstances.
I want to order a bench with family name, which will serve as the memorial for all the family. I have a total of six graves, only one used so far.
This cemetery was chosen because there are ancestors there, going back to great-great-grandparents, so it just seemed fitting.
I bet the dog couldn't care less. nt
Support stockings - available for both men & women- help.
They are available in knee length. A good pair is not inexpensive, but worth the expense if you're on your feet frequently.
If handled gently, they can last a long time. If worn under slacks, a slight run won't matter.
The can be purchased in some large grocery stores, large drug stores or a medical supply store.
They help keep blood flowing ip & down the veins and arteries.
Also, slighting bending the leg at the knee from time to time relieves the pressure on knees and leg muscles.
A non-Catholic in-law buried with Catholic funeral in my family.
She raised a large family of children in the Catholic faith - had them attend weekly Mass and Catholic education as far as possible.
Her children arranged the funeral, apparently with no problem.
My parish had four candidates for church membership, to be entered on the vigil
of Easter.
I'm impressed with all the studying, etc. they have to go through.
While we "cradle Catholics" just sailed on through.
Well, not exactly, but you know what I mean.
Re fast food fish - this is the story I've heard-
A McDonald's franchisee in the western part of Cincinnati - traditionally very Catholic- saw his sales of typical McDonald's hamburgers drop precipitously during Lent. He came up with the idea of a fish sandwich to keep his customers coming during the Lenten season.
This would have been many years ago.
When I have more time, I'll look for a source for this story.
