Kaci Hickox is so well-spoken and reasonable

when she speaks out against Christie's pronouncements.
I hope she will be available when he runs for whatever he has in mind as his next office. (That presidential thing is not going to work out for him.)

We don't know that these hangings are the end

of it.
More is possible, on Jordan's own timetable.

East was my parent's exchange;

Later changed to 321.
My phone number for 54 yrs. has been 871****. That used to be Trinity. I can't remember if Hubby and I started with Trinity or 871.

You're correct, of course, and I'll be back next Sunday,

hoping for a more relevant homily.
Actually, I feel a lot of sympathy for pastors, in that so much is expected of them today, and parishioners (like me) are not always conscious of that.

I could have puked when the pastor started his homily

speaking of the upcoming Super Bowl game, and then referring to the battle of commercials within the broadcast.
This is not what I come to church to hear and jars my spiritual reflection during Mass.

He tried to redeem himself by telling us that those things - the football game and the commercials- really don't matter in the big picture. I guess he was trying to get the attention of the men in attendance, especially, as well as youth and others who have been distracted by the recent hype on the media re this sporting contest.

His words were thankfully brief, reminding the congregation that larger matters were our main concern.
But the sour taste remained -too long.
