chocolatpi's JournalDonald Trump is in a life or death struggle to assert his pathological values and views on the US.
The title of this post is an eye catching quote from Ian Hughes.
All credit goes to the author of the Daily Kos diary by Hal Brown. I have bookmarked the article, after reading, to share. The author writes in a style that is a must read from start to finish, imo. Reading the material and links gave me a wonderful two hours plus of my much needed affirmation of my confirmation bias. This is why I call him IT and monster.
Comments follow the article, they include Snidley Wiplash an American who claims to have gotten what he voted for; followed by a take down from PurpleQuill. Know your enemies, The Art of War.

Joining up the dots shows the true depths of Trumps dangerous narcissistic pathology
There has only been one headline worth printing since Donald Trump was elected president. That headline is "Donald Trump suffers from a dangerous incurable narcissistic disorder which makes him incapable of empathy and reason. He is a grave danger to the US and the world."
Instead of stating this disturbing fact, the evidence for which is voluminous, the mainstream media have over the last three years led America down the rabbit holes of normalising him and trying to understand him as you would a psychologically healthy human being. But Donald Trump is not a psychologically healthy human being and reporting on him as if he were, empowers him and disempowers people of reason. Acknowledging his pathology is fundamental to reversing this imbalance.
Although the mainstream media have largely refused to name Trumps disordered mind, a cohort of mental health professionals have been consistently sounding the alarm. During the 2016 presidential election campaign, three psychiatrists wrote to then-President Barack Obama warning that Trumps widely-reported symptoms of mental instability led them to question his fitness for office. Since Trump was sworn in as president, Yale psychiatrist Bandy Lee has been leading a group of mental health professionals in a concerted campaign to raise awareness of the dangers posed by Trumps pathological mental state.

City of Phoenix chief financial officer Denise Olson tells 12 News the city has not been able to fulfill a PPE order for more than three weeks.
Weve had couple situations where the vendor said they could not meet those orders, that theyd been commandeered by the federal government. But then we went and tried to check that, and we dont know what that means, Olson said.
Olson says two of those vendors were Minnesota-based Fastenal and the Los Angeles-based Dunn Edwards.
Dunn Edwards denied knowing anything about that claim.
A spokesperson for Fastenal tells 12 News manufacturers of the masks stopped sending them inventory at the direction of the federal government and therefore the company had to cancel its order to the City of Phoenix.

Billionaire investor Howard Marks just told CNBC on Monday that the world is more screwed up than what the action in the stock market might lead you to believe.
Gary Evans of the Global Macro Monitor blog would agree.
After the Fed effectively fully nationalized the financial markets by bailing out junk bonds on April 9th, turning Wall Street into a Soviet Sausage Factory, almost any type of analysis, which was on its way out anyway, was rendered completely meaningless, he said.

Billionaire says Virgin Atlantic, Virgin Australia desperately need government aid amid coronavirus shutdown.
Millionaire Richard Branson is pleading for government support for his airlines, and has offered up his private island in the Caribbean as collateral on loans.
In an open letter to Virgin Group employees on Monday, Branson said his two airlines, Virgin Atlantic and Virgin Australia VAH, +6.17% , need help to keep operating in the wake of coronavirus-related shutdowns worldwide.
Over the five decades I have been in business, this is the most challenging time we have ever faced.

In addition to being his family home, 74-acre Necker Island, which was heavily damaged by Hurricane Irma in 2017, is a luxury resort that employs 175 people.

President Trump announced Tuesday, at yet another contentious White House briefing, that the U.S. would suspend funding to the World Health Organization, citing the groups role in severely mismanaging and covering up the spread of the coronavirus.
While his supporters backed the move, Microsoft MSFT, -1.00% co-founder Bill Gates clearly didnt, and he let his feelings be known on Twitter TWTR, -3.18% :
Halting funding for the World Health Organization during a world health crisis is as dangerous as it sounds, the billionaire wrote. Their work is slowing the spread of COVID-19 and if that work is stopped no other organization can replace them. The world needs @WHO now more than ever.

This could be a long, hard road that we have ahead of us until we get to either an effective therapy or a vaccine. Its hard for me to see a V-shaped recovery under that scenario.
Thats Neel Kashkari, the head of the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis, painting a rather gloomy picture in a CBS interview on Sunday morning of what lies ahead for the U.S. economy as the country continues to battle the coronavirus pandemic.
Kashkari, while acknowledging the downside of what a prolonged shutdown could mean for the economy, said the U.S., barring some health-care miracle, is looking at an 18-month strategy of rolling shutdowns based on what has happened in other countries.
We could have these waves of flare-ups, controls, flare-ups and controls, until we actually get a therapy or a vaccine, he said. We need to find ways of getting the people who are healthy, who are at lower risk, back to work and then providing the assistance to those who are most at risk, who are going to need to be quarantined or isolated for the foreseeable future.

Coronavirus by ZIP code: New data shows where cases are found across Arizona
High rates of COVID-19 infections include near Indian reservations and in Scottsdale and Tucson.

Arizona health officials for the first time released coronavirus data by ZIP code on Sunday. The data showed hot spots of infections near Indian reservations, especially around Page, along with large numbers of cases in Scottsdale and Tucson.
Yet the state excluded much of the information needed to identify locations of outbreaks in the state.
The state Department of Health Services published its data as a map, showing a number of cases for each ZIP code. ZIP codes with more than 10 cases gave a specific number. Those with fewer gave ranges: "0," "1-5" or "6-10."
