Florida man punches cab driver, screams 'I'm Rick James, b--ch!'

He’s a super freak.

A 6-foot-3, 300-pound Florida man was arrested after he allegedly punched a cab driver, then danced in the street yelling, “I’m Rick James, b--ch!”

The suspect, Paul Kijek, also shouted, “You white motherf--kers,” before he was arrested just 2 miles from his Clearwater, Fla., home over the weekend. A Pinellas County arrest affidavit identified the 50-year-old as a white male.

According to police, witnesses at Back Bar and Lounge stopped Kijek from driving home from that venue “due to his level of intoxication” shortly after 4 a.m. Sunday.

Biden transition provides this statement from Dr. Kevin O’Connor: “President-elect Joe Biden sustained a sprain of his right foot. Initial X-rays are reassuring that there is no obvious fracture and he will be getting an additional CT for more detailed imaging.”

Dr. Kevin O’Connor: “Follow-up CT scan confirmed hairline (small) fractures of President-elect Biden’s lateral and intermediate cuneiform bones, which are in the mid-foot. It is anticipated that he will likely require a walking boot for several weeks.”

Biden hires all-female senior communications team- Jennifer Psaki WH Press Secretary

WILMINGTON, Del. — Jennifer Psaki, a veteran Democratic spokeswoman, will be Joe Biden’s White House press secretary, one of seven women who will fill the upper ranks of his administration’s communications staff. It is the first time that all of the top aides tasked with speaking on behalf of an administration and shaping its message will be female.

Biden’s press team will be led by Kate Bedingfield, a veteran Biden aide who served as his campaign communications director and will hold the same title in his White House.

“Communicating directly and truthfully to the American people is one of the most important duties of a President, and this team will be entrusted with the tremendous responsibility of connecting the American people to the White House,” Biden said in a statement.

“These qualified, experienced communicators bring diverse perspectives to their work and a shared commitment to building this country back better,” he added.

DOL Tips Rule Nears Release in Latest Eleventh-Hour Deregulation

The restaurant industry’s years-long push for eased regulations on paying tipped workers for time spent on side work that doesn’t generate gratuities is closer to reality just as the Trump administration is about to exit.

The U.S. Labor Department has submitted a long-anticipated final rule to the White House Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs in a notice appearing on the agency’s website Thursday. This is typically the final major step before the rule can be released to the public.

If finalized as proposed, the regulation would allow employers to pay tipped employees the lower minimum wage of $2.13 per hour regardless of the amount of time they spent on non-tipped duties, such as rolling silverware or cleaning their work stations. This would withdraw the department’s previous interpretation that workers, such as servers and bartenders, must be paid the full federal hourly minimum of $7.25 when spending at least 20% of their workweek on tasks that don’t yield gratuities from customers, rather than the base pay of $2.13 for tipped occupations.


Completing this rule before President Donald Trump leaves office Jan. 20 would represent a victory for the hospitality industry and management attorneys by shielding them from an increasingly common form of litigation in which workers allege they’re owed back pay for hours working on non-tipped duties when they didn’t earn at least $7.25

In Jewish law, religious freedom in a global pandemic is the freedom from any other relevant obligation if a life would be risked in its fulfillment. In fact, protecting the lives of the living becomes the obligation. What the Supreme Court is protecting is not religious freedom.

Trump's planning on pardoning Michael Flynn

President Trump has told confidants he plans to pardon his former national security adviser Michael Flynn, who pleaded guilty in December 2017 to lying to the FBI about his Russian contacts, two sources with direct knowledge of the discussions tell Axios.
