I read about the Denmark Vesey "slave revolt" many years ago during my 'black studies' in college. 40+ years ago. I'm going to revisit that era and start relating it to the LEO executions and abuse of POC.

Had a little with the election of Barack Obama but after witnessing what he has faced politically and racially from these type of sociopaths and racially from privileged society in general...faith dashed. We'll see what this next election brings us.
not looking for utopia
just racial equality. Is that REALLY too much to expect after many, many generations, many, many politicians, many, many promises and many, many elections. It will never happen of course, no matter who's elected from the Democratic Party. I am under no illusions as to the priorities of this society. I am not fooled by this obvious obfuscation of the god awful truth that polite and not so polite white society does not want their privilege threatened by racial equality. That dollar that is more or less guaranteed to certain privileged segments of our society is threatened and the fear of losing white racial supremacy is the reason white racism stays the powerful attitude and force it is in this society. Too many feel that supremacy is in danger.
Is it any wonder that the subconscious fear(s) of all the segments/groups/sub groups of privileged society came to the fore with the election of Barack Obama. Which is what baffles me. Many, many of the privileged in this society voted for him and now have started fearing him and what he represents about our society. I will not be remiss in pointing to the unprecedented political and social white obstruction he faced in what he wanted to do to help ALL americans. That obstructionist attitude even filtered down to the "progressives and liberals" of this nation. Barack Obama never stood a chance at being the effective POTUS he could have been because he never had the support other Democratic presidents have had from their Party. He has his legacy assured in spite of the white racism faced by him from all sectors and political parties of this country. I know I am correct. Bluedogs is an accepted term of reference, for sure.
What did roof say? "YOU'RE TAKING OVER, YOU HAVE TO GO". Perfect encapsulation of subconscious white fear being pushed by RW media, hate radio and the sites he and thousands of others have visited. Looking for Utopia? No. Racial equality? Yes.

of course not and has one done it over the last 150 years? No. In fact nothing has been done except during the Kennedy-Johnson-MLK years, the 64-65 Civil Rights Acts, since dismantled by SCOTUS at the behest of white society. Don't tell me how I should "reflect" please. If Obama had tried anything that could have even possibly been construed as trying to help one segment of the population with real problems related to white racism, he would be in impeachment proceedings right now. Give it a break. I'm also not talking about Obama, I am talking of the candidate who has my vote, so far.
Also I understand the roots of racism. No class needed thank you. "Overnight"????? You're right, been a whole hell of a lot of overnights, still ain't gone yet. Still hasn't been conquered yet. You're right. Now to me the important question is why? I know the answer, do you?

her second tweet was the god awful truth. The first, the passion of youth driven by anger. That's all. People need to calm down on here. All this fear showing over her intemperate remarks. At least she didn't walk in to a methodist church somewhere, sit down for an hour with white parishioners, pray with them and then kill them.

give it a break will you. Calm down, you're way too emotional about this, stress is a killer you know. Just ask all the AA people who had to experience the shootings this week. Fear can be hell, can't it?

the intemperance, passion of youth. She's angry and like I did eventually, she'll probably grow out of it. The second tweet, I have no problem with, it's truth. Nothing ignorant or racist about it. I agree wholeheartedly with her second tweet.

9 people died because of income inequality last week???? Rich and powerful enjoy the benefit of division I will give you that but just explain how their memes deployed are defeating black people. Black people are attacked and killed by racists, not a dollar bill. Black people are hated and denied equality by racists and their racism in housing(redlining) discrimination, job discrimination that won't stop when Bernie creates all these jobs. Explain your understanding, your concept of white racism, maybe I'm missing something here, but I don't think so. That flag flying over their statehouse is because of income inequality, right? I just don't see the linkage you do. Never have when I've seen photos of castrated, burned black bodies hanging from trees with a crowd having a picnic beneath the bodies. Nothing to do with income inequality that I can deduce.
My grandparents went through a klan night many moons ago and it didn't have a thing to do with the dollar bill. My grandfather was a successful farmer who incurred the wrath of the local klan because he a veteran of the Spanish -American War, saved his money, acquired some acres of land and was not going to bow to white supremacy and jealousy or the racist meme of that time, and now, that he was inferior to the so called superior white race, because he knew he wasn't and so did the wife he brought from Cuba. She was shot that night, not killed, but he and the family that was with him shot back and goddamit they left him alone after that. This bit of life experience/family history didn't have a damn thing to do with a dollar bill. It's still this way, with varying degrees of virulence and white acceptance in EVERY state of this union.
I'm not buying the linkage, ever.
