CONSEQUENCES OF THIS DECISION

You will no longer be able to participate in this discussion thread, and you will not be able to start a new discussion thread in this forum until 2:44 PM. This hidden post has been added to your Transparency page.

A now PPR'd poster was giving back handed acceptance of holding a child responsible as an accomplice in her own statutory rape. I read the other actives posters on that thread and here in meta who are defending the attitude, saying it was sarcastic support of the victim. I have thought it over.

BULLSHIT

To me rapists are the lowest form of life and child rapists are not even deserving of being classified as life.
A 14 year old made a bad decision. To imply that she is an accomplice and must face consequences is beyond words. She is facing consequences of being a victim. It may not show now but in later years this act will surface in her psych, I guarantee it. The adult is the one and only one responsible. It does not matter if he walks in on her having group sex with every boy in the highschool and she begs him "Fuck me now"- IT IS STILL RAPE. The victims actions cannot change that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Legitimate, illegitimate, coerced, forced, drunk and begging for sex does not matter- RAPE is RAPE!!!

Those who will apologize, excuse or in any way condone such action, even by failing to condemn the rape disgust me.

Those who believe a child is in ANY way responsible for her rape are fucking pathetic pieces of shit. If such people have the slightest sign of humanity, they should look deep inside their darkness and see their 14 year old daughter who confesses she had sex with a man three times her age. If there is any sign that your response is "Well you wanted it" consider therapy. I doubt it but maybe you can be salvaged.

To the jurors- #3- you think my reply was too much, fine. I was going over the top but felt we were already there.
#1,2,5,6 who voted hide w/out comment-- consider therapy. You couldn't work up enough energy to explain why you thought getting in the face of a victim blamer was too much.

I am going to take another break now

Pa. kindergartner suspended for bubble gun remark

MOUNT CARMEL, Pa. (AP) — A 5-year-old Pennsylvania girl who told another girl she was going to shoot her with a pink toy gun that blows soapy bubbles has been suspended from kindergarten.
Her family has hired an attorney to fight the punishment, which initially was 10 days but was reduced to two.
Attorney Robin Ficker says Mount Carmel Area School District officials labeled the girl a "terrorist threat" for the bubble gun remark, made Jan. 10 as both girls waited for a school bus.

This question from the comments
How is that we seem to be able to locate 5 year olds who smart talk about bubbles, but we can not find mass murderers who kill people by the bus load ! ?

and does anyone think a ten or two day suspension makes any sense in this case?

No charges over NBC ammo clip display

http://www.cnn.com/2013/01/11/politics/guns-nbc/index.html?hpt=hp_t2
Washington (CNN) -- No employees of NBC will face criminal charges over the display of a high-capacity ammunition magazine on a "Meet the Press" program in violation of local law in Washington, prosecutors told the network on Friday.
The capital city's attorney general, Irvin Nathan, said in a letter to NBC there would be no charges, but added that it was "a very close decision."
Nathan also said "there is no doubt of the gravity of the illegal conduct in this matter, especially in a city and a nation that have been plagued by carnage from gun violence."

Is there a double standard or would charges serve no purpose in this?

Here is an idea for our Bloomie fans

to pass up to their dear leader:

Benevolent billionaires can buy out gunmaker
Article by: William D. Cohan , Bloomberg News Updated: December 31, 2012 - 6:30 PM

Business moguls who favor stricter gun-control laws - among them Bloomberg LP founder and New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, financier George Soros and entertainment honcho David Geffen - are in the unique position of being able to put their money where their mouths are, and with a single bold move can change the raging gun debate in a way that intransigent politicians cannot.

These well-intentioned billionaires (and others) should buy Freedom Group Inc., the world's largest gun manufacturer, from Cerberus Capital Management, which has put it up for sale, and literally liquidate it.

Probably cheaper than buying, er... financing elections around the nation and would have an immediate visible, measurable effect.
