I get why the press is so scared

Last night watching the press get run off from where they had been all day, it struck me how submissive the members of the press have become.

No one spoke up for the right of the free-press to assemble. Law officers told them to move, and with barely a whimper, they all packed up and moved away.

Given the violent attacks by police the press have witnessed, and the fact that the press is a bunch of chickens who would just as soon film the neck-wringing of other press members as stand up for the rights of even one dead person, much less a corralled community, I get why the press, as a whole, is scared silly. The cops have the press right where they want them: Scared silly.

Here is RFK being quoted at link posted

"Robert F. Kennedy Jr. told me that the book he commissioned has a chapter “we were going to leave out, because it’s so controversial, but the evidence is so strong that thimerosal causes autism,” that he’s keeping it in.
Yet in the next breath he said he wasn’t going to publish the book (even though it has a publisher and is going through edits right now) because it is so explosive that he doesn’t want it to prompt a mass panic: “I don’t want parents to stop vaccinating their kids.” (“I’m pro-vaccine,” he insisted several times during the call.)

And guess what? As I said, the medical community has insisted that thimerosal be removed from vaccines, and it was. So your opinion is useless.

Thank you Nutcracker.

Here, on DU, tritsofme

You don't have to support killing and violence. But you do. Shame on you.

It is best to just support peace and not feed the violence. But you don't. No, You just keep on talking about how some people should be slaughtered. What is it that drives positions like that?

A proper position is to not support ANY violence. Why are you opposed to that position? I see these gawd damned rednecks day in and day out that support violence. I don't expect it on DU, but there you are. What kind of person are you to sit at your computer and support violence in a far away land?

You survived an alert, somehow

Again, since you have failed to protect the nuke industry you do nothing but attack the people who care about the damage done to the environment.

The reason i was blocked form E&E was because i refused to ignore Pamw, and that was the only reason. I am glad i was, because it is a waste of time in that forum.

58 recs, baggins. I bet you wish you could get half as many on any thread of yours.

JURY RESULTS

A randomly-selected Jury of DU members completed their review of this alert at Wed Jul 9, 2014, 02:24 PM, and voted 3-4 to LEAVE IT ALONE.

Juror #1 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: I don't see this as a personal attack or off-topic. Bogus alert.
Juror #2 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #3 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: Baggins is full of shit. Hide this.
Juror #4 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: The snark between these 2 was started by RobertEarl and FBaggins has been remarkably polite in answering.
Juror #5 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #6 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: I just love when something like this lands in my lap. =D
Juror #7 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given

Amazing

I am flabbergasted. Telling facts is cause for alert and calling me a troll?

I hope admins take note of the people slandering me and others and refuse them any more jury duty, for they are trying to make DU suck.

Thanks, Gore1Fl.

Well, Jeff

I think one thing is clear: You are in favor of nukes and will do or say anything to protect the industry.

I hope they read the whole thread.

Sky is falling

http://www.truth-out.org/news/item/19547-fukushima-a-global-threat-that-requires-a-global-response#startOfPageId19547

The story of Fukushima should be on the front pages of every newspaper. Instead, it is rarely mentioned. The problems at Fukushima are unprecedented in human experience and involve a high risk of radiation events larger than any that the global community has ever experienced. It is going to take the best engineering minds in the world to solve these problems and to diminish their global impact.

When we researched the realities of Fukushima in preparation for this article, words like apocalyptic, cataclysmic and Earth-threatening came to mind. But, when we say such things, people react as if we were the little red hen screaming "the sky is falling" and the reports are ignored. So, we’re going to present what is known in this article and you can decide whether we are facing a potentially cataclysmic event.

Nothing has happened to me, NuclearDem

Except for getting dosed from Fukushima, and the pacific ocean getting polluted, I'm having a great life, and a good time on DU.

You make it sound like you matter. Nothing could be further from the truth. You are nothing compared to the nuke pollution. The only thing you have done is kicked my threads so more people can read them. I guess you did help?

This one has 32 recs. Thanks.

You make it sound so cool, FB

But the evidence is.........

They can't even get in to where the cores have melted. They have sent robots in and the robots melt.

"Cores are not hot" "fuel rods take five years to cool down", you say. Contradictions from you, again.

You claim this about reactors: "....active reactor uses hundreds of thousands of gallons per minute to cool the core".

Heh. Three reactors were running when the place blew up. So, in the first few hours when they had no water, the fission went out of control. And blew.

Thanks, you just proved that fission was out of control, and that in order to cool the cores down over the next ten days they would have used millions and millions of gallons of water. Water which flowed out of the 3 destroyed core containments and into the Pacific. And has been flowing for 3 years now.

Good gawd man, do you even read what you write?
