The info on The Barbara J. being involved in the Bay of Pigs invasion

is on pp 94 - 8 of Deadly Secrets (hardbound), by Warren Hinckle. There was also a plane used in that op called the Barbara, but that's not in that book. May be in some Octa o.p. Poppy also named a WWII plane he flew the Barbara. (I don't know if that's the one he bailed out of and left his radio man and tail gunner inside of, when he "earned" his medals for valor.)

The info on young W.'s visit with Poppy to Medellin came from Russ Baker's Family of Secrets, p. 135 (paperback). They were there to visit the local office of Zapata Offshore, and Medellin is 150 kilometers inland. That's the only branch office way way landlocked like that. The bush family have a large amount of investments in Eli Lilly Pharmaceuticals, and it takes both dry tonnage and thousands of gallons of pharmaceutical compounds and chemicals to refine cocaine in mass quantities, even without turning it into crack.

Somewhere else, (I don't remember where, sorry), I'd read that the Medellin cartel had actually been founded by Nazis, before WWII. Page 23 of Baker's book discusses the promising young oil scion, Yale Skull & Boneser, and Connecticut nazi (like bush, and Coulter) named William F. Buckley, who was introduced to E. Howard Hunt in 1950, went on to work under him in the CIA's Mexico City station, and lied about his agency employment until 2005. Another source I forget talked about the fact that a big 3rd Reicher, Albert Speer (I think), had discovered the manganese and bauxite in Guyana, pre-WWII -- and planned to set up a colony to mine it, (but never got to before they lost the war,) -- at the site where Jonestown residents later mined those minerals. And post-Viet war refugee Hmong (montagnards) set up a colony there, after "White Nights" and Leo Ryan's assassination. Spielberg in "Raiders..." depicted nazis running around looking for old powerful artifacts before WWII, but they were actually running around looking for strategic minerals and geopolitical strong points and weak ones.

I have to admit I cribbed the barely dried scales from Nich von Hoffman's Fireside Watergate. But he sort of smouched it from Phil Roth's Our Gang, the part where Nixon was in hell running against Satan for top devil. I thought both books were very funny and informative.

I also was just talking about Victor Jara's "Venceremos" to another post-er here, a day or two ago. I guess murder will out. There was a movie recently released starring Emma Watson (Harry Potter) and Michael Nyquist (Dragon Tattoo) called Colonia, and it's a true story about a young German activist couple working with Allende who got caught up in Pinochet's coup, the guy gets sent from Santiago Stadium Detention Center (where Jara was executed) to a remotely located Chilean cult founded by a German Lay preacher named Paul Schafer. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colonia_(film) I saw it in the theater, very harrowing and worth watching. Under Pinochet, Swaggart, Jim and Tammy Bakker, and Reverend Moon filled up that soccer stadium with paying Chilean attendees there to hear the good word. He showed up today, spoke at a shale (fracking) conference,

a bit after noon., at the Convention Center. He snuck in, I was not tipped off by any group that he would be here. I've looked at his campaign site, and have been scanning my e-mails from all orgs to see if any news of him coming to town could be had. It wasn't a rally, it was a convention of energy producers letting him be the keynote speaker. Then he went up to the Mellon's Duquesne Club for a fundraiser.

I only heard about him being in town on the front page, here, after 1 pm. Looked online, and saw that protests had followed him to the Duquesne Club, and hustled down there. Got there at 1:45, and it was all over. But at least I know what that helicopter circling the city this a.m. was about, now.

My dad's old union, Local 66 Operating Engineers, pulled out of sponsorship of the shale conference, in protest of them giving the orange nazi dummy a speaking slot, and the only "union support" he could boast of in media was from a retired plumber B.A. from an Ohio local union. So he had no high profile incursion into the city, and r-u-n-n-d-o-f-f right away. But I guess he gets bragging rights that he campaigned in the heart of blue downtown Pittsburgh. Wish I'd known he was making his appearance, but it was a blink and you miss it hit and run visit.

Of course, there will no doubt more chances to invite him to leave my city in the next month and a half. Like the bad penny, or previous repug prez candidates, I'm sure he'll be back around again.

The tangled story about Stone's "anti-bush" work is similar to the story of Stone associate Matty Lolavar/Fein / Mahtaub Hojjati's other work (setting up an org called "IPS" where the P means Persian, while backing the latin american terror group who assassinated Letelier and Moffitt via car-bomb in DC, while they were working for the IPS, the Institute for Policy Studies.) They did so through US intel, while Poppy was DCI. It's also enthralling how Lolavar Fein Hojjati's hubby was behind the alleged denunciation of Cheney for his imperial Vice Presidency, while current Stone backed bircher v.p. candidate Pence openly says that Cheney is his model for how a V.P. should operate.

Basically, they try to spin a corkscrew like yarn, but there will never be any harm from Stone and his associates to nazis, far-right intel, bush/cheney repugs, international drug kingpins, or latin American nazi juntas. They're just trying to give us the old triple reverse razzle dazzle here.

Also cute how Stone should be in prison for income tax evasion.

I don't have cable, so only see TRMS through on-line sources, or Youtube via Apple TV. This 10.5 min segment was initially posted, cleanly, by a pro-Maddow youtuber. Within a half hour, youtube made it so the straight version dropped off the page of listed offerings on Apple TV, and wasn't available through the search function.

And there were dozens of versions of it added from far right sources, targeting Rachel with "echoes" (she's not Jewish), saying she's suicidal over PePe, calling her unhinged and crazy on channels that featured pro-hitler, pro-bircher Alex Jones, pro-Breitbart vids, etc. This segment threw them into a tizzy and became a rallying cry to them, and they "proved" how "powerful" they were through gaming the Youtube function.

This week, we got dRump's Flint "outreach" screw ups, then his "putting the birther issue behind him / hotel grand opening" screw ups, then increasing coverage of his alt-right nazi connections, then his death threat against Sec. Clinton.

There's also a creep named Jim Geraghty from Natl Review who pushed and published the theory in early March of '08, 2 1/2 months before the anonymous alleged "Clinton supporter" e-mail chains.

Rove always struck me as a great nominee to receive credit for being the actual person identified as "anonymous Clinton supporter", but having to even discuss the lie about the origins coming from the Clinton campaign only lends credence to the orange cannonmouth's false argument.

His whole argument is "Hey, look over there at Clinton. Just because I've spent 6 or 7 years publicly being the face for the fake birther scandal, and I've been all over mass media pushing this lie internationally, that is no reason for you not to blame my opponent for this, because I just said 9 words that put my years-long flogging of this lie behind me permanently. I deserve thanks, accolades and credit for the part I played in this issue, and she's horrible for creating this controversy I demagogued forever about."
