Anyone know if SSI recipients will get a stimulus check?

I'm retired and my only income is my SSI check. Anyone know if we retirees will automatically get a stimulus check?

Today is my birthday

I'm 73 and can't quite believe that I made it this long. My heart is full of love for everyone, especially all you DUers folks out there. I get so much enjoyment and pleasure from reading your posts. Thank-you for sharing the good, the bad, the beautiful, and the ugly.

I meditate everyday. Currently reading a Dalai Lama book on mahamudra. He is amazing. His scholarship and knowledge of texts and commentaries by old guys from long ago amazes me. Big sections are way over my head and far beyond d my little pea brain to comprehend. But at least I know what's ahead for me to learn. My meditation is going well these days. And I see things differently.

My message to everyone is to cultivate equanimity. Don't get seduced by desire for what is pleasant, and don't get disturbed and agitated by what is unpleasant (including Donald Trump). We are much more able to deal with whatever, when we remain calm and centered with whatever appears. Believe me, I have survived an earthquake, 3 hurricanes, a tornado that destroyed my house and both barns, a crash that totaled my car and horse trailer, heart disease, and breast cancer.

We will get thru this. Our parents and grandparents were called to win 2 world wars. We are being asked to sit on the sofa and watch TV or read a book.

Pick up the phone and call a friend. Radiate love and light.

Make your own sanitary wipes

Dip paper towels into bleach water. Squeeze out the excess water. Then keep the wipes moist in an air-tight plastic bag.

I hope today has an outstanding Dem turnout nation-wide

So much so that it gives Donnie Dimwit the willies and heejee-beejees. Put the fear of the lord in him. Shades of the Dem rout of 2018. So if we see him posting some lying tweet and hissie-fit about low Dem turnout, we'll know that he's running scared.

My vote this morning in Dallas TX

I live in an old black neighborhood in Dallas. I'm an old white lady 73 yrs in 2 weeks. My polling place is in an old black church just down the block. I went at 7:30am, but they had power problems with the machines. So I went back at 10:30am. There were 3 pages for POTUS candidates, and Biden was the very last one. He got my vote. I voted for Royce West for senate, because Hegar's web site had not positions about anything. That turned me off on her. I hope West does well, but I really don't think that Texas is ready for a black senator. Good grief, Longview keeps re-electing Louie Gohmert and rejecting Shirley McKellar, a wonderful intelligent black army vet.

The polling place was busy, but never more than 2 or 3 waiting in line at each of 2 touch screens. We insert a paper ballot that prints our choices. Then we insert the paper ballot into a scanning machine. I like having a piece of paper associated with my vote.
