Your favorite off the beaten path snacks (or snack concoctions)

Like everyone else, I could use more calcium and protein, not to mention things that aren't upsetting to the stomach.

My weird but loved snack is - Cottage Cheese (preferably Large Curd) mixed with Soy Sauce. It has Umami, protein and a yummy texture.

What's yours?

George W. Bush made the fast track to TPP a cornerstone of his candidacy

and he endorsed the TPP. Even amidst the "President must be supported" fervor of 9/11, in 2002, he was defeated in Congress.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fast_track_%28trade%29

Republican Presidential candidate George W. Bush made fast track part of his campaign platform in 2000.[7] In May 2001, as president he made a speech about the importance of free trade at the annual Council of the Americas in New York, founded by David Rockefeller and other senior U.S. businessmen in 1965. Subsequently, the Council played a role in the implementation and securing of TPA through Congress.[8]

Here is that spectre raised again, a vampire wearing different clothing.

Are we supposed to like it now that President Obama is spearheading it, when it was rejected under President Bush, too, or does that make us all ...

Republicans
Democrats
Independents

Or just citizens that know it was a bad idea in 2007, and it is a bad idea in 2015.

Question: Fruit reduction - necessary to add sugar?

Say you want to reduce strawberries for example, you have a bunch and don't want them to go bad so you cook them down to pulp. They are tangy, granted, but do you HAVE to add sugar?

Want to know where Hillary stands on the TPP?

Read this interview.

http://www.ndtv.com/india-news/ndtv-exclusive-hillary-clinton-on-fdi-mamata-outsourcing-and-hafiz-saeed-full-transcript-481377

Those are her own words about it. About H1B visas. About all of it.

In fact, her own words about the trade deal are even more damning about the trade deal itself than the things we've heard about it. If you are still for the trade deal after reading that, or have any doubts in your mind what Hillary's stance on the TPP is, well, I don't know what to say to you.

For those that don't want to read the whole thing, here are some interesting bits:

First Hillary quote:

I was talking with some friends here last night and they were referencing about the jobs and opportunities created by the Pepsi, Frito-Lay plants here and how it is not only for the people working in the plant but also the farmers whose incomes are going up because they have guaranteed contracts for their products so there is a lot of progress but we always think that more can be made to reduce barriers, open markets to greater trade and investment. Economic reforms from manufacturing to retail can spark growth, create jobs and lower prices for consumers in both countries. Increasingly our strategic interests are also aligned. India is a regional and increasingly a global power recognized by its economic, diplomatic and military influence and India is taking on more responsibility which is good news.

Second Hillary quote:

I checked the statistics in 2011, 35 per cent of the L1 work visas that the United States issued in the entire world were to Indians. And between 2010 and 2011 we saw an increase in 24 per cent in H1B work visas and more than one hundred thousand Indian students are studying in the Unites States. There are so many links between us and we want to promote even more between the young people of our two countries.

I highly recommend at least reading Hillary's initial comments, although they are presented in a wall of text way, but they are out of her own mouth.

First quote - She praises Pepsi and Frito-Lay in India, and that all of the goods that go into their products are from India. How on earth does that help the US? They make all of it there, with goods there, and then ship export it to us. Does that sound positive for our economy?

Second quote - She wants even MORE H1B work visas which have already decimated tech worker jobs and helped push wages down dramatically. Does that sound positive for our economy?

Read the whole thing. If you aren't disgusted, you have a completely different goal for the US in mind than I do.

Women and their height

Why do women that are over 5'8" lie about their height? I'm 5'4. If I was 5'10" or even 6'0, I would be proud to state it. As it stands I wear the highest heels I can, and walk as tall as possible.

I can look at any number of women that say "I'm 5'7" in bare feet, and they are nowhere near that short.

What is the shame to embrace being tall as a woman? I would think that would be a bonus, not a liability. What is wrong with a woman being tall, and why hide that you are?

Take the resources from a resource rich nation

tariff free. Ship them to a labor rich nation for them to be processed, then ship them right back to the people that handed over the resources, tariff free, while preventing their ability to process said goods themselves.

Does that sound familiar?
