Same idiocracy that Carter and Obama have faced. Oh, that science thing. But the Pope's statement:

The monopolising of lands, deforestation, the appropriation of water, inadequate agro-toxics are some of the evils that tear man from the land of his birth. Climate change, the loss of biodiversity and deforestation are already showing their devastating effects in the great cataclysms we witness.

Shows who has the moral ground, in just two sentences. Reversing this course is a goal of mankind and life itself. We are not going to fly away and escape it, nor should we plan on disposing this planet. It is also a measure of how we treat each other, the way we treat the Earth. In every term in those two sentence, we see the death and or misery of millions living now and in the world to come - not in the Kingdom Come as Apocalyptics use as their excuse to discard living beings, including all flora and fauna. The encyclical is right in all I'm reading here, and I hope this light is not snuffed out by the Koch billionaires.

The Kochs have threatened Obama since 2009 over Keystone. They have fostered willful stupidity in the populace through ubiquitous repetition on all venues. They know they are wrong but continue on their path, as if they are alien to this planet, period. There is no making peace with them, they only accept total surrender of the mind, and that is still not survivable.

People who heart Putin have a presidential ticket for 2016:

Perhaps they should ask themselves what they find so appealing about Putin and his chief admirers in the USA - Palin, Rush, Cruz, Faux, etc.

There is a definite mindset there that many not comprehend they support.

Then think about why they love a conservative, GOP and Libertarian Party hero. Like GAS are all Putinistas, plus Steven Seagal who promotes guns in elementary school.

Then what they have in common with the racists, misogynists, homophobes and the 2nd Amendment Solution crowd and Open Carry Absolutionists.

If it's not too hard...

NYPD could have responded by bringing their sons there and saying they loved them, too. Instead...

They brought shame on their profession by being dishonest and politicizing the support the mayor made for all children. The PD's children are precious too.

Why not bond together over that image of love, and shake hands?

The Koch/GOP/Libertarian gang want to discredit all sides in this NON-controversy. To be human and loving is not radical, it's a normal thing.

That hug for all the citizens of NYC. The NYPD have stepped on the hearts of the fathers and mothers who understand what de Blasio was doing.

Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.

~ Jesus, as attributed in Matthew 5 : 9 (KJV)

And we know what happened to Jesus.

Mahalo to Obama and Holder for environmental justice.

Thanks for the link. And we've got no time for the naysayers:

December 29, 2014

Right back at ya!

I don't quite know what the word Mahalo means, though...

Is it like Aloha?

VIDEO of de Blasio setting the media straight from OP link:

Thanks for posting this.

No, you are correct. All trends lead to this. Meanwhile, lesser mortals are damaging each other for

the sake of their own versions of ecocide and genocide.

Those with means who kept up with the science, have been acting on that since the 1970s. The rest have been consuming their time, the planet's resources and not making changes to survive in a reduced ecology.

They await their rescue or eternal salvation elsewhere and continue consuming. Not all take this approach, some are making drastic changes in their lives and even their bodies to survive with less.

That's what I've been seeing. I came to the same conclusion as you express here a while back.

The coverge of this conflict is eerily reminiscent of old WW2 movie reels in theaters.

Battles far away with uncertain outcomes, trickling in. Not the kind of cheerleading that was in place then, but the same speed.

And people were patient and waited to hear the news on the fireside chats on radio and went to movies to make them feel as the world would eventually be free of war. They were not even immediately informed of the deaths of loved one, no matter how much effort was put in to do that for them.

Especially the truly horrific war that they were in, which few seem to be able to comprehend anymore. The media has since taught Americans to have short attention spans, no goals and to expect immediate results. As if world history is changed in one news cycle.

So I don't quite know what to think when I see these stories. It's all so very disorganized to the modern way of processing information, that it can easily be put out of mind. But it's an ongoing thing.

Still grateful we have Obama and not McCain. We'd be carpetbombing Iran if he were in office. Let's see if the GOP does what they said they would, declare a war in 2016.

Of course, they'll wait to get their marching order from the Koch brothers. There have been signs he is for it, just behind the scenes when the GOP go to pay homage to them at their meetings. Cruz, Perry, Walker, Scott, Boehner, Paul and others have vowed their fealty to these fascists.

But I want these people raping girls and killing anyone who doesn't toe the line on their religion to just go away, simply go away, dammit. But the world doesn't work that way.

Love that vacay pic! Looks like AirForceOne will be there for the holiday. Never thought of that...

And is that a berry smoothie on that desk?

WTG, Obama! Yummy!

Stunning cluelessness. Very narrow definitions. Let's reinvent the wheel, huh?

In a moment of emotional turmoil for officers, victims and the public, they act as if it's a sporting competition.

Was this a game, too?

Remember when conservatives CONDONED threats against law enforcement officers?

Leading to Infowars and Libertarian Adam Kokesh calling for the death of police as a pre-emptive measure, then continued to applaud the murders of these police men?

They complain about de Blasio, Obama, and the media milieu that they claim caused the killing of the two police officers in question.

Did they agree with this?

Or did they agree with this?

to you, napkinz:

How many of them denounced this?

"Now if the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms comes to disarm you and they are bearing arms, resist them with arms. Go for a head shot; they're going to be wearing bulletproof vests." ... "They've got a big target on there, ATF. Don't shoot at that, because they've got a vest on underneath that. Head shots, head shots.... Kill the sons of bitches."

~ G. Gordon Liddy on his radio show, August 26, 1994

They do have my sympathy for those killed in the line of duty and I expect them to support each other. But not in the case of the man sodomized with a broom handle, which is an obvious CRIME, and nothing to do with maintaining the 'thin blue line.'

They crossed the 'blue line' way too often, treating minorities as POWs, and some officers have stampeded across it. So much more to say, of how they are destroying what they've sworn to protect.

Unless, like 'Bloomberg's Army' they are an occupying force at the top, and those who join up not knowing are going to be victims of that. This stuff is not that hard to understand. Not to me, anyway. This pic doesn't help anyone who is self-aware.
