Been obvious for years. A look at youtube bears out that certain segments of the population have

been playing war games for years and now RW propaganda has them hyped up to use it.

The NRA promotes guns all over the place to make the country volatile in ways it never has been before, except during the Civil War. Which they want ot see for profit.

Gun groups insist their rights are above all others to a civil society. That's fine for them as they are usually middle class and can afford an arsenal. For those on their lists of 'moochers' who can't arm themselves, they seethe in hatred.

They are enraged about government giving rights, healthcare, education, jobs or housing to those they consider unworthy, or even trying to protect the air or water we all need.

They are political nihilists by definition, seeking to destroy everything interfering with their Faux utopian vision. They would be among those who tried to kill federal officers here:

Think a second about the body count they could inflict on them now, and how different history would be.

World peace requires the entire world to be onboard. Nothing new about that vision.

Whatever is done for love always occurs beyond good and evil.

~Friedrich Nietzsche

I've always said that war is more about love than hate. Meaning what one loves can induce one to kill others to save what one loves, or to protect it or even create what one loves for the first time, or to maintain a vision.

ISIS has a vision of world peace that will only be fulfilled when all submit to their version of peace or die resisting. Then, like the Peacemaker or B-36, there will be 'peace.'

The mind of the warrior willing to die for his homeland is actually to save all he loves there and all the good things he had in his life there. It remains to us to decide what, if anything, the western nations or the USA have worth saving, or if in order to get along, we will submit to ISIS.

We don't seem to have a vision of ourselves at the present, most of what I see projected from many corners is that we as a nation need to just go away as we can't do anything right. Along with all the nations of Europe. The future will be made by those who believe they have the right ideal, and they will not stop fighting for it.

The Islamic nations, IIRC, have many more young people as a percentage of their population than the West. It has caused an explosion of energy to burst forth. They will, as other groups in the past, seek to get more living space and they will make the world in their image. History shows population growth and the need for resources can destroy a nation within or those they can overcome to save themselves. This is nature at work.

There is always a dark side to anything, IMHO.

What White People Can Do About the Killing of Black Men in America

What White People Can Do About the Killing of Black Men in America

'Can we switch for just one day?' my friend Sean jokingly asked me as we were working out at the gym. 'No, way' I said firmly. You see, Sean is black and I am white and Sean was suggesting that we swap races. In his plea, Sean was none-too-subtly commenting that living life as a white man might be easier than living as a black man. In my unwillingness to switch, I acknowledged the privilege -- and safety -- that comes with being a white person in 21st century America.

There are a lot of events vying to occupy the American mind these days such as Gaza, Iraq, Ukraine, the immigration crisis, hate crimes against Sikhs, Ebola, and Robin Williams' death. But in one way, the ability to switch among these traumas is a white person's 'luxury.' For Sean, and for many black Americans, the recent spate of black male deaths at the hands of police in America is forced to occupy the primary place...*

Black Americans are rightfully outraged, but it will require all Americans to be mobilized before the racism that undergirds these killings will end and the deaths along with it. White Americans like me have to stop channel surfing all the outrageously bad news from around the world and focus on the death that is happening in our own cities to our fellow Americans.*

*Bluntly speaking, some tidal waves of outrage aren't as moving to me as this.
The hyper-vitriolic dialog appears to be an attempt to absolve oneself while not facing what is going on the home front that needs our attention. A raging, malignant, wild elephant in the living room of America is being ignored, one we can do something about that would affect millions.

I asked myself as a young child the question that Sean did and answered myself the same way as Raushenbush did. I saw just how dangerous being black could be and was both deeply afraid and ashamed of the truth and determined to change things around me. But those were actions I was free to take, not a burden forced on me. For those who have been forced it will remain Issue #1, so they are not free to 'move on' to other things. It's a waste of human potential.

What an indictment it is that this was ever given oxygen, this privilege. Blacks are subjected all their lives, 24/7/365+1 on leap years, to much more to keep them being all that they could be:

Instead they have been reduced to this state to prevent them achieving. That prevents many from being able to develop and succeed in life, it's down to a survival level, fight or flight:

This image is beautiful and heartening because its action is direct and pure. This is freedom and the ability to thrive. But it still should not be an issue:

I would say that last one behooves us to put our bodies in the way of harm that other whites would visit on blacks. I have done so in the past when I had the strength and blacks have done the same thing for me. The human spirit hates being trapped more than anything.

Bet he didn't even get to windsurf while he was there:

He's a johnny come lately to this affair and seeking to get a foot in the door:

http://www.democraticunderground.com/10025388387#post17

All this time he's been in the Senate, he's always attached national RTW bills, personhood bills and cutting off the social safety net bills

He gleefully went along with those wanting not just the government shutdown last year and defaulting on the debt to do his masters' bidding for a full shock doctrine put in effect nationally. His argument for default:

Debt Ceiling: 'Chaotic' choices on 100 million payments

Rand Paul says default can be 'framed as a reasonable idea' and Tom Coburn wants to default to face a 'managed catastrophe.'

More of how much he cares about the poor and disenfranchised:

The job is getting done without him, he's just riding the coattails of others as an opportunist. Please note the video at the end to see just how 'evolved' Rand Paul is going to get:
