...The Kremlin has worked hard to build Putin's public image as Russia's virile "national leader" whose authority extends beyond his presidency...

Few people had heard of Vladimir Putin when Russia's then-President Boris Yeltsin appointed him prime minister in 1999. But the stern-faced former KGB officer triggered a love affair with the Russian population — by starting a popular second war in Chechnya later that year...

"If they're in the airport," Putin said, "we'll kill them there ... and excuse me, but if we find them in the toilet, we'll exterminate them in their outhouses."

...Putin has often lost his temper in public. During a 2002 news conference in Brussels, Belgium, the president responded to a question that angered him by inviting a reporter to come to Moscow to be circumcised:

"We have specialists in this question, as well," Putin said. "I'll recommend that he carry out the operation in such a way that nothing will grow back..."

The five 2016 Democratic presidential candidates spoke at the 2015 Iowa Democratic Party Hall of Fame Celebration. I didn't mean to cut of Jim Webb at the end, the stream itself was cut off at that point.

Great pic! I misunderstood, thought there was video. Yes, they are both great.

I'd like them running on the same ticket together! Since there is little daylight in their method or core beliefs.

IIRC, Gore and Clinton didn't agree on everything, either. It would unite our Party.

Even though I still love the idea of Castro on the ticket, too. He's going a great job with HUD. Although the GOP wants HUD to go away.

I hope people will remember the vast difference between the parties when they vote, or even when they talk online. Too much is at stake for egotism.

LIked that Bernie stood up and applauded her several times as she spoke. But then, they are old friends and she helped fund his Senate race. I'm sure they know each other well, much better than net warriors.

And Republicans, who always make up armchair analyses on her actions and defame the character of the woman. The lower, the better, to tantalize LCD listeners.

Just as they did with Obama. Same bunch, similar memes. I suspect they don't believe it, but et more fantastical with the wild accusations to sucker people in. Who doesn't look at a car wreck, don't dogs run in a pack if something cues their interest?

There is a lot of projection that comes from them.
