Fortunately, the ostrich with the head in the sand is a myth. But whistling by the graveyard is a common human characteristic.
While I don't feel the least bit threatened by the Bear, some of their former provinces may. And too bad for us, they're allies.
This is literally the LEAST thing we can do for our allies. We've pretty much left them on their own, and will continue to do so.
Oh, noes! We can't answer the calls of those who signed treaties with us...

Here's the thing about my husband: even in the toughest moments, when it seems like all is lost, Barack Obama never loses sight of the end goal. He never lets himself get distracted by the chatter and the noise, even if it comes from some of his best supporters. He just keeps moving forward.
And in those moments when we're all sweating it, when we're worried that the bill won't pass or the negotiation will fall through, Barack always reminds me that we're playing a long game here. He reminds me that change is slow - it doesn't happen overnight.

In case his online temp agency hasn't noticed, while a POTUS is co-equal to other branches of the federal government, he is actually imbued with more power - HANDS DOWN.
That's dumb. SAVE THE FAVORS. He doesn't need them from the legion of keyboard warriors:

NOT complaining leads to oppressive cultures such as cited. I'm unwilling to sit down and shut up.
And if we don't sit down and shut up as told, what's next? Flogging? Stoning?
Unable to say 'No' to rape, kept barefoot and pregnant and forced marriage? No more education?
No job? No vote?
Not much being offered there but a veiled warning...
