How To Make Homemade Popcorn

No, not a skillet. Work with me, okay?

In a Heavy-bottom pot, heat 1/4" oil, 2 kernels of popcorn and cover. Heat on medium until the 2 kernels pop.

Add popcorn - about 1/3". Cover and shake occasionally until the lid starts to rise.

Turn off heat and enjoy great popcorn every time!

Or just use the microware version. We don't time to waste, we're outraged at Obama! I mean how dare he? How DARE he? Why is he still in the White House?

Reminiscent of Thoreau's idea, which I have considered often:

...I used to see a large box by the railroad, six feet long by three wide, in which the laborers locked up their tools at night; and it suggested to me that every man who was hard pushed might get such a one for a dollar, and, having bored a few auger holes in it, to admit the air at least, get into it when it rained and at night, and hook down the lid, and so have freedom in his love, and in his soul be free.

This did not appear the worst, nor by any means a despicable alternative. You could sit up as late as you pleased, and, whenever you got up, go abroad without any landlord or house-lord dogging you for rent. Many a man is harassed to death to pay the rent of a larger and more luxurious box who would not have frozen to death in such a box as this...

The major problem now is zoning and those who don't want to see these alternatives because they bespeak of poverty. As if the impoverished are of no interest to other human beings who are doing better economically. This planet will not be healed until we stop treating life as a commodity.

If we have no peace, it is because we have forgotten that we belong to each other.

Like asking a question in a church and the howls erupt of 'You're not really saved!'

It does not sway many of us. IMO, Sanders' electability will be part of the debate, like anyone else running will face. But negative campaigns don't work except for GOP, Libertarians, Naderites, etc who profit from screwing with the heads of Democrats.

But look at PBO who was a long shot, however people saw the brilliance of his thinking and were willing to give him a chance.

Or the re-election of Clinton, as people didn't buy the smears that were being sold. But we are long way from that time, twenty years ago!

Since then the media dumbing down of the electorate has mulitplied, and that is of concern, people falling for every media trick, when the media is all about RFing Democrats and pushing the nation to agree with the Koch brothers.

Even if Sanders does not get the nomination (and remember HRC's fabled war chest is mostly IOU's and will be for the general, not the primary, so it's not to blame) it will not be the fault of other candidates running in the primary. Not being able to get your party to accept you is proof you are not electable.

So while I support Bernie, I don't support those who are waiving his flag as part of anti-other Democrat campaign style. That is pure RF.

+2. Can't believe the utter outrage at this after...

Oh, no, let's not talk about that! Let's talk about a BLACK PERSON doing something WRONG!

While a black man is killed every 28 minutes in this country, the nation sleeps...

Just read this until it sinks in folks:

Freddie Gray from Baltimore, who despite committing no crime, was taken into custody and savagely beaten by the police until they severed his spine in three places and collapsed his voice box, only to die in agony seven days later?

He said he would not run as an independent and be a spoiler like Nader. Don't worry, if he wins,

he will get the vote of Democrats.

Those who will NOT vote are voting for a RW GOP POTUS:

If Bernie Sanders Runs For President, It Won’t Be as an Independent: “I will not be a spoiler”

Naturally, “Will you run for president in 2016?” was the first question DFA Executive Director Charles Chamberlain asked Sanders. Though not definitive, his answer was enough to leave these activists hopeful.

“I am giving very serious consideration to it, but before you make a decision of that magnitude… you have to make sure that you can do it well,” Sanders said. “So what we are doing is reaching out to folks all over this country trying to determine whether or not we can put the grassroots organization together that we need.”

Sanders knows he will have to rely on grassroots mobilization to have a fighting chance at being elected, because his campaign will take on every monied interest. “If I run, we’ll be taking on the billionaire class,” he said. “That’s Wall Street, the drug companies, the military industrial complex.”

To the dismay some idealists, Sanders rejected the idea of running for president as an independent. “No matter what I do, I will not be a spoiler,” Sanders said. “I will not play that role in helping to elect some right-wing Republican as President of the United States.”

If he does not win the nomination, he will have taught many in his race and concede with grace. He campaigned against the GOP in 2014, and the alternative to their ruling was clearly by Democrats. He'll support the nominee of the Democratic Party, that I am sure. Obama said essentially, that a vote for Bernie would be like voting for a third term for him.

This primary is finally going to be interesting for all of us. I predict it will make the rightwing media rave and our side will learn a lot, along with the rest of the nation, to get the job done.

I am interested in all Democratic candidates who have shown a serious interest in becoming POTUS and at his point there is only Hillary and Bernie. He has more media coverage than hers, and is more direct. I see where she is coming from... I can grasp where he is coming from better.

I will be glad with both, they each have lessons for Americans to learn to resist aristocracy and inequality. If Sanders holds firm to equality, particularly of half the population of this planet, which would be the true solution to economic issues, I can see HRC supporters getting behind his candidacy if he wins. And HRC herself will. It's really not about the persons who only have a brief time on the world stage, it's about the ideals and lives beyond the one and it's why I'm PROUD to be a DEMOCRAT.

And likewise, if HRC wins, those who care will vote Democratic. We need at least a generation of forward minded people, not those who have fallen for the Bircher line sold by the Koches, to even BEGIN to undo the damage and the horrors that we have seen.

I'm hoping that the real truth teller (not the CT commerical versions of the truth bringing about a Libertarian nightmare) the man in Baltimore who described the reason for the misery and violence in this country, will offer support to Bernie's candidacy, or influence his friends of means, and the fan base of the various cities, to help:

Orioles COO John Angelos offers eye-opening perspective on Baltimore protests

"My greater source of personal concern, outrage and sympathy beyond this particular case is focused neither upon one night’s property damage nor upon the acts, but is focused rather upon the past four-decade period during which an American political elite have shipped middle class and working class jobs away from Baltimore and cities and towns around the U.S. to third-world dictatorships like China and others, plunged tens of millions of good, hard-working Americans into economic devastation, and then followed that action around the nation by diminishing every American’s civil rights protections in order to control an unfairly impoverished population living under an ever-declining standard of living and suffering at the butt end of an ever-more militarized and aggressive surveillance state."

This is the unifying cry of the American vision. As FDR said:

A liberal is a man who uses his legs and his hands at the behest - at the command - of his head. We build a way of life, not for America alone, but for all mankind.

That kind of 'exceptionalism,' I can get behind. Millions who came here since then came because of that vision. It is a 'work in progress.' And the war that has been declared upon the African American population for centuries will end under principled hands by Democrats. JMHO.

Ah, my most trusted friend. You brought the goods. I didn't see a thing. That's precious, LOL!

'Imagined.' 'Personal.' 'Agenda.'

They should try looking in the mirror for an example!

Duh, dismissive, authoritarian and *term that starts with a 'W' that must never be said on DU* man who is *looking down his nose theatrically, yeah, we get that* and refuses to understand. I apologize for the horrible run-on sentence, but it's that kind of day.

As Obama says, 'Bucket!'

The sad part of watching this is like the old adage of kids running with scissors*:

It's all fun and games until someone pokes an eye out.

*More like knives in the back, at least it feels that way to me. Of course, because of my gender, i'll be called 'hysterical' or be accused of an 'Imagined.' 'Personal.' 'Agenda.'

Bucket!

Not sure where the *heat* is coming from, but I misread your intent. It will not happen again.

A DU post led me to this page:

http://thedailybanter.com/2015/04/elizabeth-warren-is-not-telling-the-truth-about-the-trans-pacific-partnership-trade-deal/

The embedded link won't post, it immediately uploads the PDF. To get what I have, read the paragraph which says this:

When Senator Warren calls TPP a “top secret” deal, she’s not telling you the truth. Any member of Congress can see it now, and before Congress votes on it, the final deal will be posted online for 60 days. What we can see now is the USTR summary of the deal, which, granted, isn’t the deal, but it isn’t nothing.

Click on the words 'USTR summary of the deal'in that paragraph at the link.

When you get it, you will find it was created by the US Senate and is entitled:

Bipartisan Congressional Trade Priorities and Accountability Act of 2015.

And it is 113 pages long.

I consider myself a proud liberal and atheist and a progressive, but I don't waste time telling anyone in such terms, so where does that come from?

And I merely referred to a post that I did not make, using a Biblical reference, to tie to yours.

As for sharing through email addresses, it can lead to doxxing. So I don't do that with anyone.

The pdf has red flags, but the intent is protecting worker rights, business and employment, all in the USA. Not for the benefit of any of the other nations.

PBO has spoken against the sex trade and other forms of slavery and elminating child labor. He has addressed that we are competing with nations for whom such things ARE LEGAL. Anything that breaks that cycle benefits human beings, and American workers.

These are all out of the tradition of labor. I am also a 'proud' unionist, worked and organized for unions, women and minority rights and mobilized with others against war, nuclear, corporate rule, racism, sexism, homophobia, ecological destruction, abuse of all groups for almost half a century.women and minority rights for almost half a century.

*I have answered your post giving you my valuable time and showed you respect. Like Obama, I also have a bucket list that I employ. Bye.*
