The U.S. Secret Service is aware of a man with ties to a group called the Christian American Patriots Militia who is the apparent author of a Facebook post that says the antigovernment group has the “authority” to assassinate President Obama.
“We now have authority to shoot Obama, i.e., to kill him,” Everest Wilhelmsen wrote on his Facebook page on Nov. 19 – the same day Larry Klayman and his Reclaim America Coalition held a rally across from the White House to begin a “second American Revolution...”
It’s not immediately clear whether Wilhelmsen’s public statements cross the line from free speech protected by the First Amendment to an actual threat against the president, which is a federal crime...
It continues: “The authority to kill Obama comes from the 2nd Amendment of our Constitution: He is levying war on the United States and aiding and comforting our foreign enemies – the 2nd Amendment gives us the right and duty (authority) to engage an enemy of the United States that does so with the design to reduce us under absolute Despotism. I would be very surprised, if Obama does not leave Washington DC today (Nov. 19th)… never to return, if he is not dead within the month.”
Wilhelmsen is listed as the administrator of the Christian American Patriots Militia. Its Facebook page says it has 1,405 members, who operate as a “closed group.”
“The foundations of our nation are Christian principles built upon the bedrock of Truth, not on the shifting sands of lies,” the group’s Facebook page says. Further, it says the “founding fathers” and the Constitution give modern day Christians the “rights and duty to bear arms against any government having a design to reduce us under absolute Despotism.”
Wilhelmsen has posted other anti-Obama and anti-Muslim comments on Facebook in recent weeks, as well on a Twitter account, where he says he is “fighting illegitimate public authorities and oppression, lifting up the downtrodden and freeing the enslaved.”
His Facebook page says he has “work and education” connections with the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, Calif., and the “Teheran American School,” in Tehran, Iran.
A spokeswoman for the art college said Wilhelmsen is not currently on the faculty or enrolled there.

Take a long look at that website. It's not criminal in Germany to threaten Obama. But this gets the RWNJs here all giddy thinking of a right wing revolution. They are always into a violent one, although they have been doing it at the ballot box, too.
Wilhelmsen lives in one of the highest taxed countries in the world, but calls for Americans to pay no taxes. The USA government he calls illegitimate, and with his intense hatred of all things Muslim and fear he is promoting, I wonder if he supported Bush invading Iraq, but don't have time to look for that.
He's clearly decided to make money on ODS in the USA, if nothing else. He won't do anything to endanger himself. He's untouchable over there with his stochastic terrorism.
And this is a great scam, he'll be holding onto that reward money! There is a chance he's being paid already to do his spiel, by whom, I've no idea. But in Germany, he may have the leisure and funding for this.

They and others see the year 2030 as when they will accomplish this, and they will, without well organized opposition. It is indeed organizing right now, as for many involved trying to save public interests and programs are seeing a backlash against the GOP.
We're at a tipping point. Time is still not on our side. But we have nearly two years to vote those in office nationally who will support our goals. At least this is what people I met with this weekend are gleaning from the many reports with real life Democrats who are resisting on every level.
It just never makes the news. We've had some very heartening victories lately and are not going to give in. The work is from meeting to meeting, district to district, county to state, through the federal level. We follow the bills through legislatures and know exactly what is going on, who is for us and who is against. We nurse along the ones that support our vision, which is New Deal, and we adapt to make it even more inclusive than before.
We resist, following each to see that the bad ones are lost. If we lose, we start again and keep track of our friends and enemies and are on the look out for allies, but we know who they are. In all things, we know that majority and seniority rule in legislatures and we work to keep those with our vision supported.
Too many lives are at stake for us to stay home, and I bow to those able to do more than I can now.
The GOP is proposing to eliminate all those programs and those on it. Follow the logic.
The GOP is the consistent voice of the ultra wealthy. Their goal is the elimination of all but the 1% and their trusted servants. Incredible footage of hermit crab changing shells with anemones!

In this exciting excerpt from the third season of Jonathan Bird's Blue World, Jonathan films a hermit crab changing shells and then also transferring its anemones from one shell to the other. This is extremely rare footage of a seldom-seen behavior!
