The Republic of Texas?

February 25, 2015

Try this out. It's about ten minutes long but powerful:

By Jonathan Shroyer - Jun 13, 2013

History will look at Hillary Clinton as someone who never gave up and continued to succeed, despite being knocked down over and over again. She will be seen as a polarizing trailblazer who finally found her voice - leading to eventual success as First Lady, Senator, and Secretary of State.

Once in positions of power, Hillary is ruthless when it comes to effectively advocating for her positions and destroying the opposition. This is why Republicans have fought (and failed) to stop her political career from climbing to new heights.

Hillary's resilience is unparalleled. She bounces back in the face of defeat because she's smart, articulate, and tough.

Many of Hillary's colleagues have often noted that she is almost always the most knowledgeable person in the room about any given issue. Her knowledge, persistence, and stamina is an unstoppable combination. Her perseverance, despite being attacked daily for the last 30 years, is a testament to her political skill and brilliance.

Former President Bill Clinton, the other half of this political powerhouse, often describes Hillary as the most competent person in his generation. I couldn't agree more. So although she may have been too polarizing to win the Presidency in 2008, we can all be certain that if given the opportunity, she would have been one of the most competent and successful President's in our lifetime. And I hope she is given another chance in 2016.

Hillary Clinton:

"I really don't spend a lot of time worrying about what people think about me... I would be totally paralyzed. How could you get up in the morning if you worried about some poll or what somebody said about you? That's giving up power over your life to somebody else, and I don't intend to do that."

"Every moment wasted looking back keeps us from moving forward. Life is too short, time is too precious, and the stakes are too high to dwell on what might have been."

"I'm not going to mislead anybody. Politics is really hard. And it is harder for women. There's a double standard, and you can't complain about it. You just have to accept it, and be smart enough to navigate it. And you have to have a pretty tough skin. To paraphrase a favorite quote from Eleanor Roosevelt: If a woman wants to be in politics, she has to have the skin of a rhinoceros. Most men who go into politics just think they're great. They believe they can do anything. Most young women, not only in politics but in most areas, are more cautious and more likely to say, 'Could I really do this? Am I good enough?' I was talking to a friend and very successful businessman the other day, and he said, 'The thing that still annoys me more than anything is that I see all these young women who are so much more capable than they allow themselves to believe. And I see so many young men who are so much less capable but who believe they are God's gift to the world.' I would just say to women: Try it! Put your foot in the pond and see if you want to swim."

"Occasionally I'll be sitting somewhere and I'll be listening to someone perhaps not saying the kindest things about me. And I'll look down at my hand and I'll sort of pinch my skin to make sure it still has the requisite thickness I know Eleanor Roosevelt expects me to have."

"When you stumble, keep faith. And when you're knocked down, get right back up, and never listen to anyone who says you can't or shouldn't go on."

It was uploaded by a HRC admirer with his comments and is worth the time as it goes back years into her positions. She's definitely not letting the GOP get away with anything. They are right to fear her being in power. She has a clear vision. I never saw any of this before.

Hillary Clinton Being A Boss

This is an amazing, powerful video showing a Hillary I've never seen. I've changed my mind seeing this. She is the most formidable woman I have ever heard in my life.

No wonder the Hillary Hate machine is in overdrive. They must be terrified. I'm sure many have never seen this video. Please share it.

Hillary Clinton destroys Hobby Lobby decision to cheers, applause

By DUDE KEMBRO - Jun 30, 2014

The most passionate and vigorous defense of women I have ever heard!

LOL! Paul said at the link:

"You know, my name was connected to Edward Snowden," said Paul. "They really wanted to blackball him, to destroy him, so they said: He donated to the Ron Paul campaign!"

Supporting and donating to Paul is not a politically neutral position. Anyone who fell for that bigot or falls for his son, has questionable judgment.

Both of the Bircher Pauls are dividing the nation to sell off to corporations and the super rich. They follow the Koch agenda without fail. Both father and son stink:

All over the road! Technicolor!

Oh, you got pollution! It's dead!

And it's stinking to high heaven!

C'mon, stink!

Did they include the 16th Street Baptist Church in Birmingham, Alabama?

About the 1963 Birmingham Bombing

On Sunday, 15th September, 1963, a white man was seen getting out of a white and turquoise Chevrolet car and placing a box under the steps of the Sixteenth Street Baptist Church. Soon afterwards, at 10.22 a.m., the bomb exploded killing Denise McNair (11), Addie Mae Collins (14), Carole Robertson (14) and Cynthia Wesley (14). The four girls had been attending Sunday school classes at the church. Twenty-three other people were also hurt by the blast.

Civil rights activists blamed George Wallace, the Governor of Alabama, for the killings. Only a week before the bombing he had told the New York Times that to stop integration Alabama needed a "few first-class funerals."

Well, he sure got his wish, didn't he?

A witness identified Robert Chambliss, a member of the Ku Klux Klan, as the man who placed the bomb under the steps of the Sixteenth Street Baptist Church. He was arrested and charged with murder and possessing a box of 122 sticks of dynamite without a permit. On 8th October, 1963, Chambliss was found not guilty of murder and received a hundred-dollar fine and a six-month jail sentence for having the dynamite.

The case was unsolved until Bill Baxley was elected attorney general of Alabama. He requested the original Federal Bureau of Investigation files on the case and discovered that the organization had accumulated a great deal of evidence against Chambliss that had not been used in the original trial.

In November, 1977 Chambliss was tried once again for the Sixteenth Street Baptist Church bombing. Now aged 73, Chambliss was found guilty and sentenced to life imprisonment. Chambliss died in an Alabama prison on 29th October, 1985...

These Christian girls were murdered while at Sunday school in 1963 by the 'christian knights' of the KKK. Will the AFA bring up these murders in their litany of 'anti-Christian hate groups' or are they only concerned about getting their feelings hurt?

Let's hear them talk about all those lynchings and the death of these girls at a CHURCH and then I might listen to their RWNJ squawking. If they want to be taken seriously, they need to talk about serious things.

They can go and defend Christianity in Daesh territory to prove their concern, instead of babbling here where they have a right to believe what they choose.

Not holding my breath on that...

EDIT: BTW, they could ask the SPLC:

Remembering the Birmingham Bombing

By Richard Cohen, SPLC President -09/10/2013

This afternoon, I had the privilege of attending the Congressional Gold Medal Ceremony honoring Addie Mae Collins, Denise McNair, Carole Robertson, and Cynthia Wesley (Cynthia Diane Morris) — the four little girls who were killed in the Birmingham church bombing by Klansmen 50 years ago this month.

The ceremony, coming just two weeks after the nation commemorated the 50th anniversary of the March on Washington and Dr. King's "I Have a Dream" speech, was a poignant reminder that great progress often comes at great cost.

Here at the SPLC, we remember Addie Mae, Denise, Carole, and Cynthia every day because their names are carved in the granite stone of the Civil Rights Memorial in front of our office. And though we take some solace in the fact that we filed a lawsuit that put the Klan group behind the church bombing out of business, we know that much remains to be done.

We honor their memories by serving those in our country who are victims of unfairness, those who are still judged by the color of their skin, rather than the content of their character. Thank you for standing with us and for all that you do to keep Dr. King's dream alive.

Or they might listen to a man who spoke out at that time:

http://www.splcenter.org/get-informed/news/the-day-after-the-church-bombing

Take a look at the SPLC, AFA, and feel some shame, if your consciences are not already seared to the point they cannot feel anything good again. You and the Birchers like Alex Jones that repeatedly attack the SPLC, have some explaining to do. And if you can't see that, you are condemning yourself.

Sorry, sweetums, but google never forgets:

That's Craig on the left. It doesn't look he cared about being interviewed and having his picture taken then. He reminds of someone else, too.

Revenge porn is “just entertainment,” says owner of IsAnybodyDown

The proprietor of one of the sleaziest "revenge porn" websites has gone public in a big way. The 28-year-old Colorado Springs man who created the site IsAnybodyDown, Craig Brittain, has been featured in a report airing on Denver TV station CBS4. Reporter Brian Maass also interviewed two women who were featured on the site against their will, and the station says it has been in contact with a half-dozen Colorado women in the same situation.

IsAnybodyDown posts revealing pictures, mostly of women, without their consent, along with their full names and identifying information like phone numbers and Facebook snapshots. If they want to get off the site, victims are directed to a takedown "service" that costs $250. The site is an even sleazier, and possibly more extortionate, version of Hunter Moore's famous site "IsAnybodyUp." (Moore's site has since gone dark, but he's hardly worse for the wear; he's even working on creating his own TV show.)

In the interview, Brittain said his site should just be considered "entertainment" and not extortion. He was also straightforward about his desire to turn the controversial business of "involuntary porn" into a big moneymaker. As for the Facebook information he solicits and posts, Brittain said he just wants readers to get a more holistic view of "who the women are and what they are about," according to the CBS report.

“We don’t want anyone shamed or hurt. We just want the pictures there for entertainment purposes and business," said Brittain, who said he makes $3,000 per month off the site. "I would say our business goal is to become big and profitable... We’re not out for revenge or being malicious. We just want entertainment, we want the money, we’re after making the buck..."

This sooo reminds of:

Mr. George Tierney Jr. of Greenville, South Carolina

See, Mr. George Tierney, Jr. of Greenville South Carolina had some very, very bad things to say about about Sandra Fluke. But rather than saying them on U.N.C.L.E. Channel "D", he said them to her on this thing called the "Twitter" that all the kids are into these days.

And then the Bad Thing happened.

Tbogg picks up the story here (and, I trust, in the spirit of Christian brotherhood, he will refrain from hiring a lawyer to a] take all my munnies away from me, and b] force me to remove from Teh Google all the stuff I am about to copy from his public statements. So, y'know, don't tort me, bro!):

Misunderstanding how the Twitter works, George Tierney of Greenville South Carolina seemed to think he was using his “inside voice” when speaking (twatting) to Ms. Fluke on Twitter only to find out, in a very round-about way, that she elected to retweet to her 36,000 followers what George Tierney of Greenville South Carolina had to say to her and she only did this because she is obviously racist against douchebags who like to shout stuff at ladies on the internet because, as we like to say: virtual manhood is better than no manhood at all.

Anyway, that is where I came in when I screen-capped the whole exchange and made a post out of it, which brings us to last week when George Tierney of Greenville South Carolina decided to google himself on the internet and OH HOLY SHIT! he is now kind of semi-famous for Doing Internet Swears At Ladies and now that all that money he spent on eHarmony is just fucking wasted because ladies will not want to go on a date with him ever ever...

Living in luxury in Russia, at last report... Who says crime doesn't pay?

Ousted Ukraine Officials Enjoy Life of Luxury in Moscow

One year ago, when Ukraine's beleaguered fourth President Viktor Yanukovych fled Kiev, he had limited options in terms of where he could seek refuge.

His exit from the capital on Feb. 21 was preceded by three dark days in which 77 protesters and 18 police officers died in street clashes in circumstances that are still not entirely clear, many of them shot by snipers. The deaths were the tragic climax of mass-scale street protests sparked three months earlier over Yanukovych's decision to postpone the signing of an Association Agreement with the European Union...

All three men, together with another trio of disgraced former officials, are now included on the EU sanctions list because they are wanted in Ukraine in connection with the embezzlement of state funds and their illegal transfer outside Ukraine. They are also all reportedly now living in Moscow...

In Moscow, Yanukovych moved to Barvikha, one of the most expensive neighborhoods in Moscow's suburbs, the RBC news website reported. Novo-Ogaryovo, one of Putin's official residences, is nearby...
