They may not have noticed, but they also turned their backs on the 2 officers who died.

The mayor's eulogy doesn't disrespect the police, he is trying to bring all sides together, like a leader should. The fact there are 'sides' being created by Lynch is a problem.

Public order comes from mutual respect. That is the authority people pay the police to implement. If Lynch really cared about their fallen, he would not have politicized the deaths and encourage disrespect for public order which will cost the lives of officers.

He is playing to the Infowarriors and Clive Bundies of this nation just as surely as Adam Kokesh and others did when the supported the killing of 2 police officers in Nevada.

Where was he when this happened?

People with their weapons aimed at law enforcement. Something the NYPD would kill people for. Where was Lynch on this?

Remember when conservatives CONDONED threats against law enforcement officers?

Yes, the shooter was black this time. Is it okay to kill or threaten LEOs is one is white, or destroy public order?

What does Lynch have to say about G.Gordon Liddy?

"Now if the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms comes to disarm you and they are bearing arms, resist them with arms. Go for a head shot; they're going to be wearing bulletproof vests." ... "They've got a big target on there, ATF. Don't shoot at that, because they've got a vest on underneath that. Head shots, head shots.... Kill the sons of bitches."
~ G. Gordon Liddy on his radio show, August 26, 1994

I contend that Lynch and his tribalist rantings are more of a danger to public order than the shooters. It is only the 'us versus them' mindset that allows this to continue.

There was a thread here that showed 7 million voted, but their votes weren't counted.

I know you aren't talking about them, though. And they didn't even get notification that there was something wrong with their vote to protest, but went home from the polls thinking they had done their duty.

Now a for the factions that call for letting the GOP win to see how much suffering people will undergo and then embrace their fabled revolution, I do agree as the revolution is not going to come from the left.

It is already coming from the right and they are winning. Over all I agree with the blunt feeling of bitterness, but really, the people you speak of aren't liberals anymore. They are now libertarians and they have offered the articles from them to show it was a great idea.

Most of us who know more about the right and the LP, didn't swallow that swill and never will. If you are speaking of those who knew their votes were counted - and don't neglect that 7 million - who were mainly minority and in Democratic districts - this past election would have been won despite the LP encouraging them to not vote. They didn't fall for that swill either.

That doesn't count the millions who knew from in your face tactics they were being disenfranchised, and some of these were people of note, I might add, and could do nothing in the face of a twenty year and more plan to make this a one party nation, the Koch GOP LP that took over state elections. Add to that the economic stress of many, unable to jump through hoops and get around... it's not all their fault.

Now as the proud who called on people to not vote - they have my everlasting disdain. They have blood on their hands. I have seen this blood from the budget cutting, no tax, privatization maniacs at close range. Their pride killed. Period.

At this point, with all the media diversion, Donald Segretti tactics that we answer here everyday, misinformation, lack of knowledge of how the government is legally made to operate, the shit streams of CT and FUD, I see why you would feel that way.

And it's an opinion, I've seen some really hilarious ones at DU that don't deserve a reply. FWIW, and I don't know you or your posting history. That's what my opinion is.

Just sayin'

Plus a Million. An embodiment of loving all life. Yes, we should enjoy him while we can.

And hoping the Girl Scouts make a big comeback after all the RWNJs lied about them and intimidated them. It broke my heart to see their faces nervous about selling cookies. Anyone who hurts children will have hell to pay, some time or other.

Yes, my rant here: An example of the tyranny that is being sold us under the label of liberty.

Rand Paul is forgetful

Here are comments of what we are seeing IRL created by Koch funded ALEC laws and the media pushing the Tea Party and Libertarian view of the Second Amendment:

Hi, I'm wearing a firearm and deciding FOR YOU what constitutes "unamerican activities" while speaking into a microphone. For other examples of para-military people gathering en masse strapped with firearms while their leaders speak into microphones while deciding what constitutes patriotism, google "Gestapo rallies."

Anyone who says this man doesn't condone and advocate violence must think people are stupid. This militia man clearly stated that they would use violence, and who the hell walks around with ASSAULT WEAPONS if they don't intend to incite violence? People of Kentucky you're crazy if you vote for this RACIST SEDITIOUS IDIOT.

Is he really comparing his movement to the civil war? He does realize the "rebels" lost, right? The feds have put seditious, treasonous and fearmongering idiots down before.

Minorities shouldn't be able to force their agenda by physical violence. If there aren't enough like-minded to influence an election, they have to live with it, just like many regretably did during Bush's 8 years. These tea party people are a minority and if you talk to them personally, they don't have facts to back up their racist, delusional beliefs straight from the worst News channel.

How can Rand Paul not have noticed the weapons? Did he listen to the veiled threats by the speaker? 'a costly civil war that is imminent and sure to be forced upon us' doesn't sound like peacefulness.

Do we want a banana republic of rule by the gun, with private armies working for the plutocrats to enforce their property rights, religion and telling us where we can live, how we have to work and manage our sex lives, and tell us what we can do or say under their gunmen watching over us?

While everyone is busy talking about surveillance, and the spin being pushed by this same group, are we protected from losing our right to vote, how to manage our reproductive and sex lives, and giving all resources to those funding this?

I smell something rotten, and it's a lot more personal than phone calls or metadata. Would the mentality that would strip all these other rights from us, very private ones, stop at going after us who don't agree with them?

The 10th Amendment folks want us to live in 50 fiefdoms with human rights subject to the whims of plutocrats. In essence, they want to take away all the rights of those in those states who are not of their kind.

Paul Ryan wants to repeal the 14th Amendment with its Birthright Citizenship, Equal Protection Under the Law and Due Process. Yes, all of those were passed after the Civil War.

Tthat some are related to the Constitution and the 4th Amendment, did not protect women, minorities of any kind, or those who did not own property or have wealth, which are prerequisites for the Libertarian's Holy Grail of citizenship and political participation. They don't believe others deserve a vote.

The rights we hold dear, of labor, women, voting and others are never addressed by these zealots, except to call them as unConstitutional and calling us traitors. And increasingly, to destroy the government that is in place from that same Constitution.

Pardon me, it was Richard Mack of AZ, not Connie Mack of FL. Here's the OP:

Far-Right Anti-Government Group Plans Political Takeover Of Navajo County, Arizona

Source: Right Wing Watch

Richard Mack, a former Arizona sheriff and popular “Patriot” movement speaker, gave a speech in Pueblo, Colorado, in which he announced that he was launching a new bid for public office.

Mack said that he would be moving to Navajo County, Arizona, to run as the county sheriff in 2016 and told the members of the Tea Party group in his audience, “I need some backup and I wouldn’t mind if you went there, too.”

He wasn’t joking. In fact, Mack is the most prominent recruit of a group that is seeking to stage a political takeover of the sprawling rural county as an experiment in creating a local government that will ignore and “nullify” federal laws — such as federal lands restrictions and gun regulations — that its leaders believe to be unconstitutional.

Mack explained the plan in a speech to this weekend’s “I Won’t Comply” demonstration in Olympia, Washington, which gathered anti-government activists from around the country to protest a new state law requiring background checks on most gun purchases.

to big dog:

Yes, he came to Olympia, state capitol of WA. He came to WA to protest a law the citizens passed, the sane ones, that is. The ones who would take us back to the days of Reagan and the Brady Bill, but a milder version. And these laws are made from state to state.

The one the 2nd Amendment Solution radicals wanted didn't pass although WA has plenty of RWNJs and some of those have killed people. WA is pushing back on them as shown in this revealing thread at DU with two videos.

to DonViejo:

http://sync.democraticunderground.com/10025976802

WA state actually has a strong state constitution protecting civil rights including gun rights for the most part and its own legal militia. It is not anti-gun by any means, except to the Absolutionists.

Richard Mack sounds like a member of the Bundesreich. And he really does get around, doesn't he?

Connie comes off much better than Richard, and quite liberal, so my apologies to him:
