To prevent racist, christian nationalist murders of innocent Arabs, Muslims and anyone the ignoratti see as them, as they can't or don't care about who was really up to no good on 9/11.
I remember not only the bullying and the attacks, but the outright murders of so-called Muslim terrorists. I don't want to see that happen again.
I don't see why, even if this is alleged to be the most liberating and game changing news release in history, that a pogrom, not of Jews but Muslims, would fail to take place in this country as the propagandists found a new scapegoat to get ratings. Let's not kid ourselves and think information will be used benignly or to enlighten and bring out the best in people.
The media has to power to incite a lynch mob, and has used it repeatedly. Many of us were never called out for anything more than our liberal minds,. The racism promoted, the vilification, denigration and disenfranchisement of millions of people in non-white ethnic groups is a real concern.
It would be naive to not take this into account and spinning a broad smear, or inventing more delicious fiction, as the media will do to Obama for not releasing this, doesn't make it any more true than other smears. Obama is responsible for the lives of millions as CinC. Not just the 'guilty' would be affected, but many innocents. One must think big picture.
IMHO, there is something to this. I am biased by my intense distrust for the Shrub and his running buddies, as I know their world view and PNAC. But that vision has failed to materialize as Obama resisted it.
As much as I would love to feel the vindication of my suspicions of what I consider to be vile cabal of repukes and their international allies, I am not willing to have the blood of American Muslims and people of color on my hands to justify my angst.
I believe American Muslims would not want this put out on hate radio 24/7 and on Faux, etc. That doesn't mean they want to protect the Saudis or approved of 9/11. Far from it. The luxury of those of us who would not affected by a repeat of the hate-filled atmosphere from those days in the BushCo era, is not something they can count upon. I'm thinking of them.
IDK when or how this can be released to the public. Just because DUers most assuredly would never bully or shoot Muslims after the WTC events, doesn't mean this information would not be used by shameless politic ans in the private and public sectors.
PBO and others got un redacted copies long, long ago. No doubt it effected his policy. Note some of the players given so much homage in the BushCo era are growling about the change. The reason is a different president at the helm. They know if they want to make mischief, they're on their own.
And by private, I mean politic ans such as Palin, Hannity, O'Reilly, Rush, Beck and the rest of the fascist media. They would love to have fresh red meat to throw to their Duck Dynasty masses.
By public, we know about McCain and the rest of the baggers. They'd love something to get their voting block voting against Democrats in 2014 for not releasing this now. We know that they would, but we may have to take the licks to save the lives of fellow citizens.
The hyping of this by media may not be timely for any purpose to do good, but to deflect from rightwing failures to address our core concerns. They hope that recycling this seminal event in this century can be used to once inflame the media both conspiracy and mainstream, against Obama, the Democratic Party and minorities.

The most violent of these attacks took place on Tuesday in New York City, when 21-year-old film student Michael Enright allegedly attacked a cab driver. Police said that Enright cursed out the cabby after asking him if he was Muslim and then slashed his throat and stabbed him in several places when he answered in the affirmative. Enright was charged with hate crimes on Wednesday.
In California also on Tuesday, Imam Abdullah Salem arrived at the Madera Islamic Center to find two menacing signs, one of which read, “Wake up America, the enemy is here.” It was the latest in a recent string of attacks on the center, including a brick thrown at the building on Sunday and a sign posted the prior week that read, “No temple for the God of terrorism at Ground Zero...”

We've all known about the redacted pages for a decade now. And we can hardly fail to be interested in an act that was used to transform our nation into something worse than it ever was since the Civil War, and bankrupted us and is hurting generations.
So why is this being pushed in the media now, along with calls for more sanctions on Iran? Some for the 'right' and some for the 'left'? Not buying any criticism if it's not released. I'd like to see some of it released, but not as much as I'd like to protect innocent Muslims and POC here.
That's the meaning of 'Forward.' I wish that history was written much differently. We are still in danger from the same people that profited by the BushCo wars of aggression for profit. We can't forget the present.

Things to think about all year.
The 'subjects of the state' charge is untrue. They are 'subjects' of their neighbors, period.
If it had been ornamentals arranged that way, I suspect the neighbors would have objected to that too. Because they are conformists and insist everyone agree with them.
I hate how individuals in this country want their outdoor environment to resemble a video game, with poodled trees and nothing but lawns. Thiis particularly galling in the northwest, with its beautiful native plant species.
People clear cut and buy crap from the nursery that's not native. This is an nationwide problem that is part of our country getting everything from fewer and fewer vendors of plants.
I'm not against a well-kept lawn, to have a space friendly to bare feet. But this trend of making everything the same makes me wanna scream:
LEAVE THE PLANTS ALONE!

Listening to this has become an anuual ritual for me in the evenings of the Christmas season. Despite the meaning of the lament, it comforts me and helps me accept things. It keeps me in a quiet mood, reflecting upon what is truly important.
I had three outstanding gifts given to me today. A DUer who moved to WA state called me and wished me happy holidays. We exchanged news and good wishes for each other. Then my apartment manager came up and gave me my packages, a birthday card and some Christmas candy. And the sun came out this morning and it has been shining for the entire day.

Creating the Idiocracy pays damn well for all of the actors of Duck Dynasty and the owners of A&E:
Humans learn by observing others. It is our greatest strength and our greatest weakness. This show is part of the ruling class or wannabe ruling class exploiting many of the themes that the unwashed masses feels gives their subservient position meaning and power.
There is a primal need being fed, that of getting back to or staying close to nature, and to life. But the loads of troglodyte swill being dished out isn't necessary to tell that story. But they claim ownership of it and nature.
A powerful political message is being sent, of us against them, to exploit another one of mankind's greatest needs, to be part of a group. Americans are constantly seeking a new identity. It is basic survival and how we achieve good or evil things working together. It is the most emotionally satisfying and a necessity to find the courage to go through the day for some. Others, not so much.
These actors are knowingly training a generation to become something they do not believe in or want themselves. Their fans want comfort from a world they think does not respect them, and to be protected by powerful figures. The world isn't doing anything to them, really, but it is going forward.
When the Duck family gets as much money off this venture as they can from the hypnotized, they'll cut their hair and beards and go back to being the entitled yuppies they always were and intend to be. They will laugh at those who supported and attacked them.
It's a game like wealth is to Romney. They win and brag to each other like the picture of Reagan laughing to the meme, "We told them the wealth would 'trickle down,' LOL." They'll no longer have to be involved with their gullible fan base while living the high life, but may choose to keep patting them on the head if it keeps the money coming.
The world of illusion is not easily given up, people will kill anyone who tries to bring them out of the spell of illusion. Because that reality can become so powerful that they believe they won't be 'alive' to literally outside of it, like a fish in the ocean. The realization of being conned brings shame and a feeling of being lost. So the ego won't allow them to leave it.
It's like the monkey pot trap. A piece of fruit is put at the bottom of a clay vessel with a narrow neck. It's wide enough to add the treat, and the monkey reaches in to get it. As it is held in a fist, the monkey feels very clever, but when it tries to get its hand out with the fruit, it cannot, as its hand was searching, its fingers were straight. But it won't let loose of its 'prize' even at the cost of its freedom or its life, realizing it's been tricked and escaping. Eventually a human shows up and takes the foolish, greedy monkey for whatever use the person wants, be it dinner or for sale to someone for money.
I've seen crab bait offered on the Gulf Coast. A person will spread a length of string between two pieces of wood, which they push into the sand. On the string they tie some bait, chicken legs. The surf comes up and offers the crabs in the water some chicken meat. They grab on and won't let go even when the surf rolls out and they dangle from the chicken legs along the string above the sand. They refuse to give up their 'prize.'
The person who set up the trap then knocks them off the chicken legs into a bucket and the process repeats until the person takes a bucket full of greedy crabs and the scarcely eaten chicken legs home for dinner. Nice return on their investment, the human thought the process of deception out, but the dumb crabs never do.
That's what most of media is about and it's the purpose of Duck Dynasty. The word is defined as: a succession of people from the same family who play a prominent role in business, politics, or another field. Yes, playing a role.
In this case, I'll go with it just as it's pronounced, 'Die Nasty.' The fans died to logic and reason years ago. We can't even tell the difference here, either.
And so it goes.

Caleb said his project has a message.
“Don’t take for granted what you have because there are some people out there who are struggling. … We have beds and toys, and they don’t even have a place to sleep,” he said. “I think we need to think about those people more.”
And then take action, he added, noting that’s what Christmas is about for him: helping others.
