Hope that you and the whole family have a great holiday and you and your lovely wife are in the best of health through the next year. And you are the younger brother, aren't you?
And isn't it a compliment that they haven't found anyone to replace you in your position with your linguistic talents... So you'll have to live forever!

...The HERO Corps is an acronym for the Human Exploitation Rescue Operative Corps. It is a pilot program that is training wounded veterans to track down online child sexual predators and pornographers.
Justin is one of 17 wounded veterans from Special Operations currently training at Oak Ridge National Laboratory in Tennessee. He’s learning computer forensic analysis and digital evidence collection to identify and rescue child victims of sexual abuse and online sexual exploitation.
“It’s just like being back in country. I mean, you’re using the same mindset to track one terrorist and moving to track a different terrorist because that’s how I view a pedophile or child pornographers,” Gaertner said.
The HERO Corps training is as rigorous as Gaertner’s Marine boot camp which required physical endurance, but this training requires mental toughness he said...

This is not new, but was only reported a few weeks ago in my local paper. This is the source they must have used.
An unusual path, that brings up conflicting emotions when one thinks of all of the players involved and the government's role in both war and peace.
Justin and others like him are working for the Departtment of Homeland Security, which has a bad reputation with some.
Those wounded from a foreign war helping those wounded here and around the world. They intend to build the peace from the ground up, it appears.
What they have seen and are seeing now, is just the tip of the iceberg of humanity's ills.

Hudson asked the judge for lenience.
"The fact is, this could have easily been a mass homicide," said Bradshaw. With that, he sentenced her to 130 months in prison, near the top of the sentencing range.
Afterwards, we asked Arthur Kamm's son, Tom, if he believed Hudson's apology was sincere. "No, I don't think that," he said.
Neither did his cousin Keith Parsons, the son of the woman she killed. "I think she's sorry she's going to jail for almost 11 years," said Parsons...

Happened in a blatant case in CO, as well. Even refused to charge the rich guy for a hit and run
which ruined a young neurosurgeon's career and health. The damage he sustained was horrific, disabling him and causing a lifetime of pain. He wanted the man charged, but the prosecutor cited the driver's career and that if he got a felony record he might lose his job and it would interfere with his ability to pay. They are taught their enemy is communism, socialism, ACORN, environmentalists, Planned Parenthood, the Democratic Party and most especially Obama. But Libertarians espousing economics that lead to fascism get a free pass.
Because it's a long-term plan and they have funded it all these years. Now they are in the home stretch, stealing the Commons, public education, and wanting to end the social safety net and all laws and regulations on workers, minorities, women, LGBTs and the planet.
A major part of fascism is all kinds of fundamentalism and religious zeal.We can no longer afford this.

Celebrating the 50th Anniversary of To Kill A Mockingbird on Film

President Obama hosted a film screening of To Kill a Mockingbird in the Family Theater at The White House to commemorate its 50th anniversary with guests including local students from Washington-Lee High School, Mary Badham Wilt, the actress who played Scout, and Veronique Peck, widow of Gregory Peck who played Atticus Finch. The President also acknowledged the American Film Institute for their commitment to the fine arts and NBC Universal and USA Network for their efforts to commemorate this important film.
Very appropriate to have this anniversary with White House support . This transformation in America is what we have needed for so long. More, we want more.
