And from one month ago today:

Obama Full statement 9/30/2013

Obama:

"If... Congress does not fulfill its responsibility to pass a budget today, much of the U.S. government will be forced to Obama reminds Americans that the United States Government is the nation's largest employer Obama: Social Security, Medicare, mail and gov't operations on nat'l security will continue if government shutdowns

"You can't shut it down," Obama said of the health care law.

"Does anybody truly believe that we won't have this fight again in a couple more months?" Obama asked.

Obama called keeping the government open a "basic responsibility" and said preventing a shutdown wouldn't be seen as a point of weakness.

"Keeping the government open is not a concession to me," Obama said.

Obamacare Polls Show Why Ted Cruz Is Wrong

In his marathon speech last week, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) repeatedly invoked the will of "the American people" in an effort to derail the Affordable Care Act. If only his colleagues would "listen to the American people," Cruz said, "the vote would be 100 to 0 to defund Obamacare."

Five recent surveys flatly contradict that assertion. The surveys show that the percentage of Americans who want to defund Obamacare -- ranging from 37 to 39 percent -- falls well short of a majority, while far more Americans -- between 42 and 56 percent -- oppose eliminating its funding.

And none of these questions even raised the possibility of a government shutdown or default on the national debt.

Too bad the teahadists didn't take Brand's advice and not vote. From the article:

Even so, when Brand says voting makes no difference, Paxman responds, “It does make a difference,” without offering any evidence that it does. And he’s already agreed with Brand that in many important ways, voting hasn’t made a difference.

Paxman didn't need to offer any evidence for what one party did here in the USA. There is plenty of evidence one who has been affected can offer. One party voted all of this into law and it has made a horrible difference:

I'll vote against the only party that did this to women, in 2014. Boardman can sit it out, because this didn't affect him. It's not one of his topics, even though it affects half of the people in the USA:

Interesting this grevious assault on women's rights didn't kindle any fire. That's his right, he can devote his outrage elsewhere.

Some of us don't enjoy that luxury, though.

JMHO.
