Trump: "It's OK to talk about my personal life, too"

CNN
By Theodore Schleifer
Updated: December 30, 2015

Washington (CNN) -- If Democratic or Republican opponents want to drag some of the sordid details from Donald Trump's personal life onto the campaign trail, that's fine by him.

The GOP presidential front-runner said Tuesday that it would be fair for the media or rivals to investigate his background, similar to how he's bringing up Bill Clinton's personal life in attacks against his wife, Hillary Clinton.

"Yes, they would be,' he said in response to a question about his personal "indiscretions" while speaking to reporters aboard his personal plane before a rally in Iowa.

Trump didn't go into specifics, and reporters didn't follow up on the question.
But his personal life at times has been tabloid fodder, most famously in the early 1990s when his marriage to his first wife, Ivana Trump, fell apart after he had an extramarital affair with model and actress Marla Maples.
Trump eventually married Maples in 1993, and the two divorced six years later.
Trump married his current wife, Melania, in 2005.

Why did Donald Trump cross the road?

Because his wig flew off?

To kick a BlackLivesMatter protester on the other side?

To kick an illegal immigrant on the other side?

To kick a liberal on the other side?

To kick a Democrat on the other side?

To make fun of a disabled reporter on the other side?

To fire an apprentice on the other side?

To kiss Vladimir Putin's ass on the other side?

What's your favorite line from Life of Brian?

"Monty Python's Life of Brain" (1979) also known as "Life of Brian" is a satirical film by the Monty Python comedy troupe about a man who is born at the same time as (and next door to)
Jesus, and whose life parallels his.

Choosing one "favorite line" from Life of Brian is a hard task for me...there are so many great lines in that movie; but I'll go with:
"All right, but apart from the sanitation, the medicine, education, wine, public order, irrigation, roads, the fresh-water system, and public health, what have the Romans ever done for us?"

Cookie Monster

A woman went into a restaurant for lunch and noticed that the kitchen had a big window in front of it so that the people could watch the chef prepare the food.
As she watched, the chef took a small ball of dough, put it under his armpit, and squeezed.
Then he put the flattened dough on a cookie sheet and continued to place dough under his armpit.

Outraged, the woman called the manager over, "What in hell is that guy doing?" she yelled.

"That's the way he makes cookies," the manager explained.

The woman continued to fume, "Well, I think that's the most disgusting thing I've ever seen!"

"Well lady," said the manager, "If you don't like it, I suggest you not be around when he makes the doughnuts

"We the People" not We the Corporations....by Jim Hightower

Jim Hightower
December 24, 2015

In response to the Supreme Court's freakish decision in 2010 to bestow political "personhood" on corporations, I got an e-mail from a guy named Larry, screaming that
"Big money has plucked our eagle."

Yes it has -- and the Powers that Be tell us that we shouldn't even try to undo this theft of our people's democratic authority, but should just try regulating corporate money, like maybe requiring them to disclose how much they're spending on campaigns.
Now there's a bold stand for democracy: "Give us campaign finance reporting regulations or give us death!"

Come on, we're bigger than that.
Here are just a few actions for real change that you can take, teaming up with others right where you live:

AMEND - Two major coalitions are organizing to overturn the court's corporate power edict by amending the Constitution.
One is FreeSpeechForPeople.org and the other is MoveToAmend.org -- and both have action kits for raising the issue locally, petitions to be circulated, video and other good graphics to educate people in your community, and a wealth of other organizing ideas.

LOCALIZE - Pass your own local and state laws to stop the wholesale corporate purchase of our government.
These include outlawing any corporate claim of personhood in your area, providing the alternative of public financing of your local and state elections, and banning campaign donations by corporations that try to get government contracts and subsidies.
For information and help, check out PublicCampaign.org and ReclaimDemocracy.org.

CONFRONT - Yes, get in the face of power.
Ask all candidates where they stand on corporate personhood and demand that top executives of big corporations located in your area publicly agree not to spend corporate cash on your elections.

Remember, the Constitution plainly says,
"We the People," not We the Corporations.

Watch trailer for "Atticus and the Architect:The Political Assassination of Don Siegelman"

To watch the trailer for the documentary:
"Atticus and the Architect: The Political Assassination of Don Siegelman"
http://www.gofundme.com/DonSiegelmanFilm

From Steve Wimberly, director of the film:

"After months and months of intensive research, interviews and filming, we are well into production on "Atticus and the Architect"
We have several more very important interviews to make this year to wrap up the year.
We want to pour our energy into telling the Don Siegelman story to as many people as possible.

From the moment this project first began, we made a commitment to tell the entire truth about this case, and substantiate it with illustrative details to provide a historical record of what really happened.
This film will hopefully make an impact by revealing many of the flaws in our judicial system that allowed this innocent man to be railroaded into prison, and to expose the judicial abuse that has become so pervasive in America's courts.

If you are familiar with this case, you know that Don Siegelman does not belong in prison at all; you also know that the objective rule of law has been completely disregarded, and replaced with the political agenda of his political rivals.
From the prosecutorial misconduct to the malicious prosecution to a wrongful conviction --
-- the list of abuses in this case is simply staggering.

We've been able to join forces with Academy Award winner Maria Florio and actor/activist Mimi Kennedy, who have both signed on as producers of the film.
Maria and Mimi will add an enormous impact of quality and expertise to our feature length documentary."

Don E. Siegelman is the former Governor of Alabama, Lt. Governor, Attorney General, and
Secretary of State.
He is currently a guest of the federal Bureau of Prisons until late 2017.

Don loves to get cards and letters from his supporters.

Protecting FBI Whistleblowers From Retalliation

Who.What.Why.org
December 17, 2015

There are few things in Washington that garner bipartisan support these days.
Protecting Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) whistleblowers is now on that short list.

On Thursday, the chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee and the ranking Democrat on the panel jointly introduced legislation to better shield from retaliation Bureau employees who report waste, fraud or misconduct.
FBI whistleblowers are among the most poorly protected in the federal workforce.

"It's no secret that FBI whistleblowers often face harsh consequences for simply trying to address failures or misconduct at work," Judiciary Committee Chairman and frequent FBI critic Chuck Grassley (R-IA) said.

"Inconsistent and confusing disclosure rules and perpetual delays in retaliation investigations have left well-intentioned whistleblowers without adequate protections from reprisal."

Former agent Michael German a 16-year veteran of the Bureau, is one of the best known FBI whistleblowers, and his case illustrates that retaliation against those speaking out could weaken national security.

"I know the toll exacted on whistleblowers because I resigned from the FBI after this system failed to protect me from retaliation for internally reporting a mismanaged terrorism investigation," German testified before the committee earlier this year.
