Tell National Geographic: Cancel Show Featuring Violent Insurrectionist

http://csgv.org/action/tell-national-geographic-cancel-show-featuring-violent-insurrectionist/

Why is National Geographic trying to make a star out of a violent pro-gun extremist? In January 2013, James Yeager, the CEO of a firearms training company, made national headlines when he posted a video to YouTube in which he threatened to “start killing people” if the White House issued executive orders to reduce gun violence in the United States. In the video, Yeager warned:

Vice President [Joe] Biden is asking the president to bypass Congress and use executive privilege, executive order to ban assault rifles and to impose stricter gun control. Fuck that. I’m telling you that if that happens, it’s going to spark a civil war, and I’ll be glad to fire the first shot. I’m not putting up with it. You shouldn’t put up with it. And I need all you patriots to start thinking about what you’re going to do, load your damn mags, make sure your rifle’s clean, pack a backpack with some food in it and get ready to fight. I’m not fucking putting up with this. I’m not letting my country be ruled by a dictator. I’m not letting anybody take my guns! If it goes one inch further, I’m gonna start killing people.

Now, Yeager is set to star in the third season of National Geographic’s “Doomsday Preppers,” where he will have a national platform to spread his insurrectionist ideology. As a leading nonprofit scientific and educational institution, the National Geographic Society should have nothing to do with individuals who actively threaten to wage war against government officials and other fellow Americans.

Tell National Geographic: Cancel your show featuring violent insurrectionist James Yeager.

Wisconsin: Wisconsin DOJ says little on release of Capitol protesters' confidential information

Apparently a whole bunch of private information on the Solidarity Singers arrested at the Capitol Singalongs has been released to the public. Intimidation tactics are what Walker and his henchmen have turned to in their quest to stop the protests.

http://www.isthmus.com/daily/article.php?article=40929

Isthmus reported Monday that Capitol protester Craig Spaulding and others who are demanding jury trials recently received confidential information on other activists from DOJ attorneys. Spaulding alone received personal information, including addresses, driver's license and Social Security numbers, on more than 60 other protesters at his pre-trial conference on Friday.

...

Rep. Chris Taylor (D-Madison), who has been a vocal critic of the arrests of Solidarity Sing Along participants, called the release of confidential information by DOJ "totally unacceptable." "They need to immediately let everybody know whose personal information was released," she says. "This is how identify fraud happens -- when Social Security numbers and driver's license numbers get out."

Taylor also questioned Brueck's statement that those protesters being prosecuted by the DOJ are required to receive, through the discovery process, the police reports of other protesters. "I am not sure why all this information would be included," says Taylor, who is an attorney. "Even in discovery, when you have information of another person that is not pertinent, you redact it."

Attorney Susan Crawford, a former legal counsel to Gov. Jim Doyle, says the release of Social Security numbers could be a violation of the federal Social Security Act, which requires that public agencies that obtain or maintain social security numbers not disclose them. "[The DOJ] shouldn't be releasing social security numbers," she says.

(Milwaukee) Journal Sentinel files motion asking John Doe judge to release sealed county records

http://www.jsonline.com/news/journal-sentinel-files-motion-asking-john-doe-judge-to-release-sealed-county-records-b99101296z1-224297371.html?ipad=y

Thousands of Milwaukee County documents and emails seized in a John Doe investigation remain sealed seven months after the inquiry ended, and should be returned to the county so the public can gain access to them, according to a legal filing by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

Lawyers for the Journal Sentinel and reporter Dave Umhoefer filed a motion Wednesday asking that the Doe be reopened for a hearing on the newspaper's request that District Attorney John Chisholm return the sealed records to the county. Not doing so, the paper argued, "would encourage other public officials and employees to pursue similar approaches to try to avoid public oversight of their conduct."

...

The John Doe began in May 2010 to examine the possible misuse of public resources for political purposes. It led to the convictions of six people, including three former aides to Gov. Scott Walker while he was Milwaukee County executive, one Walker appointee, a major campaign contributor and a domestic partner of one of the defendants. The Doe was closed Feb. 21.

In July, Umhoefer made a public records request to reserve Judge Neal Nettesheim, who presided over the Doe, for any communications he may have had with people involved in a lawsuit over the fatal 2010 failure of the county's parking garage at O'Donnell Park. A large concrete panel fell from the garage and killed a teenager as he walked to Summerfest.

An 80-year-old Irishman goes to the doctor for a check-up

An 80-year-old Irishman goes to the doctor for a check-up. The doctor is
amazed at what good shape the guy is in and asks, 'How do you stay in such great physical condition?'

'Weel, you see I'm Irish and I'm a golfer,' says the old guy, 'I'm up before daylight and out golfin' up and down the fairways. Then I have a pint of stout, and all is well.'

'That helps,' says the doctor, 'but I'm sure there's more to it. How old was your father when he died?'

'Who says my Da's dead?'

The doctor is amazed. 'You mean you're 80 years old and your father's
still alive. How old is he?'

'He's 100 years old,' says the old Irish golfer. 'In fact he golfed with me this mornin' and then we had a wee drab o' whiskey.'

'That's great,' the doctor says, 'but there's got to be more to it. How about your father's father? How old was he when he died?'

'Who says my Grandda's dead?'

Stunned, the doctor says, 'you mean you're 80 years old and your
grandfather's still living! Incredible! How old is he?'

'He's 118 years,' says the old Irish golfer.

The doctor is getting frustrated. 'So, I guess he went golfing with you this morning too?'

'No, Grandda couldna go this mornin'. He's gettin' married today.'

The doctor loses it. 'Getting married? Why would a 118 year-old man want to get married?'

'Who says he wants to?'
