There Will Be Blood
At a Donald Trump rally, supporters call for the death of Hillary Clinton.
They’ve got murder on their minds now.
At the previous Donald Trump rally I’d attended, in Greensboro, North Carolina, Hillary Clinton was called a “bitch” more times that I could count. “Trump That Bitch” was the most common refrain. They shouted it from the rafters, wore T-shirts emblazoned with it. But at a rally in Raleigh on Tuesday night, a new cry rang out:
“Hang that bitch!”
The anger among Trump supporters toward the presumptive Democratic nominee apparently had escalated in the past month, perhaps especially so after FBI Director James Comey announced on Tuesday morning that he would not seek criminal charges against Clinton over her email scandal. This was a travesty against justice, obvious proof of corruption. As Trump said on stage, “Today is the best evidence ever, that we’ve seen, that our system is absolutely, totally rigged.”
Clinton might have escaped criminal justice, but this mob had a different kind of justice in mind. Trumping that bitch was no longer good enough. Now they wanted her dead.

The first time I heard someone yell “Hang that bitch!” was during a speech by Trump policy advisor Stephen Miller. I heard “hang that bitch” at least twice more during Trump’s speech, remarks that led to the crowd’s calls for Comey to be fired. Trump alleged that former President Bill Clinton had tampered with the FBI’s investigation, and that Hillary had used her position as secretary of state to line her pockets and singlehandedly destabilize the Middle East.
While Trump made the latter case, a man stood up and yelled, “Hang Hillary!”
“Yeah!” another shouted.
A smattering of applause.
Nearly six years have passed since I last heard, in person, somebody call for the death of a politician. I was at a Tea Party informational meeting at the Greene County Fairgrounds outside Bloomfield, Indiana, back when Obamacare was still a dirty word. Speakers equated President Barack Obama with Mao Zedong and Joseph Stalin. They alluded to the Great Famine and the Great Purge. If Obama had his way, they argued, we should all be ready to report to work camps. After the presentation, I listened to farmers and factory workers alike wonder whether to take up arms and march on Washington. If the time had come, as one speaker put it, to “refresh the tree of liberty with the blood of tyrants.”
There was a similar mood at Trump’s rally in Raleigh—the notion that extraordinary circumstances call for extraordinary means. For bloodshed. Trump himself implied as much when he invoked Saddam Hussein approvingly. “Saddam Hussein was a bad guy, right?” Trump said. “He was a bad guy, a really bad guy. But you know what he did well? He killed terrorists.”

I do not know your name—but your words are forever seared on my soul. Words that should be required reading for men and women of all ages.
Words that I wish with all of my heart you never had to write.
I am in awe of your courage for speaking out—for so clearly naming the wrongs that were done to you and so passionately asserting your equal claim to human dignity.
And I am filled with furious anger—both that this happened to you and that our culture is still so broken that you were ever put in the position of defending your own worth.
It must have been wrenching—to relive what he did to you all over again. But you did it anyway, in the hope that your strength might prevent this crime from happening to someone else. Your bravery is breathtaking.
You are a warrior—with a solid steel spine.
I do not know your name—but I know that a lot of people failed you that terrible January night and in the months that followed.
Anyone at that party who saw that you were incapacitated yet looked the other way and did not offer assistance. Anyone who dismissed what happened to you as “just another crazy night.” Anyone who asked “what did you expect would happen when you drank that much?” or thought you must have brought it on yourself.
You were failed by a culture on our college campuses where one in five women is sexually assaulted—year after year after year. A culture that promotes passivity. That encourages young men and women on campuses to simply turn a blind eye.
The statistics on college sexual assault haven’t gone down in the past two decades. It’s obscene, and it’s a failure that lies at all our feet.
And you were failed by anyone who dared to question this one clear and simple truth: Sex without consent is rape. Period. It is a crime.
I do not know your name—but thanks to you, I know that heroes ride bicycles.
Those two men who saw what was happening to you—who took it upon themselves to step in—they did what they instinctually knew to be right.
They did not say “It’s none of my business.”
They did not worry about the social or safety implications of intervening, or about what their peers might think.
Those two men epitomize what it means to be a responsible bystander.

I'm not sure I understand...
At the end of the primary. Hillary will have more votes & more pledged delegates.
Bernie's plan is to go to the SD's and try and convince them to flip and support him tipping the scales (giving him enough delegates--pledged and SD's) to be the nominee.
In doing this it would ignore/over rule/the voters? 
Is this the plan? Do I understand what Bernie's plan is?

Sanders: I'll fight to keep Republican out of White House if I'm not nominee
Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders said Wednesday that even if he isn't the Democratic nominee, he will do everything he can to make sure a Republican is not elected in November.
"I think Hillary Clinton and I agree on this, that we will do everything we can to make sure that a Republican does not win the White House, and I will knock my brains out," he told MSNBC's Chris Jansing.
"I will work seven days a week to make sure that that does not happen if I am the nominee and if I am not the nominee. That's what I will do."
During the interview, Sanders said that "of course" his views align much more with Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton than with Republican front-runner Donald Trump.
He said he doesn't think Trump "has any judgment whatsoever."
When asked if he believes Clinton is smart, Sanders responded: "Oh, god yes, she is very smart."
Although the Vermont senator acknowledged that he's the underdog, he said he still has a "narrow path" to victory and will fight "for every vote that we can get to make that victory happen."
During a rally Wednesday, Sanders insisted that he was in the race to win it.
"Let me make it clear so there is no confusion,” Sanders said during a rally at Purdue University in Indiana. “We are in this campaign to win and become the Democratic nominee.

Hillary makes her case in Delaware
Hillary Clinton urged Delaware voters to support her in the Democratic presidential primary during a Monday rally in Wilmington, arguing her decades of experience working with Congress and international leaders make her best-qualified for the job.
"If you will go out and vote for me tomorrow, I will stand up and fight for you through this campaign and all the way to the White House," Clinton said as she closed out her speech, the crowd rising in a chorus of cheers.
In a show of force from the state's political establishment, Gov. Jack Markell and all three members of Delaware's Congressional delegation played up Clinton's credentials.
"There is nothing that faces our country in this dangerous, difficult and divided world that will surprise her," Sen. Chris Coons said. "This is a woman fully capable of being one of the greatest American presidents starting from her first day."
Clinton's visit comes amid a flurry of campaign activity leading up to the Delaware primary on Tuesday.
Republican Donald Trump drew thousands to the state fairgrounds in Harrington on Friday, and Clinton's challenger, Bernie Sanders, drew thousands more to the Chase Center in Wilmington on Saturday.
Clinton's Monday speech took place in the Cafe Live at the Queen, a smaller venue than those rallies. But she received a boisterous applause and cheers from the crowd, after she arrived on stage around 12:30 p.m.
Prior to that entrance, chants of "Hillary, Hillary" erupted sporadically among the roughly 700 attendees who filled the mostly standing-room hall. She received several ovations throughout her speech.

She also expressed sadness over the death of Howard High School of Technology student, Amy Inita Joyner-Francis, who died during a fight in a school restroom Thursday.
"We can't let this go on," she said, referencing violence among youth.
