James48's JournalWhy isn't there a "military members" thread?
Military members are a significant size common interest group. So why not a file forum for military members?
Or should it just generically go under national security?
Because these days I see the two arent necessarily aligned, so maybe it would be better to divide the forums? .
Or maybe veterans and military members should be one group.

Jackson heads to court in Cross Village conspiracy-fueled plot
CROSS VILLAGE A woman who faces fraud charges after she was accused of plotting to clone voting data from a ballot tabulator is scheduled for a preliminary hearing in 90th District Court, though some local officials say theyre frustrated no one has yet been charged in a related break in.
I feel like everyone in the judicial system is just trying to cover it up, Cross Village Township Clerk Diana Keller said. They should be bringing in people who were there, and asking them why they were there, under oath.
Tera Jackson of Petoskey was arrested in October on felony charges of fraud and unauthorized access of a computer related to an incident at the township hall Jan. 14, 2021, court records show.
(Says she was hired by Sidney Powell)
Witnesses, including Township Trustee Howard Wood, told police Jackson said she worked for Sidney Powell and a so-called Election Integrity Commission and needed them to clone or back up data on the townships ballot tabulator before it was wiped clean.
Powell is a New York attorney known for espousing conspiracy theories and who once worked with former President Donald Trumps attorney, Rudy Giuliani, on behalf of Trump in failed election-challenging legal efforts.

Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin tests positive for the coronavirus
Source: Stars and Stripes
Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin tested positive over the weekend for COVID-19, the Pentagon announced Sunday evening.
Austin, in a statement attributed to him, said he was tested Sunday after exhibiting symptoms of the coronavirus respiratory disease while at home on leave.
My symptoms are mild, and I am following my physicians directions, Austin said.
As my doctor made clear to me, my fully vaccinated status and the booster I received in early October have rendered the infection much more mild than it would otherwise have been. And I am grateful for that.

Source: The Hill
Authorities in Iowa have arrested a man who was found during a traffic stop to be carrying a rifle and a "hit list" that included President Biden and Anthony Fauci, the nation's top infectious diseases expert, The Los Angeles Times reported.
Kuachua Brillion Xiong, from Merced, Calif., was taken into custody last week after allegedly telling police who pulled him over for driving aggressively that he was on his way to the White House "to kill persons in power," according to federal court records that were unsealed Tuesday.
Authorities said they found an AR-15-type rifle, ammunition, body armor, medical kits and a grappling hook in Xiong's vehicle, per court records.
Xiong's "hit list" of targets was compiled from TikTok videos, according to court records. In addition to Biden and Fauci, the Times reported that the list included former Presidents Clinton and Obama and Meta Chief Executive Mark Zuckerberg, among others.

An anti-vax podcaster has reportedly contracted COVID-19 and now is hospitalized on a ventilator
Source: Business Insider
Anti-vax podcaster Doug Kuzma has contracted the coronavirus and is now hooked up to a ventilator at a Virginia hospital, according to attorney Lin Wood and his podcast network.
Wood, who pushed false claims that the 2020 presidential election was rigged against former President Donald Trump and who has ties to the QAnon conspiracy theory movement, said in a Telegram message on Friday that Kuzma contracted COVID-19 after attending the right-wing "ReAwaken America" event in Dallas earlier this month.
"Doug has taken a turn for the worse," Wood wrote. "His lungs are not responding to treatment."
"Doug needs heavy heavy prayers," a Frog News Telegram said, adding that he's unconscious and unable to respond to calls or messages.

Michigan diner owner who defied state shutdown dies of COVID-19
BRANCH COUNTY, MI A diner owner who kept his restaurant open in defiance of state shutdowns has died after more than a two-month battle with COVID-19.
John Parney Sr., 62, died Dec. 14. He owned the Quincy Diner, 174 E. Chicago St. (U.S. 12) in the village of Quincy. He kept the restaurant open in December 2020, in violation of the partial shutdown ordered by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services.
(Snip)
Parney was first hospitalized for three days Sept. 29. Two days after his discharge, his family found him incoherent and confused and took him back to the hospital, according to a GoFundMe raising funds for his family.
He had not been vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to his illness, according to the GoFundMe post, but told his family he planned to get vaccinated after his discharge from the hospital, because the virus was worse than even the toughest military training he endured.
