Marvel Studios Seeking Openly Gay Male Lead for 'The Eternals'

They’ve been saying it for years, but have never acted on it so far. But, Kevin Feige has recently said that Marvel Studios would strive to be more diverse and inclusive in their features in the future, including LGBTQ characters, which may be sooner than anyone expected. Former MCUExchange co-editor-in-chief, Charles Murphy, has reported that Marvel Studios is seeking an openly gay actor to portray one of the male leads for The Eternals.

They describe the casting as an actor between the ages of 30-49 and looks like a superhero. They also say that the studio is open to any ethnicity for the role, but that they’re pursuing an openly gay actor.

Many are already speculating that this male lead will be Hercules, who in the comic books has been portrayed (or at least implied) to be bisexual. Although. that whole situation seems to be pretty screwy as former editor-in-chief Axel Alonso had denied it at the time.

Still undecided, but I am focused on six primary candidates and ruled three out.

I am looking closely at the following six declared/undeclared candidates: Biden, Brown, Harrie, Inslee, O'Rourk and Warren.

I ruled out he following three for the primary: Bloomberg, Gabbard and Sanders.

I want to also take a moment to mention Mayor Pete Buttigieg for his great profile and message and hope that he never rules out future run for Congress, the Senate or Governor.

The North Koreans have won. U.S. will reportedly end large-scale military drills with South Korea

The U.S. military will no longer conduct large-scale drills with South Korea, NBC News and The Wall Street Journal reported Friday, each citing two unnamed defense officials.

Instead of major annual exercises, the officials said, U.S. and South Korean forces will cooperate on smaller, less costly training projects. "The U.S. has identified ways to mitigate potential readiness concerns by looking at required mission tasks versus having to conduct large-scale exercises," one official told NBC.

The large-scale exercises were suspended last year after President Trump promised to stop the "provocative" war games during his first summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un in Singapore. Another set of drills was canceled in October to further diplomatic progress with Pyongyang.

Gay Florida teen kicked out of home lands internship with Dem congresswoman

The gay Florida teen who received national attention last year after his parents kicked him out of his home and left him without enough money to attend Georgetown recently landed an internship at Rep. Stephanie Murphy's (D-Fla.) office and is prospering at the university.

Murphy's office told The Hill on Saturday the congresswoman had contacted Georgetown to offer her support and an internship for Seth Owen after hearing about his story.

"I am proud that Seth chose to be a part of our team," Murphy said in a statement to The Hill. "He will always be welcomed here, and I'm am happy to see him thrive. Our entire office is rooting for his continued success."

Owen began interning at the congresswoman's office in January and will be working with the office for the remainder of his spring semester.

Owen told the Orlando Sentinel Friday that he has also started a scholarship designed to help "students in marginalized communities access post-secondary education." He said he used a $25,000 donation he received from Ellen DeGeneres last year to start the initiative, which will be provided by his Unbroken Horizons Scholarship Foundation.

House freshman Tom Malinowski (D-NJ) to introduce bill blaming Kim Jong Un for Otto Warmbier death

Rep. Tom Malinowski (D-N.J.) announced Friday he intends to introduce a bill officially blaming North Korean leader Kim Jong Un for the death of U.S. student Otto Warmbier.

“I’ll be introducing a bipartisan resolution next week affirming that Congress holds Kim Jong Un responsible for the death of Otto Warmbier,” Malinowski tweeted.

President Trump sparked a furor when he said he believed Kim was unaware of Warmbier’s treatment.

The student was detained in North Korea for taking down a poster while studying there in 2016. He was sentenced to 15 years of hard labor but returned to the United States in a comatose state in 2017 and died shortly after.

“He tells me he didn’t know about it, and I take him at his word,” Trump said Thursday during a denuclearization summit with Kim.
