Sen. John McCain told CNN that he might campaign with Donald Trump if he apologized for comments made about prisoners of war.
Said McCain: A lot of things would have to happen. I think its important for Donald Trump to express his appreciation for veterans, not John McCain, but veterans who were incarcerated as prisoners of war.
He added: Id like to see him retract that statement. Not about me, but about the others.

IL-SEN: Mark Kirk Embraces Trump
Though he faces a tough re-election race, Sen. Mark Kirk (R-IL) claims to be confident that Donald Trump at the top of the Republican ticket will actually improve his chances of keeping his seat.
"Donald Trump is kind of a riverboat gamble," Kirk told CNN on Friday. "He won the Illinois primary, in this case we have seen the Republican vote up and the Democratic vote down, so it looks like it's a net benefit."
While Kirk has said he would endorse Trump if he becomes the nominee, he maintained that Republican voters in Illinois would be able to distinguish his own platform from the real estate moguls.
These days Im probably the best-positioned Republican to weather the institution of Trumpism because I have been voting pro-gay rights and against the gun lobby and solidly pro-choice, Kirk said in the CNN interview.

RUMOR: Could Indie Filmmaker Emily Carmichael Be Directing ‘Captain Marvel’?
While we should expect to hear this news soon as Kevin Feige earlier revealed that they would be making an announcement soon, we might have an idea who could be directing Marvels upcoming Captain Marvel film. ComicBookMovie was tipped off that the films screenwriter Nicole Perlman recently followed independent filmmaker Emily Carmichael.
While this doesnt necessarily mean anything other than her possibly being a fan of her work, there is something interesting that is definitely worth additionally noting.A few weeks ago, the director posted an image to Instagram a few weeks with the caption on my way to a Disney meeting which has since been changed. Right now, this is all circumstantional evidence but both bits are very interestingly timed.
Recently The Wraps Jeff Sneider hinted that we could see the director of the upcoming film feature the same name as the films lead. If Carmichel ends up being the films director, could this also indicate that we might also see fan-favorite Emily Blunt as Carol Danvers in the MCU? This is all speculation at the moment but theres some very interesting things here. Let us know what you think about these possibilities in the comments section below.

Sharon Stone Reveals She Has A Role In An Upcoming Marvel Film
With a few of Marvels Phase Three releases getting ready to kick off production in the coming months, the studio is currently filling out the cast of these projects and it looks like we might just know another addition to one of them. While making an appearance on The Late Late Show with James Corden, actress Sharon Stone revealed that the she is one of the latest additions the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Which film the actress will appear in remains to be seen but with filming getting ready to start soon on both Spider-Man: Homecoming & Thor: Ragnarok, those two seem like safe bets as to where we might see Stone make an appearance. However, Avengers: Infnity War also starts filming later this year as well, so well have to wait and see just where she pops up in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Romney Urged to Run as an Independent
In spite of his insistence that he will not run, Mitt Romney is being courted this week by a leading conservative commentator to reconsider and jump into the volatile 2016 presidential race as an independent candidate.
William Kristol, the longtime editor of the Weekly Standard magazine and a leading voice on the right, met privately with the 2012 nominee on Thursday afternoon to discuss the possibility of launching an independent bid, potentially with Romney as its standard-bearer.
He came pretty close to being elected president, so I thought he may consider doing it, especially since he has been very forthright in explaining why Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton should not be president of the United States, Kristol said in a phone interview Friday, during which he confirmed that he and Romney had a little meeting in Washington.
But knowing Romneys reluctance, Kristol told Romney that if he remains unwilling to run, many top conservatives would appreciate having the former Massachusetts governors support for an independent candidate, should Kristol and other right-leaning figures enlist a willing contender.

Finally tried Uber...Not Shabby
I've resisted trying Uber for the longest time until I was stuck in a spot with no public transportation or taxi service. I broke down, tapped the app I added to my phone for such a contingency and summoned a car. I rode during an off-peak time so the total fare was actually less than a cab. I also had the good fortune of encountering a pleasant driver. I want to support our taxis as much as possible, but it's good to know Uber work in a pinch.
The GOP's 24-hour meltdown
onald Trump on Tuesday night assumed the mantle of presumptive nominee and declared: We want to bring unity to the Republican Party. We have to bring unity.
Three days later, the GOP is tearing itself apart.
Friday brought another day of incredible division and revolt with Jeb Bush and Lindsey Graham falling in line not behind Trump, but behind House Speaker Paul Ryan, who said a day earlier that he cannot yet support the brash real estate mogul as his partys standard-bearer.
Trump, instead of trying to make peace, lashed out.
He fired off a vicious statement, calling Graham an embarrassment with zero credibility.
Then he laced into both of his former rivals during his rally in Omaha, Nebraska, where he is continuing to campaign ahead of Tuesdays primary, despite having vanquished the rest of the GOP field.
But I wont talk about Jeb Bush. I will not say I will not say hes low energy. I will not say it, Trump told a boisterous crowd who booed at the mention of his critics. I will not say it. And I wont talk about Lindsey Graham, who had like 1 point, you ever see this guy on television? He is nasty.
He leaves a disgrace, he cant represent the people of South Carolina well.

Being Human: BBC or SyFy?
I'm in the middle of binge watching the SyFy Channel's version of Being Human. Fortunately, it's different enough from the BBC version to be enjoyable, but I still have to give the edge to the BBC's. What do you think?
