Two Photos at the empty JoePa statue site that are indicative of the change at PSU:

Dear PSU students, fans and worshipers,
JOE PATERNO WAS NOT A VICTIM!

You seem to be unable to wrap your twee minds around this fact. Until there is some iota of change and remorse about what happened, I hope you lose every game you play by eleventy billion points.

It seemed that you were going to stand up and play while putting PSU pride back together. It now appears that you are intent on strengthening the cult of Joe. That is what lead to this abominable situation.

Signed,
Gawd and Everybody

Romney aide loses cool, curses at press in Poland

<snip>
When members of the press tried to ask Romney about some of the mishaps on his trip, his traveling press secretary Rick Gorka verbally dressed down reporters.

Here's a transcript of the questions and Gorka's response:

CNN: "Governor Romney are you concerned about some of the mishaps of your trip?

NYT: "Governor Romney do you have a statement for the Palestinians?

Washington Post: "What about your gaffes?

NYT: "Governor Romney do you feel that your gaffes have overshadowed your foreign trip?"

CNN: "Governor Romney just a few questions sir, you haven't taken but three questions on this trip from the press!

Gorka: "Show some respect"

NYT: "We haven't had another chance to ask a question..."

Gorka: "Kiss my ass. This is a Holy site for the Polish people. Show some respect."

Moments later, Gorka told Jonathan Martin, a reporter for Politico, to "shove it." About a half-hour later, the aide called reporters to apologize.

Governor, school president should be off Penn State board of trustees, auditor general says

Pennsylvania’s governor and Penn State’s president should not serve as voting members of the university’s board of trustees, the state’s elected governmental watchdog said Thursday.

Auditor General Jack Wagner said the Legislature needs to act on his proposal because it is not possible for the university trustees to be objective in restructuring the organization.

Wagner said the university president, currently Rodney Erickson, should not be a member of the board at all, and that the governor, who is now Tom Corbett, should only serve as a non-voting member to address concerns about a potential conflict of interest.

Corbett is a Republican, while Wagner is among the state’s highest-ranking elected Democrats.
Corbett spokesman Kevin Harley was dismissive of the idea. “That sounds like a recommendation from someone who lost a race for governor,” Harley said. A spokesman for Erickson did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Politics is always played, but with any governor on a BOT it raises the stakes.
I hope Corbett gets nailed in one of the ongoing investigations.

Jerry Sandusky case: Lawyers say they've found Victim 2, the boy Mike McQueary saw being molested

Andrew Shubin and Justine Andronici, two lawyers who launched their own investigation into Sandusky's activities over the last four decades -- and the reactions of people around him -- say that Victim 2 has identified himself to them.

As part of the investigation, they acquired voicemails from Sandusky to the man, and released those on www. rossfellercasey.com, the website of the Philadelphia law firm they are working with.

In both, Sandusky ends the message with "love you."

They released a statement that reads, in part:

"Our client suffered extensive sexual abuse over many years both before and after the 2001 incident Michael McQueary witnessed in the Penn State Lasch building shower.

Mitten's genealogy:

<snip>
Like Mitt Romney, the Mexican Romneys are descendants of Miles Park Romney, who came to the Chihuahua desert in 1885 seeking refuge from US antipolygamy laws. He had four wives and 30 children, and on the rocky banks of the Piedras Verdes River, he and his fellow Mormon pioneers carved out a prosperous settlement beyond the reach of US federal marshals. He was Mitt Romney’s great-grandfather.

http://articles.boston.com/2012-07-12/nation/32639661_1_miles-park-romney-mitt-romney-george-romney

Mitt Romney’s father George was born in Chihuahua, Mexico in 1907, the son of Gaskell Romney and Anna Amelia Pratt. Three generations of Romneys lived in Mexico because Miles Park Romney, a polygamist, moved the family there in 1884 as it became increasingly clear that the U.S. government would not tolerate polygamy in the Utah Territory. The 1882 Edmunds Act stripped polygamists of the basic rights of U.S. citizenship, denying them the right to vote, serve on juries or hold office. Not dissimilar to current immigration raids, U.S. federal agents hunted and arrested polygamists, who were forced to leave the country or risk jail.

Miles chose to leave the country, bringing his multiple wives and children with him across the southern border. In his 1902 book, The Story of the Mormons, author William Alexander Linn states that the “Secretario de Fomento of Mexico” related that “The laws of this country [Mexico] do not permit polygamy,” and that the contracts for the establishment of Mormon colonies in Mexico required the same.

If true, Miles Romney then knowingly arrived in direct violation of Mexican immigration law.
Utah became a state in 1896, only after laws were passed there prohibiting polygamy. While polygamy may have been illegal in both countries, the Romneys still found Mexico more to their liking.
All four of George’s grandparents would live out their days in Mexico, with Anna’s mother Dorsey being the last to die, in Chihuahua in 1929.
