VP Joe Biden is Feeling The Bern!

Vice President Biden Praises Sanders Campaign: "I Like The Idea Of Saying We Can Do Much More

Vice President Joe Biden might be officially neutral between the Clinton and Sanders campaigns. But he certainly isn’t neutral about the contrast between their campaign styles.

From The New York Times...

“I like the idea of saying, ‘We can do much more,’ because we can,” Mr. Biden said in an interview on the Washington-to-Wilmington, Del., Amtrak train he has ridden throughout four decades in national politics.

“I don’t think any Democrat’s ever won saying, ‘We can’t think that big — we ought to really downsize here because it’s not realistic,’ ” he said in a mocking tone. “C’mon man, this is the Democratic Party! I’m not part of the party that says, ‘Well, we can’t do it.’ ”

...

he likes the idea that Mr. Sanders is aiming high, regardless of whether the large steps he envisions to narrow income inequality and broaden economic opportunity become realized in the next presidential term. The philosophy Mr. Biden has advocated within the Obama White House: Push for a lot, and persevere over the long run.

...

“Presidents have always been told by really smart people: ‘Don’t push something that you can’t succeed in — it diminishes your power,’ ” he said. “I completely disagree with that proposition.”

Now, now Joe, people might call you a dreamer or an idealist or one of those nasty, 'socialist' people who think we should have what other countries have, or something! Lol!

It's hard not to when Bernie makes so much sense. Thanks Joe, this is not the first time Biden has done this. A few months ago he told a bunch of young people to 'vote for Bernie, he's a good man'. Wrote an OP about here airc. And on another occasion told another group of young people that Bernie is right about the money in politics and they needed to make that their #1 issue.

Thank you Bernie Sanders For Running Such A Positive Campaign & Continuing To Do So.

From the beginning Bernie has run an incredibly positive campaign. He has consistently refused to be drawn into negative personal attacks on his opponents.

Even after the David Brock smear attempts, many of them exposed, he continued to keep his focus on the issues.

Even after Hillary personally led one of the worst, most despicable personal attacks I have ever seen in any campaign against an opponent, he continued to focus on the issues.

I hope Hillary will tone down the smears against one of the most ethical and issues focused candidates we have seen in a long time.

One of the reasons I did not support her in 2008 was the awful negative attacks her campaign launched against Obama even to the point of an email going out from her campaign playing into the playing into the Right Wing meme that Obama was a 'Muslim Terrorist'.

I know it must be hard for Bernie NOT to respond to some of the awful smears generated from that right wing smear monger David Brock, the man who tried to destroy Anita Hill, yet he has refrained from doing so.

To exploit dead children to attack an opponent is probably one of the lowest campaign tactics any of us remember.

Hillary, who approved the sale of Remington arms to Saudi Arabia now being used in the awful brutal war in Yemen. owes Bernie Sanders an apology.

Meantime I want to thank Bernie once again for refraining from stooping to that level, I would probably lose all respect for him if he did.

Go Bernie, Onto the Convention and the Nomination.

Attention NY Voters Wrongfully Purged From the Rolls: A Judge Has Ruled in Your Favor!

If you have not yet voted, then please do so. Ask for an affidavit and put this docket number on it: "Docket CV-16-1892"

New York Primary Update: Voters Wrongly Purged From Democratic Party Rolls May Still Be Able To Vote Judge Declares

The lawsuit was brought by Election Justice USA

The group had filed a lawsuit on Monday seeking to open the state’s primary to voters whose party affiliations had changed without their knowledge. There were numerous reports of voters who met the state’s October deadline to register with a party but found out that either their affiliation was never updated or somehow switched to unaffiliated.

This is exactly what happened in Az also, now under investigation by the DOJ

“This is our attempt to provide a means of recourse for those thousands of New York voters who find themselves in this very frustrating position, and to raise awareness about the need for a new level of accountability in the electoral process,” said Shyla Nelson, a spokesperson for Election Justice USA, in an interview with Think Progress.

The lawsuit had sought to make Tuesday’s primary open to all voters, allowing any registered voter to cast a ballot for either party, but the lawsuit itself was not heard until 9 a.m., the same time voting began for downstate residents. It was then moved to 2 p.m., and the resolution did not come until close to 3 p.m.

After Tuesday’s update, Election Justice urged voters who believe they rightly belong in the Democratic Party to demand provisional ballots.

“A suggestion by one of our visitors – ‘Reference Docket # CV-16-1892 on your provisional ballot & don’t let them turn you away; you have a constitutional right if you’re a Democrat who was purged without notice.'”

A new hearing has been scheduled by the judge.

But meantime anyone who thought they could not vote due to having their registrations altered STILL HAVE TIME to do so. Polls are open until 9.00 PM.

Thank you to the judge who clearly values the right to vote for every Citizen
