Bernie Sanders to Appear on Meet the Press on Sunday. Let's play a game:

How many times will Chuck Todd ask Bernie about Hillary? Each time he does that, make a donation to Bernie, or if you cannot do that, post something positive about Bernie on all of your Social Media sites.

And each time Bernie tells Chuck that he needs to ask Hillary, that he is there to talk about ISSUES, post some more positive stuff about Bernie.

Some people are planning to play a drinking game lol.

But considering the script the Corporate Media follows, that might be a bad idea!

Anyhow, it will be fun watching Bernie teach Chuck how to conduct an interview with a candidate for the WH.

Simply talk about the ISSUES. He does it beautifully and tells them to their faces that they are not doing their jobs when they try to talk about trivia and things the 'American People are not interested in'.

Editing this to include this great idea from DUer smokey nj:

17. Perhaps it can be done like a drinking game as the interview is happening, but instead of taking a shot, post a tweet to Chuck's feed.

ETA: I think I misunderstood the assignment. Are you talking about giving them advanced notice regarding the action? If so, I think it might be better to surprise them.

I think that's a great idea and I agree that we should surprise him also!

And here are his Social Media accounts:

https://twitter.com/chucktodd ~ don't forget you have click on 'follow' on his account to be able to tweet to him.

Here is his announcement for Sunday's Meet the Press:

So two Repubs as well as Bernie. Good, let the public see the difference.

15. Post it on the "Meet the Press" Facebook page. Or if you do Twitter (which I don't),

do it there, too.

Jon Stewart ponders the question: 'Bernie Sanders is the 'loon' in this race'?

As only he can do it, Jon Stewart takes a look at the Republican Clown Car, in video clips, confirming he IS going to retire UNLESS .... Donald Trump decided to run! Lol! That entire segment is hilarious.

Talk about loons!

Then he goes to the Democratic Primary.

Using Corporate Media Clips with various talking heads slamming Bernie Sanders 'he's a SOCIALIST FOR CHRIST'S SAKE' or 'his hair', 'too old' 'he's loony' etc etc (paraphrasing here) he exposes the bias of the corporate media.

And then he invites us to just WATCH what it is about Sanders that is so loony.

He plays some clips of Bernie talking about Wall St, about Inequality, about Social Security and then explains WHY Bernie seems so strange.

And I believe he was serious at this point.

He says that we have become so accustomed to politicians who are so scripted, so insincere, so unauthentic etc, that when we see someone like Bernie, honest, authentic etc. HE looks like the one who is strange.

Bernie was the only candidate he spoke well of. For that segment he received a huge round of applause.

http://www.mediaite.com/tv/stewart-if-fckface-von-clownstick-trump-runs-in-2016-i-might-not-retire/

I think Bernie has impressed Stewart, as he does everyone who gets to know him.

Great comments under that video also on Utube!

New Poll Shows Bernie Sanders Gaining Ground in New Hampshire

New Poll Shows Bernie Sanders Gaining Ground in New Hampshire

A new poll out of New Hampshire, home to the first presidential primaries of 2016, shows Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) gaining support among Democrats in his campaign to upset Hillary Clinton and win the party's nomination.

Commissioned by Bloomberg Politics and Saint Anselm College and conducted by the bipartisan Purple Insights group, the survey found Sanders with 18% backing among Granite State Democrats, up from 8% in February.

That's quite a jump for someone who the 'experts' say doesn't have a chance.

The poll shows that Hillary gained 6 points mainly due to the absence of Warren in this poll.

However Bernie's gains are really pretty impressive considering that back in Oct of last year when they first started to include him in polls, he was a virtual unknown to the public, polling only at 1%.

Against the odds: Still, there is understandable doubt that any candidate — especially one who has said he will not help raise money for any super PAC supporting his candidacy — can compete with the rich and, to date, smartly operated Clinton apparatus. On Sunday, Sanders got the question point-blank from CBS Face the Nation host Bob Schieffer, who asked, "Do you really believe you can beat Hillary Clinton?"

"The answer," Sanders said, "is yes."

How?

"There is, in my view, massive dissatisfaction in this country today with corporate establishment and the greed of corporate America and the incredibly unequal distribution of wealth and income, which currently exists," he told Schieffer, promising to impose a "litmus test" on campaign finance reform for potential Supreme Court nominees.

As Bernie's polls rise, Hillary's and other candidates are going down. No more '82%' polls these days.

And imo, starting out from so far behind, Bernie is like the longshot in a race, steadily catching up, already passing some of the contenders and eventually winning the race.

So all we have to do is to keep on doing what we are doing. Make sure that everyone in the country knows who Bernie is.

And don't forget, these polls are mostly from the Dem Base.

Bernie will be going after the Independent Vote AND the non-voters, people who have given up on politics.

So to see him now cutting into the Dem base so early is pretty encouraging in my view.

Bernie Sanders Fired the Opening Shot of his Political Revolution in Vermont

Bernie Sanders Just Fired the Opening Shots of His "Political Revolution" in Vermont

The independent senator and candidate for the Democratic presidential nomination took the stage here at Burlington's Waterfront Park to ceremonially kick off a campaign that has been gaining speed and support faster than even the truest believers could have imagined.

"Today, we stand here and say loudly and clearly: Enough is enough," Sanders said, his voice booming up and down the eastern shoreline of Lake Champlain. "This great nation and its government belong to all of the people and not to a handful of billionaires."

When it was his turn to speak, Sanders delivered. Unfazed by the beating sun, the candidate spoke for more than 35 minutes, spelling out in detail the stark rationale for his run — and issuing a call to arms for progressives and a liberal left which has come to feel locked out by the Obama administration.

On Wednesday, Sanders leaves the warm grip of Burlington for the political battleground of New Hampshire, where he will headline three events with voters from the first-in-the-nation primary state. Recent polls show him gaining ground there on frontrunner Hillary Clinton, who hardly managed a mention in Burlington.

"We are going to take this campaign directly to the people," Sanders said toward the end of his speech. "In town meetings, on street corners, my campaign will not be led by gossip or reckless personal attacks. These are serious times and we need serious debates."

And he's off to a GREAT start:

"to ceremonially kick off a campaign that has been gaining speed and support faster than even the truest believers could have imagined".

I said that AGAIN, because it is true. I knew once people got to know him they would be impressed, but to be honest, I thought it would take a lot longer to see his poll numbers go from 3% in Jan to where they are already. Some even as high as 24%, in NH UP to 18%!!

And he has only just begun!

The Mood of Daily Kos: Clinton or Sanders

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2015/05/22/1387015/-The-mood-of-Daily-Kos-Clinton-or-Sanders

Not since the last great debates of HRC vs. Obama have I seen such "great" primary battles....people getting behind their candidates and attacking the other people's choice.

Not a day goes by when a diary attacking one of the other candidates appears., or building up one of the two candidates appears.

I often wonder which of the two the Daily Kos community supports more, Clinton or Sanders, thus my unscientific poll here in this diary.

Last time I checked these were the results:

My choice for the 2016 Primary so far between Sanders and Clinton is...

Sanders
82% 591 votes

Clinton
15% 108 votes

Other (Stated Below)
2% 19 votes

| 718 votes | Results

Anywhere where people know who he is and what he is about, this seems to be the consensus. People overwhelmingly choose Bernie.

So all we have to do is to make sure people do know him!

If you're a member at DK you can vote in the poll. Not sure if you can if you are not a member.
